Visited here based on previous google map reviews and surprised it doesn’t have more ratings.
The quality of the food here is really amazing- we had a bean bowl, Sri Lankan curry with chicken and the avocado and passion fruit smoothie.
It tasted so fresh and delicious we will definitely be coming back for the rest of our stay.
We walked here along the beach and turned in through a side road - worth the trip

I went for a late post-surf breakfast and had the cheese roti and iced cinnamon and coconut juice. It was exactly what I needed, super tasty and filling. Would definitely recommend. The rest of the menu looks good, with a lot of choice.

Absolutely beautiful spot just off the beach. This is possibly the best veg curry I’ve had in Sri Lanka so far - the dhal was soooo gooood!! Wish I was staying in Talalla longer so I could eat this curry all day every day ❤❤❤

It was a beautiful and peaceful place. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, they had made a bonfire when we came and our table was on the beach!

The food was amazing, and you could tell that they had put their hearts into it!

Delicious, fresh, vegan friendly food. Surprised more people weren’t there - a real hidden gem and much cheaper and nicer than the food on offer at our hotel. Will be repeat customers!

Firefly is such an amazing restaurant, great food and service! We had breakfast here most mornings and the curry last night was delicious! Music there every Friday and the band last night was incredible with everyone up dancing! Thank you Madu and the rest of team firefly 🙏

Very cosy place to eat with incredible food. A little bit hidden behind wonderful greenery, you can eat real Sri Lankan food apart from just rice and curry. We had jackfruit cutlet and veggie kothura which were both really delicious and also arranged beautifully.

I stumbled across this little gem walking along Talalla Beach. Madu was so friendly he walked up to greet me and explained some things on the menu. It all looked amazing I wish I had more room in my belly!! I ordered the cinnamon ice coconut drink, the cheese roti and I tried a jackfruit fritter wow it was all so fresh and delicious! I had a lovely relaxing time chatting to Madu like a new friend while watching the waves from my table. He even gave me a lift back to my accommodation now that’s service!!

Wow, i love that new place at the beach! Just amazing location on one of the most beautiful beaches in the island. Food is also delicious and fresh. Always nice to enjoy here

This place is an absolute hidden gem. Make sure you keep walking along the beach to find it. The most tasty and creative food, be sure to try the cocunut calamari (vegan). Fresh and delicious ingredients. Super friendly owner who spent time as a chef in Paris. We’re just sorry we never made it back again. Do not miss this one!
