“We had an amazing time at this place! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the grounds were beautiful. There’s something for everyone here, and we highly recommend getting the all-inclusive package - it’s definitely worth it! The food was fantastic, and we especially enjoyed sitting in the pool and having drinks at the bar. We’re already planning our next visit, and we can’t wait to come back! I’ll be sure to add some pictures when we do.

Un lugar muy bonito para unas buenas vacaciones te olvidas de todo

Very old hotel, good things about this property are most of the staff are very genuine, and friendly.

Few are rude, like the lady at the omelette stand at the buffet breakfasts.
I felt how she treated white guests with dollar bills and me being brown and forgetting to carry a dollar bill with me is so different. No smile and not even a greeting, instead checking on her tips basket, until i greet her first and told her what i want with a please. Her attitude changed again toward a white lady after me.

The food quality at the Lapalapa buffet is mediocre, with limited choices, The waiters are nice and friendly.
In-room dining and poolside bar food and drinks are pretty decent. Waiters are also friendly and fast.
There are only two a la carte restaurants with very limited reservation availability, food was decent in the a-la-carte restaurant.

When I called FD to request a late c/out extension, the men I spoke to, flatly said NO, but when I tried it again while I was at the FD to exchange dollar bills for tips, Shout Out to Rossy, she nicely said “Would 12 noon work for you?” and explain to me further that I still can use the facility until 4 pm after that.
Upon c/o there was a double charge from our kid’s activity, instead of apologizing and fixing it, she asked my husband to walk all the way back to the kids club to fix it, while she could just make a call or adjust it right there.

Bellman is pretty slow, we didn’t get our luggage delivered until we had to call them at 6 pm upon c/in. And upon c/o I have to call them again 45 minutes after my first call.

The property lawn/grounds is well maintained even its old, room is very old, musty, very loud AC’s fan, thin sheets, minibar has few beer cans, soft drinks and water. One set of coffee no tea. As we are staying at the beachfront, it is quite nice, however beach at Playa Del Carmen is eroding, so it’s not as pretty as Cancun beach.

The kids club is old in the basement, open only until 6 pm, and extra fee for any activity after 6 pm some morning crafts activities have some fees, it says $10 is the highest fee, but we get charged double. I have been working in the hospitality industry all my life, and no way I am going back to this property.

Comparto mi experiencia en este hotel en el cual fuimos huéspedes por 13 noches en régimen all inclusive desde 22 noviembre 2023 al 5 diciembre 2023. La habitación preciosa y el servicio en la misma de la señora que la acondicionaba cual su nombre es Ángeles fue excelente. Las piscinas muy lindas y los jacuzzi espectaculares! Servicio de comida y bebida en la piscina así como en el buffet también excelente. No así el servicio de recepción, el cual a nuestra consideración y conociendo muchos hoteles en México en Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, el Royal Haciendas no cuenta con un personal capacitado para atender las necesidades de los huéspedes, como ya sabrán una noche nos dejaron sin cenar y yo en mi condición cursando un embarazo la recepción falló a ese nivel de gravedad. Volviendo al día de nuestro chek in al llegar al hotel a las 21hs cansados de 12 horas de vuelo desde Uruguay con escala nadie nos acompañó a nuestra habitación, tuvimos que salir a buscarla nosotros siendo que no conocíamos el hotel puesto que era la primera vez que fuimos. NUNCA NOS PASÓ EN OTRO HOTEL de ir y que nadie nos acompañe a la habitación asignada. Otro día, coordinamos ir a la 5ta Avenida y nos dijeron que mismo en recepción podíamos cambiar dinero para poder ir de compras. Acto seguido antes de irnos en la camioneta pasamos a cambiar 30 (treinta dólares) y nos dijeron que no podían porque no tenían para cambiarnos... Muy loco todo cuando nos acababan de decir el día anterior que si y ellos mismos se ofrecieron, esto último fue lo que nos dejó pensando "para qué nos ofrecieron entonces" Nunca vi que en la recepción de un hotel 5 estrellas no tengan para cambiar 30 dólares (treinta) Pues bien el día antes de nuestra partida fuimos nuevamente a recepción solicitando se comuniquen con nuestro traslado para coordinar la hora de salida a lo cual la señora se negó diciendo que no pueden realizar llamadas fuera del hotel... Tampoco nunca vi que una recepción de un 5 estrellas no llame al traslado de un huésped, primera vez que veo eso... Lo que llama mucho más la atención ya que al otro día (nos íbamos) y recibí una llamada de la recepción a mi celular... O sea no era que no pueden realizar llamadas????? Sinceramente no recomendamos este hotel, al ir incluso a la charla nos quedamos en mente para en un futuro abonar una membresía pero la ineficiencia e ineptitud del personal de recepción es tan lamentable que no queremos volver a tratar con ellos.

Para todo te piden número de habitación, los bartender se enojan si no hay propina. Son muy selectivos con los MEXICANOS, no volveria a ir... Ni lo recomiendo....
