HM Playa del carmen

Overall enjoyed the stay, very relaxing location in the Playa area. The shower was the best in a very long time that I’ve enjoyed on a vacation!!! Can walk to most things. Staff very helpful. Rooms were clean and on the simple but comfortable side. Elevator was very efficient if you have mobility concerns. Had 2 main concerns, and one not so main concern:

1. If you are plant based, it may be best not to have breakfast included in your trip cost. There's plant based or plant based like restaurants in the area where you can eat (for less).
2. The sun lounger situation-- guests were holding sun beds with their towels for hours, and not using the areas. Other guests could have been using them during these times. It would have been nice for them to be on a first come first serve basis.

Not so main concern: some type of engagement activity by the pool/bar area.

Great, friendly hotel. Room was functional, breakfast was excellent but the staff were so friendly. We were here by mistake, long story, but glad we ended up here.

5 stars plus! This hotel is a must stay if you find yourself in Playa del Carmen. The hotel is fabulous; with an amazing pool. There are ample sun loungers available with and without shade. The rooms are perfect. They are a great size, bright and cleaned thoroughly every day. The shower is fantastic and the beds are very comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Fabian, Roman, Raul, Andreas, Aldair and Beto were amazing. But a special shout out to Sam. Sam was exceptional; he went above and beyond for us during our stay. He is such a friendly guy and is a credit to this hotel. The breakfast was superb, with a huge variety to choose from. The food at the bar was very tasty with some fantastic food and cocktail special offers. The location is ideal, close enough to the main area where all the restaurants and bars are but not too close that the noise affects your stay. It’s less than a 5 minute walk to the beach which is spectacular for sunrise. We enjoyed our stay here so much we came back for our last night before flying home. The second room, although slightly smaller than our original, was still perfect. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, and certainly if I’m in Playa del Carmen again I know where I’ll be staying.

Brilliant hotel in playa! It's placed directly in the city but still far away from the very touristic areas. Just 5 - 10 minutes by feed to the beach. The pool with poolbar is giant, the service amazing and cozy rooms. The only thing is that it's quite noizy.

Loved our stay here, super clean hotel, great service, the location was perfect. Our room was lovely, the service was fab, breakfast was delicious every day and the pool was brilliant. 10/10 recommend for a stay in Playa!

Pool area was kept clean and comfortable. Don't forget to grab your beach towel to use. Overall all the facilities are well kept and modern.

This hotel is excellent! It is small and cozy, yet has everything you need. Good breakfast, nice beds (rooms overall), good service and most of all: a nice location. It is close to the beach and the 5th avenue

Very Nice and comfy Hotel. It is like a quiet oasis in the loud town. Big hotel rooms with lots of space and it is clean. The pool is wonderful and You can enjoy on the sunbeds in the shade of the Big leafs from the Banana trees. Many and Special thanks to our new friend Israel from the Restaurant!! He gave us many helpful hints what to do and where to go. Very friendly super service. He even Tried to teach us spanish at the breakfast when he bring us coffe con leche ;) greetings from Ilda & Senior Dennis from Germany. Thank very much!

I’ve spent 5 nights at HM Playa del Carmen very recently and had a wonderful stay. The staff is very friendly, rooms are spacious and get cleaned daily, nice shower. There’s a pool surrounded by trees and plants where you can relax. The location is perfect to discover the city by foot, close to everything and yet you don’t have the noice from clubs and bars at night. Not to forget the very tasty breakfast with a variety of choices to start the day. I highly recommend this place!

This is our first time visit at Playa del Carmen and we pick the best hotel in town.

HM hotel located just few blocks away from 5th avenue- the main tourist area. Surrounded by lots of restaurants and shops, it’s really convenient for tourist to access to everything. Its location is slightly away from the Main Street so that it didn’t affect by the noisy music and crowds. Besides, there are Mega store - a big supermarket nearby. It’s very convenient for us.

We stay here for 6 days. Our package is included breakfast buffet everyday. There are many choices for buffet. Including egg station, bread, salad,fruit and cereals. And they change some of the food item each day. Severs are super nice and attentive. Especially Israel, he took care of us very nicely everyday.

