Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas

Absolute best vacation ever, thanks to everything amazing at the Grand Solmar! You can't beat the location at the end of the Baja Peninsula, better than anything else in Cabo and beyond. Delicious food with the freshest lettuce and produce on the planet served with five-star presentations. The best part was the friendly staff who felt more like friends by the end. Special shout-outs to Brenda, Eli & Rosa at the massage spa, servers Cristal & Vanessa and the hostess at La Roca, the cabana crew led by Juan with Adan & Abraham, restaurant crew Alejandro & Elizabeth and everyone else at this beautiful resort. Amazing!

Best escape vacation. Never rested so well with sound on waves on beach. Never ending Whale watching during migration. Can't swim in the ocean due to currents but relaxing on the beach with a picnic basket was awesome. The staff was wonderful, friendly and courtesy.

Second trip here. Beautiful accommodations and wonderful dining. This resort is away from the city, which is either good or bad, depending on what you expect from a trip to Cabo. Free shuttle service is available, but while you are here, it’s all about poolside day drinking. Staff is terrific.

Our Cabo vacation was awesome! Rita, Jorge, Diego, Esmeralda, Kenia and Itzel made our stay at Pacific Dunes great. The activities were very fun, they have blackjack, ping pong, water aerobics, bingo, volleyball, Mexican lottery, Spanish lessons. The resort also has 2 water slides and a rope swing. We will definitely be back again!!

So much different than Lands End! So relaxed, laid back atmosphere. No grabbing chairs in the morning - relax to a great breakfast at Anita, then just go out and pick your chairs. Ramone is one of the BEST waitors ever. Very attentive, always smiling, always bringing us little extras. Love it.

Amazing place to stay with world class views, world class beachfront and world class food. Close to the harbor and in town activities. Sister resort to the north has PGA quality golfing included. Trip of a lifetime.

Great vacation and fantastic location!
We were in Cabo San Lucas for the first time last Christmas and we were not disappointed. We were looking for a quieter hotel, not in downtown. Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas is a perfect location for relaxing family vacation. If you want to go and party in downtown there is a complimentary shuttle that will take you to an affiliate property.
We loved our suite with fully equipped kitchen and big fridge. We opted for an all-inclusive meal plan and it was so convenient: we ordered a la cart in the coffee shop or in Anica restaurant (overlooking the ocean) and at Bacari restaurant where they had great theme nights. All food was fresh, although there could be more vegetarian or poultry options. We were never hungry, the staff was attentive, courteous and friendly.
If you look to party with crowds and loud music, look elsewhere. Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas is for guests who want to relax and enjoy the pools, restaurants and the beach, away from noise and stress. The property is very big, so wear comfortable shoes, and if you are too tired, you can catch a ride on a golf cart :)
We loved the slides, our baby enjoyed the kiddie pool, we could always grab chairs right by the water. It was a perfect vacation to recharge and enjoy everything Baja California has to offer: Sun, beach, food and friendly service.
P.S. We refused a timeshare presentation and nobody harassed us aggressively, they respected our choice.

This was one of the best vacation experiences we have ever had. First time in Cabo and we were absolutely spoiled at this resort and will be back. Our two bedroom villa was top notch and cleaned everyday by a wonderful maid Yanet. Every person employed at the resort was better than the last. They were patient with my broken Spanish even though they all spoke English very well. Activities at the pool were often led by an energetic, fun young woman named Nirvana. Her personality was infectious and her energy seemed perpetual. We only ate some lunch and one dinner but the food was very excellent as well. Don't miss an opportunity to stay here. The best.

This is a beautiful resort. We had an incident but the General Manager promptly and respectfully worked with us to resolve it.

This is an amazing resort with views that are breathtaking. Great for all ages. The deli is an affordable option for the budget conscious people out there. Although the on site rests are great. The activities in the pool with mariam and the rest of the team take the fun up a notch. Be sure to get in on some volleyball at 2:15 ;).

Only things I would change. Are to offer the shuttle service available to carry luggage on the big bus as an option for ones who want to grocery shop. Or those who don’t necessarily want to spend the money on a private taxi service.

Overall would definitely recommend this place. And I hope everyone’s time is as resetting as my own

The people , the property, and the experience! I too was nervous about this hotel. We typically stay in the San Jose Del Cabo for an older crowd at the JW Marriott. I would say from the moment we got to the ground it was a great experience. First, Alejandro at the front desk noticed that I paid for 4 adults for the all inclusive package when it was really supposed to be 2 adults and 2 children. He jumped through a couple of hoops but made the adjustment which saved me over $500.

We then found our way to our Ocean Front room, where it was much larger than a typical hotel room (1200 sq ft). Our children had their own murphy bed in the family room area, that could be tucked away when not using. If traveling with kids this is a fantastic room, as gives the bedroom privacy.

The grounds were fantastic. The rope swing and waterslides for kids is fantastic. They also do a wonderful job of creating activities. Nirvana at the pool is wonderful. They had a water balloon fight one day and then volleyball everyday. She made the experience even better with her engaging personality!

Jym by the pool provided great service to use day after day. The food was actually much better than I was expecting. I would say breakfast was our favorite part of the day for meals....Adrian and Miriam helped us in Anica -They both were so nice and personable. I highly recommend their section. Monday night was Sushi night by the pool, I recommend the burgers on Tuesday night instead of the buffet up top. The guys making the burgers were so nice and they were amazing. Anica has great food offerings throughout the week.

