Sapporo TV Tower

We came here at Christmas, there’s a Christmas market here, you can get a cup of mulled wine and some food, and enjoy Christmassy atmosphere then.

A landmark in Sapporo, also a good direction marker for the stranger to locate wherever you want to go. It's just between the Sapporo station and Suzukino, 20 minutes to walk for each sides. Seasonal festival in the park you should never miss.

We took the stairs bc elevator was slow; good exercise for the kiddos. Bummed that the observatory was closed but gift shop was open and free to enter. View from the gift shop was sufficient.

Got to see the winter festival from above. It was a stunning view. My wife does not like heights and so the elevator and observation deck were nearly the end of her.

10/10 will make her do it again.

It's better to check the weather, before buying the ticket, otherwise you can't enjoy the beautiful view of Odori park.
On the top there are souvenir shops.

Very lovely place. You can see all the entire city, river and hill top from the tv tower. Amazing experience.

Since we are using the tripod, we found the best spot. Try this spot when you want a best shot of the tower at night. 🌃

One of the more touristy things to do in Sapporo. Went there during summer and some food places were open right at the foot of the tower (perhaps due to the ongoing Sapporo Beer Festival at the time?). Anyhow, souvenirs were available at either the first floor lobby or even when you go up. If you want to go see the view of Odori Park at the top of the tower, you need to pay 1,000 yen for that, and also souvenir pictures are available for an additiona price.

09-12 August 2023... the weather here is really hot!! same as in Tokyo... many construction is building now I guess they trying to finish up before winter ❄ (Hokkaido High Season)

Great place to visit while in Sapporo. We were quite lucky to witness the sunset yesterday while the tower is not crowded.

If you’re planning to take the stairs to 3F for the ticketing counter, be prepared to go to the flight of stairs from 1F to 2F 😆

You can see the whole city of sapporo for 1000yen per adult. At the entrance, there are pizzas, various food stalls and beverages for you to sit and chill out. We spent 1h here in fine weather. Great!

I arrived within an hour of the tower opening. There was no line for tickets or the lift to the top of the tower. It never got crowded or congested at the top as well. Lots of great views and plenty of souvenir shopping to be had at the tower. Definitely worth a visit!

Well, nothing to say, it is one of the must go spot in Sapporo. I recommend you come on the night or snow season, more things can see. However, this tower not enough tall. Last, they have the package ticket with the clock tower, can have 100 yen discount if you buy both ticket together.

The best place to get 360 degree, unblocked view of Sapporo. 1,000yen to get up there. Right off Odori train station (exit 27).
Be sure to check the sunset timing and catch the sunset from the tower. You will also get to take photos of the city in both daylight and night. The Odori Park lights up beautifully at night.

The view of Odori park from the tower is beautiful! We went on a pretty cloudy day but it's absolutely still worth it! We could see the mountains in the distance as well as the city despite the clouds. They even had signs in the observation area that listed what buildings were what and the names of the mountains in the distance. Not only is it wonderful to see the city from above, strolling through Odori Park with the tower in the background was quite the sight. They light it up at night and it's beautiful! I'd highly recommend stopping here!

Very nice view of night time Sapporo, easy to buy tickets. Really enjoyed the souvenirs offered for sale and the signs posted on the stairs. Very fun all around experience.

No matter when you go, always a beautiful scene atop a tower's observation deck. My party wanted to go for the sunset but missed it. So we ended up going around 5PM and was at least able to catch this gorgeous view.

Entry fee is ¥1,000 (~$8USD), so not bad for something like this. So, do make a pit stop. Gift shops are inside as well - located at the bottom, as well as the observation deck.
