Hacienda del Mar Los Cabos

I recently stayed at this hotel and was absolutely delighted with my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by its stunning design, reminiscent of a classic Mexican villa, which adds an authentic and charming touch to the stay. The staff here are exceptional - always friendly, welcoming, and ready to assist with any needs. As for the rooms, they are spacious and well-appointed, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. Overall, this hotel is a wonderful choice for anyone looking for a combination of beauty, comfort, and outstanding service.

I like the atmosphere and quaintness of this resort. My flight back home was canceled and American Airlines put us up here. We ate at the buffet. The food was very tasty. The rooms were large. They had the best water pressure of any hotel over ever been to. The staff was attentive and very quick to solve any issues. I would return.

This place is awesome and was perfect for a relaxing couples weekend. Loved the resort here and the beach was beautiful with Humpback whales visible off the shore, great pools, decent fitness center, Beach chairs and volleyball, and good food and restaurants. The problem is the restaurants are expensive and there are no alternative food options nearby. Not in a walkable location at all. Need a taxi to go anywhere. The breakfast buffet was the best value ($30/person USD) and had good food overall. The made to order quesadillas were awesome!

Went for a quick 3-night sisters trip between Christmas and new years. We had a fantastic time! The room was big and clean, service was awesome, and the breakfast buffet was AMAZING! It was easy to Uber to both Cabo/Marina and also San Jose. San Jose was my favorite, hands down. We loved the hotel and will definitely stay there again any time we go to Cabo. Loved it!

People complain... but we had a great stay. Just to be alive in the sun on the beach.... is a miracle....

Loved it, would definitely go back. I love the fact that it's right on the beach, not a lot of hagglers on the beach. Staf is super helpful and friendly. Highly recommend going to the market to get groceries the resort is quite expensive. There isn't any entertainment in the evening it's a very quiet place

This is a review of the all inclusive option at Hacienda Del Mar which I surprisingly had difficulty finding info about when preparing to visit this resort, so I hope this helps you!

To start, we booked our trip through Travelzoo for 4 nights with an ocean view room and the all-inclusive package. This all inclusive option is sometimes called a Meal Plan with other bookings but I believe it is all the same.

With the all inclusive package you get unlimited food at any of the restaurants, as well as drinks both alcoholic and nonalcoholic (this includes liquor and not just beer and wine).

The only all-inclusive limitations the are not covered are the coffee shop, the 24/7 room service, and the De Cortez restaurant and Pitahayas restaurant where several items on each menu were marked as having an additional fee of 320 pesos if you wanted to order them. Other than that, literally EVERYTHING was included and the only thing you will have to do is leave a tip.

Speaking of those extra items on the menus though, I would definitely recommend the Pork Chop at Pitahayas. Easily the best one I’ve ever had with such a depth of flavor even though it’s a thick cut of meat. You have to try it!

Otherwise, you have a ton of choices for where to eat and they were all excellent. Tomatoes has an incredible breakfast buffet where the chef will press fresh masa into corn tortillas and make a taco with a variety of fillings right in front of you. Think of it like an omelette bar at a traditional hotel (which they do also have an omelette bar), but these are tacos which are arguably some of the best and freshest I’ve ever had - and I eat a LOT of tacos!

The dinner buffet at tomatoes is excellent as well with a rotating selection that will take you a week to experience it all, and I would be doing a huge disservice if I didn’t mention Las Sirenas restaurant by the pool which has a massive variety of drinks and a huge array of food options, all of which are fantastic.

Get the shrimp tostada and cali shrimp sushi roll, you will be in heaven!

As a plus, the full drink and food menu is also available poolside with attendants coming by every 15 minutes or to check on you. Ours was Marichuy and she was a delight! She brought us buckets of ice filled with bottled waters, any drinks we wanted, plus took our food orders, it was excellent!

This resort is excellent, especially if you can get a package that includes the all-inclusive option. I will warn you that if you do not, our group of six rang up an $800 bill at our first night at dinner. Thankfully, because of the all inclusive, we just left a tip and everything else was covered.

I will be spending my time dreaming of the next time I can return to Hacienda Del Mar Los Cabos. You will greatly enjoy your stay here, just make sure you get the all inclusive!

The property was beautiful and the staff was all very friendly. We arrived 1 hour early, and there were absolutely no issues checking in early. Took all but 5 minutes to get checked in. The pools are amazing and my room was very clean and comfortable.

Our first time in Cabo. Family has a time share here and we’re staying with them. Lots of sun and pools, had a great time. The only thing that caught us off guard was guard was going into town at some of the restaurants we paid around $50 a plate. If you drink plan on extra there too.

Great views of the Ocean, and the staff are courteous and wonderful. The only bad thing for us, was the hotel foods blandness and lack of flavor. Other than that though....we had a blast!

Great resort. I only left the resort once all week. It is beautiful here. Great food and amenities.

My wife and I first visited Hacienda Del Mar Los Cabos shortly after getting engaged in 2018, although we were really there because she was attending a work conference.

We feel in love with the resort immediately - the beautiful landscaping, the kind and welcoming staff, and amazing food and drink selections all around the resort blew us away. We had a magical time when we visited then, and our experience stuck with us ever since - we found ourselves comparing nearly every other place we visited to HDM.

Needless to say, over five years since first visiting, we decided to return five years later. We were worried that after multiple changes in ownership and weathering the Covid-19 pandemic, things wouldn't be as we remembered - perhaps the food wouldn't be as good, the resort's cleanliness may have slipped, and the passage of time would have dulled the luster that we experienced on our first trip.

Nope. We revisited HDM in March of 2023, and while some small things were different, our memories had not failed us and this resort is just as much of a utopia as it ever was. Still beautiful and well kept, great-as-ever food, and kind, welcoming staff. On our most recent trip we had an issue with a water leak in our room on the first night, and the staff helped us to get a new room quickly and painlessly.

Needless to say, we can't wait to go back in another five years, and hope it still is as great as the first two trips.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Hacienda Del Mar Los Cabo’s! The beachfront room was very cute and I loved the old Spanish decor. The hotel was very clean and well kept. The pools were amazing! The taco lunch place had the best tacos I’ve ever had! The service was A+. Really didn’t have any complaints. Would definitely go back again.

The best of Cabo right at HDM. Just far enough for peace and tranquil mornings, days and evenings but located in a mid-point between San Lucas & San Jose. Excellent services. All of the staff are professional, courteous & accommodating. The flora, fauna & decor are timeless. You feel like you are in your own little paradise. My home away from home. It’s our third time visiting & it most definitely won’t be our last time.

Love everything about this place! Excellent service. Friendly staff. Renovated room. Comfortable bed and nice linens. Oceanfront. Heated pools. Comfy beach chairs and plenty of umbrellas.
I will for sure return in the future!

The Hacienda Del Mar is an amazing place to stay. The service and experience is hard to beat and a pleasure to be a part of.
More importantly, Damian, a man who works there and has worn a few hats in his time, is truly what makes the Hacienda Del Mar a special place. Some people you come across in life have an everlasting memory and effect on you, Damian is that guy. I have never met such a genuinely kind, helpful, and selfless man. I looked forward to talking with him by the pool everyday, my family as well, and we certainly cannot wait to see him again sometime soon when we come back. If you can relay this to Damian I’d greatly appreciate it!

Very nice place. They do a great job taking care of you. Transportation, beach towels, drinks, security, set up excursions etc. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. Very clean resort with plenty of staff. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Nice sized gym with view of the pool. I’ve been all over the world and I have to say this staff is excellent. Thanks for a great vacation!