Lastly, the person who made this trip the greatest experience was Daniel. Daniel is the supervisor by the pool. Guy is top notch and he should be running large resorts in Mexico. He knows how to meet customer expectations. He went above and beyond every time he saw us. I can not say enough about Daniel!

I highly recommend this Resort!!

Sold us 1st visit, we bought into a property that wasn't even built yet, 🙂 They were trying to explain they can only offer the best deal to 1st time visitors & only offer you to buy again in 5yrs, without the good deal... We went on a day that most people don't so, was no real rush on our end... they explained in 2-5yrs there will be a 2 1/2hour lazy river of sunburning to float down. The place is very modern.

This resort was amazing. We loved the property and staff was always friendly. First time in Cabo and wasn't disappointed. The property is quiet and family oriented. If you are looking for that type of vacation I would highly suggest. Beautiful pools, good food and fun activities. There is a shuttle that takes you to sister properties

We golfed at Solmar for my husbands fortieth. We had a fantastic time! The rental clubs were a little rough but the carts and course were in excellent shape. Also five-star service at the little bars and from the pro shop staff who had to bring us a few more balls on the 14th hole. Would definitely go back!

We stayed at Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas for our honeymoon and had the best time! I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and service. We were treated like royalty from the minute we stepped into the resort. The restaurants are five star with first class service and we always came back to a clean and tidy room. Shoutout to Nelson, Kenya and Dorian at Bacadi for making our dinner dates extra special. We will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun getaway!

The resort was beautiful. Jose at the front was very attentive to making sure we had our luggage taken to our suite and making sure we were aware of places to go. He made us feel very welcomed.

The resort is about 35 mins from the Marina. They do offer a shuttle to their sister property, however, once there you need to take a taxi or walk. Check out renting a car. That maybe more cost effective. A round-trip taxi ride from the resort to the Marina can easily cost $80 or more depending on the time.

Resort is gorgeous, service is fantastic, and the food is delicious!

I had a great time celebrating my birthday at this beautiful resort. This place is well maintained, clean and the beautiful scent they use smells so good. Rancho is peaceful and a relaxing resort. The property is quite a ways off the main highway so you won't have any road noise. Upon arrival, my family were welcome by ALL THE STAFF that are very friendly, helpful and attentive. The Bell Boy Crews and Front desk staffs (Alejandro) are very professional and accomodating. All the food servers & bartenders in every pool esp at the Aqua Bar & Grill are top notch service. Amazing maintenance staffs who kept the place clean around the resort and making sure there are always clean pool towels around the clock. Special mention to all the entertainment crews, SABRINA, MARIAM, DANIEL, ESMERALDA, NIRVANA, RANSELL, HUMBERTO & DJ ULISES for keeping us busy throughout our stay with there scheduled enterntainment activities. They made sure everyones invited to join the fun. I did join and enjoyed the Limbo competition and won a BIG bottle of tequila. My kids played the bingo and won a prize, free smoothie. My spouse loves the 2:00pm poker. We had a blasts at many selection of infinity pools, saltwater lagoon with paddleboarding and a waterslides for the kids. The gym & work out equipments are great to have at the resort. The luxurious room we stayed were clean and spacious. The beddings are soft and comfy. Its so nice to have housekeeping available everyday. Aide did a great job keeping our room clean and always ready. I recommend Anica restaurant and Picaro Restaurant for any ocassion. The food and service were excellent. The Bell boys are always ready to help and offers ride with the golf carts if needed and they do provide a shuttle service every hour which makes trips into town. Lastly, catching the sunset and or whale watching at Sunset Pool is a must. Overall, we had a great vacation in Rancho and I am proud owner. We are looking forward to many more stays here.

We were so fortunate to find this property on a recent vacation in Cabo and we are looking forward to many more stays here. This resort is quite secluded, however they do provide a shuttle service every hour which makes trips into town convenient and affordable. The grounds are impeccable and rooms are very luxurious. There are amazing views of the Pacific in all its vast grandeur and we viewed several whale spouts, breeches and surfacing during the afternoon. Their golf course is world-class as well as their restaurants. We were treated like a close family and truly enjoyed our conversations with the staff. Professional, yet approachable. Book early as this hidden gem is going to fast become a sought after Cabo destination. They are still in the process of building and I am looking forward to enjoying all the features yet to come, especially the river! The reservation includes access to their other gorgeous properties in Cabo, which some, are a lot more beachy and social.

Stayed here for my birthday and Christmas. Unfortunately, our rooms were downgraded. Something to do with a,”Floating Week.” Very saddened when I walked my adult children into their less than stunning room. Perhaps staff assumed my children were younger as we were in a tower that housed families with young children. Which is wonderful! Except, there IS a building closer to the adults only pool. Total disconnect at booking, perhaps. My husband booked so…. Anyway. I suggest stocking your room with snacks and drinks as prices at resorts have SKYROCKETED. There are now ambiguous rules and regulations steering people in this way and that as to where and when and what they can eat and drink and at what times….. nevertheless, if intrepidly planned, this is a lovely location for a family vacation or secluded rendezvous.
