Freedom Resort Talalla

Nice little resort at the top of the hill with great view on the beach. Food is amazing and always fresh. Owners are also very kind and welcoming. Never stayed here, so can't make any comments about the rooms but the outside and surrounding is really calm and nice. Watch out for the monkeys.

Our favorite hotel on the Sri Lankan coast! We loved the atmosphere and beautiful views from the top deck of the small restaurant. The beach just below the hotel is one of the best in Sri Lanka and the most important advantage is that it's off the main road! So no traffic noise at all... :) Lovely hosts and staff, delicious food and very very (!) good value for money. We couldn't think of a better place if you are looking for a nice mid-range class hotel. The rooms are not too luxurious but clean and spacious and again: the value for money is awesome!

One of the best resorts with a beach view. It was so comforting and peaceful all day and night thanks to the sound of the waves hitting the shore. The weather was colder during the mornings, beautiful view. The sea felt like a private beach as there were not many people out there. Very lovely owners and their services were great. Breakfast was delicious too and they were authentic Sri Lankan meals. Everything was perfect except for going up the hill to locate the resort, it was quite a complicated way to go up there, gotta have some patience to do that 😅 but, perfect is all I can say and a best place if you need a break from work.

We very much appreciated the stay over christmas/ new year in the Freedom Resort. In fact we liked it so much that we stayed one more week (total 2.5 weeks). The owner Chris and his team were very friendly and helpful, even when having special requests like fresh fish from the market or dinner set up down at the beach. Breakfast and supper were very tasty! This accommodation is simple, a very good price for value.

Lovely place we stayed at for over two weeks. The sea 🌊 and 🏝 beach view from breakfast were stunning 🤩. Food was delicious and Chris and the whole team were very friendly and very responsive to any requests.

A bit secluded and not the easiest to find, but it had the best view at the top of a private part of the beach. Very good breakfast as well.
Had to stay an extra night here because of external factors, but didn't mind it one second. It really feels like a private beach resort.

Beautiful view to the beach from restaurant, rooms are basic, but the family room we had was very spacious, comfy bed with mosquito net, lots of wild life around, friendly staff. Perfect place for relaxing for a while if you don't require too much comfort.

Ate at this restaurant almost every day we were in Tallala. Vegtable rotti and the pumpkin salad were our favorites. Shan and Naila, the two servers, do a great job and will make you feel at home.

Neila the daughter was so nice to us and opened the restaurant although we were alone and the only customers. The view is awesome and the rooms very nice.

Incredibly delicious Sri Lankan Crab Curry. Must try in Talalla! And the view down the entire beach is beautiful. Very special spot !
