City Express by Marriott Playa Del Carmen

I have to start by saying that I was hesitant about booking into this hotel. But, go for it. Is super clean, personnel very polite, you have a kitchenette with a dishwasher. Our room was always impeccable and freshly cleaned when we came back every evening. It is not a resort but it is cleaner than one... it has a breakfast room, pool, laundry and computers in the lobby for guests. As I said, if you are expecting resort amenities you won't find them here, since we were always out, we didn't care about it. Prices are very reasonable. Last minute booking went smooth, no problems at all.

The staff are just the right amount of friendly and professional. I arrived before check in time and they happily gave me the room early. Uber eats delivers to the hotel which is what I used for my meals. It is nothing fancy but it is a clean, quiet, safe place to spend a night. The one in Cancun is nice too..great option before and after a flight because they have a free shuttle to and from the airport at the Cancun location.

I checked in after midnight running from a noisy hotel. Staff was friendly. Bed was comfortable. Room size is ok. Plenty of parking. They offer complimentary breakfast, which I think it could be better (but it can help if you are on a budget or in a hurry). A lot of carb options. I only stayed one night as I was flying out the next morning , so I did not use the pool or any other service. They have complementary computers and printing, that came in handy to check-in and read the news. Would recommend it.

Nice place, neat and comfy. Breakfast included, not the best but good enough. Coffee machine available 24/7 is the best in the hotel. The game room with the pool table is also a plus.

The overall service of the hotel personnel is fast and accurate. They can clarify any doubt quickly and you don't get any trouble while moving inside the hotel beacouse is very compact and simple. The food and the drinks where good, not amazing but enough based on the price. Nice experience having any event at this hotel.

Price and service are great. Pool is clean and relatively big. Breakfast is basic but good enough to start the day. Location is a bit off where everything else is happening. Right next to playacar. I recommend to rent a bike to make the trip to the city centre easier.

It's good for the price, with all the attractions outside the hotels I was happy to have a good clean room with a nice bed and breakfasts to start a travel day within the Riviera, it's really close to Xcaret and right in the middle of all the tourist points you want to visit.

The hotel it's amazing, the service pretty good ,sincerely I love the place and they have a lot of services such as breakfast, pool, gym and more included without paying extra and actually they have some snacks for the afternoon plus tea, coffee or water . I really recommend it for everyone. And I thank to city Express for their exceptional service.

affordable clean and well located hotel. visited Playa del Carmen with a couple of friends and rented a car. Use it as a base station for road tripping tours nearby

Clean and comfortable. Perfect if you are going to the tours all day. Breakfast is basic dont expect a lot from it.

Affordable rate and brand-new facilities at a convenient location (close to the airport, Centro Maya Shopping Mall and a number of nice restaurants. The kitchen in the room is a very good plus.

The room was nice and cosy, clean and had space, recommendation about suites side not sure about the other side of the hotel!

Well equipped room. A bit away from PDC downtown though so walking is not an option but can easily take a cab.
