The drive into the park was beautiful in the snow. Free cross country skiing was enjoyable for 2 in our group. The historic Snow Festival exhibit was very interesting and we would recommend taking the time to see the display. Winter activities were going on in several areas and we wished we had more time to explore. It would be nice to return in the summer when everything is green.

Freezing with blowing winds. We got to see Dr. Clock’s history and the great view of grass and sheep. When we were out, it started to snow. Every one (kids in junior high school and older) had to pay the entry ticket when entering the parking lot. This is a scenic spot you have to go in Sapporo.

A strange place, worth a visit if you have a car. A bit strange to charge for it, but you also get access to some small associated buildings we didn't see (no time). Pretty much everyone comes for the statue and and field and view.

This park is large. You can enjoy the scenery, while visit some small museum. There is also a chapel for wedding. Other than that, there is also restaurant for “Jingisukan” (Japanese grilled mutton dish).

It provides a different views from observation deck of Mt. Moiwa. If you experience BOTH views, you will see a modern but natural, aerial and horizontal views of Sapporo.

The price of the entrance is about 550 yen for adult. Not bad to have a great hillside view of the city.

beautiful view of Sapporo city from this historic park. William Clark brought over western farming techniques in late 1800s monument of him there as well... seems to be a place for weddings as well.

Beautiful locale just outside of Fukuzumi in Sapporo that offers a wonderful view of the city and its surrounding nature. Large European style mansions make you feel like you've been spirited away, and the roaming flocks of sheep aid that feeling. Very easy to get there by bus, and while there is a small ticket fee, it's worth every penny. For more athletic minded people it's very walkable and makes for a great nature run.

This place is a very fun place especially for families. During winter you can enjoy the Kamakura (which are similar to igloos and made of snow), build snowmen, slide down the little and big snow slope (they have a tube slide at the back of the big building), skii walking and have lunch there. Keep in mind though that you cannot view the sheep during the winter as it would be too cold for them. (They can be found in a the shed close to the toilets, though). There is also a small museum (free to enter) where you can see items related to the past snow festival.
