A beautiful park located by the beach. It's bustling with people. There is impressive sculpture, and two different performances alternate regularly. Admission is free, but they may ask for a small donation. Whether you give money or not doesn't matter; the performances are worth watching. There are plenty of restaurants, souvenir shops, a boat dock, beautiful beach, and more for sightseeing and enjoyment.

Great positive crowd and ambience. Good for a romantic walk down the beach. it gets crowded over the weekend but still is worth going once. And a kind of broad-walk where you have a n number of stores and the ambience around it feels so good. If you are around the area, recommend visiting the place for sure.

That's a vista point of Playa del Carmen and a starting point of a famous walking street Quinta Avenida. Must visit place in PDC to make a scenic photo with a monument, shop for souvenirs and participate in activities during the evening shows.

We stumbled upon the park after walk through the mall, paseo de Carmen. The beach here is nice just like the rest of the áreas. The park has very nice mermaid arch statue and there is a bar and restaurant nearby, right on the beach. A definite must-visit!

Very busy and entertaining during the day with things to do and see. Then at night it becomes very mellow. You just want to sit down with a cold drink and enjoy the breeze of the ocean 🎶 ✨ 😌.

Wonderful area. Safe, beautiful and well policed. For the Jazz festival there were so many people, and it had such a good vibe. 10/10

Beautiful park with a picturesque monument at the end of Quinta Avenida next to the ferry terminal and facing Playa Del Carmen. Parked on the street (10 pesos per hour) near the Choux Choux cafe and then walked to the beach with multiple access points through the avenue.

Nice beach compared to other spots that are very tiny and full of sea weed..this beach is maintained much better. Came early to beat crowds, limited spots of shade but there is some. Beach volleyball courts are there as well.

Parque Los Fundadores in Playa del Carmen is a true hidden gem and a must-visit location. This lively park is filled with vibrant Mayan dances such as "Palo Volador" and "Danza de los Voladores," providing an enriching cultural experience. The park also boasts a variety of local shops, vendors offering souvenirs, fine dining options, and food trucks, making it a hub of activity and shopping.
During our visit, we noticed that the beach had a significant amount of seaweed, which could be attributed to the season. However, this did not diminish our enjoyment. Sitting near the boardwalks, sipping coconut water, and immersing ourselves in the local culture and good vibes was a truly delightful experience.
Compared to Cancun, Playa del Carmen offers a more authentic local experience with plenty to do. It is less expensive and less touristy, allowing visitors to truly embrace the local culture. We look forward to returning for delicious tacos and more mesmerizing Mayan performances. Despite the seasonal seaweed on the beach, the park's atmosphere and the overall charm of Playa del Carmen make it a destination worth exploring.

I recently visited this park in Playa del Carmen and I highly recommend it. The park is a great place to visit, especially during the afternoons when they have traditional native dancing sessions going on. You can experience some local culture and it is also a great opportunity to enjoy the beautiful beach behind the park. The park is always clean and well-maintained. In addition to the main attraction of the park, you can also see the Voladores de Papantla who fly down on a spinning pole. Overall, this park is a must-visit destination when you're in Playa del Carmen.
