Subhasha Summer Cottage

Lovely place to stay in Talalla. Hosts are extremely nice and helpful with any queries/issues. Gardens are beautifully kept and a nice place to be able to sit outside. Great attention to detail with fresh flowers placed in laundry and around rooms after they have been cleaned. Also beers provided in the fridge is a great touch.

Fantastic experience
The owner Isuru couldn't be a better host. The accommodation is immaculate and the food is outstanding, the rice and curry (cooked by Isuru's mother) was delicious Sri Lankan home cooking. There were cold drinks waiting for us too.
Isuru was always on hand and with great communication skills. He helped us with any queries, transport and a day trip out.
Thank you so much, we hope to come again.

Very clean with beautifully kept gardens. Host is always close by if any help needed. We stayed for over a month and were regularly provided with fresh towels and linen. Would highly recommend.

Very nice place with all that you need and more... You can see in the garden monkeys and fruit bats eating fruit from the trees. You also have a large beach at five minutes walk... All of these good things with the help and support of Isuru and his wife (perfect chef):D

This has been a long overdue review
I visited this place back in April, during one of the driest and hottest summers. Terrible decision really.
The only good time me and my family had here was spent in this place which was an absolute haven ! The host was really nice ,and very supportive ,tending to our every need, even when it was not very convenient for him.
The cottage has a small, yet good enough kitchen, with all the amenities needed for preparing meals. The location is surrounded with lush greenery,and local fruits. The bathrooms and rooms were really clean. They were spacious and well air conditioned as well.
The prices are very,very reasonable as well. The host will prepare meals if needed, but we cooked ourselved, so I couldn't tell you anything about food.
There is a beautiful beach with a lot of restaurants which you could use for meals within a short walk.
Whenever we visit Tangalle again, this would be our go to place.!

Spotlessly clean, beautiful villa, set in lovely gardens, fabulous home cooked breakfast and family were really lovely. Would definitely be happy to book this accommodation again

This place was fantastic! With a beautiful garden, super comfortable rooms and just a few minutes away from the beach it was ideal for our holiday. The family hosted was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was so good! An excellent place for a beach getaway.

Our stay with our two teenage boys was fantastic.The garden and on site facilities were superb.Subhasha cottage was spacious, had everything we needed, and it was very comfortable place to stay.We come back sure.Thank you Isuru.

We had a great time staying here. What we didn't realize beforehand is that there are two rooms with large beds, so this is great for a family as well as solo travelers or couples. As others have said, having the kitchen was a nice plus. Overall, there was a lot of space and Isuru was a very kind and generous host. We especially liked how clean and newly done the bathroom was. The food provided everyday was great and he was always there to answer any questions and help us. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fabulous stay. Our host Isuru was so helpful. Excellent location. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Short walk to the beach. Everything was just perfect. We could have stayed here for the whole time we were in Sri Lanka. Really sad to leave.

A wonderful place to stay. Clean and tastefully decorated 2 bedrooms, kitchen and a livingroom in the middle of a garden. Short walk to a great beach. The host Isuru is great and makes sure there is everything you need while respecting your privacy. The home cooked meals from his mother are the best! We will be back for sure!

A wonderful place to stay - we loved the heritage style house and the decor was beautiful. The best bathroom! Great hospitality and delicious breakfast and dinner - served with smiles. I can certainly recommend a stay here.

This was one of the best accomodation we had in Sri Lanka! The house is very clean and cozy and it has brand new air conditioning. Also the kitchen is equipped with all you need, the garden is very beautiful and quiet we really enjoyed staying at Subhasha
The owner is very kind and helpful. They also offer meals if requested and laundry service! Perfect stay!