The pool is big enough to swim around. There are bar pool too. It’s pretty chill vibes here.

Overall, it’s a really pleasant experience. Room are super clean and the A/C is superb. Thank you team gave us a great memory in Playa!

P.S. It’s nothing compared with those big all-inclusive hotel. But it’s a nice and clean hotel for around $100 USD per night choices.

This is the ONLY hotel I have ever been to where the photos actually match the picture. It's scary clean. The restrooms almost have no faults, the area is clean, and the rooms are gorgeous. The hotel has free parking and the front desk are one of the most nicest people ever- thanks Ricardo. I personally didn't try the breakfast or drinks. The area is only 5 minutes from the beach and the main strip.

Everything is great - All rooms have AC and Fan, showers are nice hot pressure, very clean and relaxing. Pool is amazing and Bar has the best drinks. Also big shout-out to Armando at the front desk he will help you out with everything from checking in, booking tickets to popular places and Amusement parks, getting taxi, and so much more, his service is TOP and unbeatable.

This is a wonderful and reasonably priced lodging right in the heart of downtown PDC. The location could not have been better. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The shower head alone is almost worth the cost of the room! The food offerings were outstanding. By far the best complimentary breakfast we've ever experienced! Our only complaint was the street noise, so when we stay here again, we will ask for a room off the street. Otherwise, la experiencia mayoría bien!

Great place to stay. Clean rooms, good amenities, and service. Close to 5th Avenue without the noise that comes with it.

Wonderful place to stay right in the heart of Playa de Carmen everything is at walking distance. The people here are friendly and great. We stay here for a week and everyone made it a wonderful. Thank you.

This is an amazing gem in the heart of Playa! First off the staff were amazing especially the breakfast crew. Every morning warm smiles and of course delicous food. The pool bar staff equally warm, accommodating and lovely. We had a room with no view and it was still enjoyable right by the pool so super quiet and easy access. The bathroom shower had great water pressure and Wifii available in the room and by the pool bar, I had to work for a day and no problems what so ever. Always fresh towels available for the pool and the beds were comfy, you do sometimes need to hustle after breakfast to grab a bed but something always works out with people coming and going. Check out all the amazing cute places on 10th to eat and just a 10 min walk to the beach. The hotel was super clean, colourful and most importantly welcoming. I can not speak highly enough!

Very nice and affordable place.
The room was spacious, and pristine. The staff is kind, and friendly. You can have a champagne free of charge if you stay over 3 nights. Besides the places has access to everything in downtown Playa del Carmen. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, I will recommend this place.

Great! Awesome and clean hotel staff (especially the reception personal) was very kind and helpful. The pool and pool bar was great. And the breakfast was delicious. I would recommend this hotel!

Absolutely loved this hotel! The staff was excellent and extremely helpful (in English and Spanish). The front desk was happy to help with recommendations, the bar staff provided excellent service and made great drinks, and Cesar arranged some excellent tours for us (at a discount to prices online).

The hotel and rooms are minimalist modern with lovely wooden touches. There is AC and the bathrooms were very nice (with shampoo, soap and conditioner).

The hotel also has a decent gym and nice pool. There's lots of space to enjoy, including swings. The pool is nice and has a shallower side. There are towels available and there are drinks/food available, both of which are good quality and fair prices.

The happy hour is an excellent deal!

Breakfast was nice. Yogurt, fruit, cereal, bread/pastry assortment, pancakes, cheese, meat, some hot dishes (changes) and eggs.

Location wise, you are two minutes walk from Quinta Avenida (5th Ave. Main walking Street). About 5 to 7 minutes from the beach although it's a bit further to a more open beach either west or east. There's an oxxo across the street and lots of great restaurants within a 5 or 10 minute walk. There's parking on site here as well.

You're not getting beach views but the interior pool/garden is lovely and the location is awesome otherwise.

Excellent customer service very friendly. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Safe parking! Two small blocks from the main strip. A few blocks to the beach. (water shoes recommended for parts for the beach.) Complimentary breakfast was very good! Try the tacos at the pool bar along with a lemon daiquiri (buy one get one of the same drinks free during happy hour 3pm-7pm.
