Hilton Playa del Carmen, an All-Inclusive Resort

We absolutely loved the Hilton in Playa del Carmen. The staff was tremendous. The location, just seconds away from 5th Avenue is unbelievable. The room was beyond our expectation as it was so large and bright. We visited 4 of the restaurants and they were all great. I was curious and had low expectations for the nightly entertainment but holy crap was I wrong. The night of the acrobats was a Vegas type show and very professional, it was as if we were watching America’s Got Talent. Just a great vacation and we will go back!!

The Hilton is outstanding resort with unbelievable views, friendliest staff, very neat and tidy. The food choices were amazing, so many healthy options to choose from. The resort events and shows were top notch. The entertainment team of Marilyn, Fernando, Esteban, Celeste, Roberto, and Ulises were so fantastic. Their energy and excitement they showed each and every day was remarkable. We enjoyed working out with them and partying pool side with them and all the games and fun things they had going on. There was never a dull moment at the Hilton, we definitely will be back.

Been to the Cancun area many times and this was one of our best trips. The food was exceptional for an all inclusive. Service, layout and amenities were great. Loved the entertainment; opening band at 7:30 every night, followed by a show, then more music till 11. My only con was they stop serving drinks at 11 and the whole place pretty much shuts down. However we preferred the Playa Del Carmen nightlife at the heart of the hotel; live music, clubs, dancing, bars, shopping and general fun walking around.

Overall, I had a great vacation at the Hilton PDC. The rooms were awesome, I was disappointed that my room didn't have a hammock, and they ended up giving us a corner suite. I felt the concierge went above and beyond to ensure a nice stay. The corner suite was huge and was probably one of the nicest rooms I ever had. I found the service throughout the resort to be consistently attentive and friendly, paying extra attention to the optimal enjoyment of all guests. The location of this resort is perfect because it's downtown Playa Del Carmen and close to the ferry terminal. I typically find all inclusive resorts to be average at best, but this place really made a memorable impression. I look forward to my next visit!

Great resort in a great location! This was our first all inclusive stay and beforehand I wasn’t sure if I’d like it but now I’m sold on it. Location couldn’t have been better as you’re right in the heart of Playa which I think would be much better than the dozens of resorts you pass on the highway there. When we were there the beach was great, but seems to depend on time of year. Room was very nice, we had a garden view which we liked as it was a bit quieter and had an ocean view (near the beach end of building). Found the food too be better than expected. Even the room service was mostly good. Gazebos in the beach always available, we preferred that to pool which you have to pay for. Asiana was the standout restaurant but we enjoyed all.

This hotel is a 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ … all the staff did an amazing job, always serving us with a beautiful smile and great hospitality. LENIN was our server at the Spice restaurant and he did a fantastic job in having our table ready for our large group, hot coffee and even a surprise cake for our birthday 🥳
The SPA is a must, as a trained massage therapist the entire experience the staff takes you through (dry and wet sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, aromatherapy) prior to the massage makes your body extremely relaxed. Gilda and Rosa, our therapists, had great pressure and careful touch during our couples massage.
The entertainment team over the pool during the day and the team that took over the shows at night were so much fun!
Another cool thing was the 24hr room service, they are fast and have great food. They have a small door in which they deliver/pick up your food from each room.
I would definitely come back here again ✨

This place is truly paradise! Beautiful beach and amazing outdoor areas really allow you to experience the gorgeous Mexican weather. Top notch service, super clean facilities, all-inclusive amenities were an ideal combination of value and quality. Nightly entertainment is excellent. Pool areas are fun and vibrant. Really like the fact that it is an adult-only resort. Rooms are clean, spacious and very modern. The staff is amazing, particularly the entertainment staff. This place is worth the trip, highly impressed in every way possible.

The entire stay was absolutely 5 stars. Everything was very clean, the service was impeccable, and food/drinks were great. I never had to wait at all for a drink or meal, it was all so convenient and very well run. The location from 5th avenue make leaving the resort very easy/safe/and fun when desired. All the other guests were very friendly and also raved about how much they loved it while there. I will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed our stay. The All-Adult aspect was really nice. We booked extra excursions right from the lobby. The Asian and Mexican restaurants were really good. The buffets were just ok. Chef’s Plate costs extra and was good, but not spectacular. I’d skip booking the transportation to and from the airport through the resort beforehand. It was $50 more each way than just getting a cab. All in all, had a wonderful experience.

Very nice all inclusive. Swim up, ocean side is well worth the added expense. Be sure to reserve your cabana’s the minute you arrive! The restaurants have different operating times, so take note. There is also 24 room service! And don’t miss the silent disco party. Awesome!

This place is crazy in a good way. The location is smack dab in the middle of the shopping mecca of Playa De Carmen. There are tons of restaurants and shops, even a mall with an American eagle inside. The hotel is large with very narrow passages. The beach and pool areas are small for the amount of people. I highly recommend renting a cabana bed. Food and service are excellent. It's very much a hoppin place. Tons of activities and shows at night.

Everything was great! The food, the resort and the service.

We were in a presidential suite and had Adriano as our butler. He went above and beyond every single day, his goal was to make us feel like royalty and really have a relaxing vacation. We heard from other suites that their butlers weren’t getting back to them or were no where to be found but Adriano was so on top of it and so responsive every single day. He was very organized with everything he did and just tried to make this the best experience we could have had.

I will be sending my parents to this resort and booking them into a presidential room for their anniversary just because of Adriano know how well they will be taken care of.

The food was excellent, the only thing I do wish is that the room service menu changed or there were more options for us to chose from as there are so many great restaurants on the resort.

Lastly, Andrea who was serving food and drinks at the main pool where our cabanas was such a sweet heart and always had a smile on her face.

Overall of course the resort was beautiful and the food was great but the service from the staff really set this place apart.

What an absolutely beautiful resort. This was our first time staying at an all inclusive resort, and we loved it! From the moment you step foot on the property the staff seem to genuinely appreciate that you have decided to spend your time there, and genuinely want you to have a great time. Juan was very helpful checking us in and providing us with helpful information.
Everyone there is so friendly and polite, we made lots of friends with the staff... great people. The only thing I did not care for was the rocks in the ocean, but just a short walk to the left and it was nice and sandy. Overall, it was a great experience

Beautiful resort, adult only. Everything was very well maintained and clean. Beach area is rocky but clear area is off to the side. Many pools, some with daily festivities and has a separate Quiet pool. Wait staff very attentive and accommodating. No language barriers. Several restaurants, all different and all delicious foods. It is all inclusive, but tipping is VERY much appreciated and deserved.

Fantastic hotel! All-inclusive is great and is really all that you need. Includes a good liquor selection and the food is excellent. We also paid an additional amount for dinner at the Chef's plate one night and it was worth it but definitely not necessary. We stayed in 2 different junior suites during our time at the hotel (one beach front walk out and one with swim up pool). The rooms are nearly identical so it really depends on your preference. I would note that our particular room was not directly on the beach so the "walk out" was a little misleading. Instead it is on a grassy area VERY close to beach entrance but view of ocean is blocked by greenery. I would say the beach front with swim up suites (if you can get that ) looked incredible and is probably the way to go. A few notes:
- the main pool area is very loud with cheesy (in my opinion) entertainment (foam parties, dance contests, etc). There is a more quiet pool area in the back of the hotel but it doesn't get as much sun
- Beach was great - huge beach area, great service, and no seaweed (in November)
- All of the bars/alcohol service close at 11pm which is a little early but just know that and plan ahead
- Location is super close to attractions of 5th Avenue - felt safe and very convenient if you are looking for a change of scenery
- Service across the board was excellent!

Will definitely stay here again - can't wait to get back.

Absolutely perfect destination for a vacation. The resort was very beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The entertainment and facilities are wonderful as well as all of the staff. Food was all very good, particularly Kalamata and Asiana.

There are some staff members that really made it a great time I would like to mention: Juan, Job, Celeste, Ulysses, and Jose made the activities very fun. At Asiana Ernesto was exceptional.

The hotel is very nice. The entire staff was very nice. Miguel in the spice restaurant was on top of everything. He even remembered our names and greeted us with a smile every morning. The pool area was a little disappointing. It's a nice pool but if you didn't rent a cabana or get out there when the sun came up to get a lounge chair you had no where to sit. They played loud music the entire day so if you're trying to relax you were just out of luck. The pool side bar staff was great. They were on top of bringing you drinks and you didn't have to wait long. The beach are was relaxing and you had no problem finding a chair but it was public beaches so although the resort is adults only you still had kids on the beach.

TLDR; This adults-only all inclusive resort is well worth the money. Food and drinks are very good, every single staff member is courteous, and the pools and ocean views/amenities are amazing.

Full Review: All I can really say is WOW. What an incredible experience I had at this resort. A few shout-outs: Hector, who greeted us as we first arrived, and Esther, our lovely housekeeper who kept our room tidy during our stay. Additionally and of course, all the bartenders, restaurant workers, and groundskeeper and create such a lovely atmosphere. Because my SO travels for work we were able to take advantage of the Diamond perks for Hilton Honors members and that definitely contributed to our experience. The oceanfront cabanas are a must, and the discount at Chef’s Plate definitely paid off as that meal (an extra charge) was phenomenal. The food at all the restaurants is very good and the drinks are solid at every bar. Premium liquors like Grey Goose, Tito’s etc are extra but the included ones are perfectly fine imo. We came in with the expectation that spots at the pool or by the ocean would fill up fast and it was a good idea to get there early to stake a claim, but we quickly found that was not necessary. The events they host throughout the day (and night!) are so fun and entertaining also. Overall, I would highly, highly recommend this resort for your next all-inclusive vacation!

Good food smaller portions but adequate. Very clean. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great rooms with excellent views. Entertainment was much better than most resorts. Highly recommended.

From the moment we arrived every single hotel member was courteous, professional, personable & respectful. The property was immaculate! Clean, beautiful and so many options for dining or snacking. The room itself was very large and clean. We had a pool view and it was gorgeous. I wish to applaud every Hilton team member we came across, and also those behind the scenes. Every single person took pride in their work and you could see it. Our experience was phenomenal & we would definitely come back again.
