Definitely come here in December for the Christmas market! Really nice to experience the festive spirit especially when it’s snowing. Illuminations are plentiful as well before Christmas. There were a lot of booths selling German Christmas delicacies, as well as a lot of shops selling various decorations and other small gifts.

As now is Christmas period. The park is full of Christmas decorations. And the park was very long. You can feel the Christmas vibe here. The night I visited was also snowing, it welcome me a white Christmas. There was a Christmas market at the beginning of the park as well. Worth to visit but the foods was expensive and not freshly cooked. It's been fried for long time for the fried chicken I bought.

Odori Park is one of the most famous Park in Sapporo located in the heart of Sapporo and easily accessible by public transport. The park is a long straight line stretches from the former Sapporo Court on the west to the Sapporo TV Tower on the east.

I visited the park in late October and was amazed by the colorful leaves that had turned red, orange, and yellow. It was a relaxing place to take a walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery and sculptures. It is also a popular venue for large events, such as the soba festival that was held during my last visit.

A normal relaxing park in the middle of Sapporo, nothing to write home about but when seasonal events going on, it’s way more fun to visit! I went to Hokkaido in September so there’s Autumn fest happening.

So much variety of food stalls from casual snacks, local seafood to gourmet food, all categorized properly. You can walk for hours blocks after blocks, it’s absolute chaos, in a good way. Tons of people mostly locals and Japanese tourists from different prefectures, not many foreigners at all.

It was plenty of fun coming here with a Japanese friend who I met at work in Thailand but she happened to moved in Sapporo recently!

Most food we got were very delicious like buttery grilled Hokkaido potato, Yubari melon, soy sauce butter grilled scallops, even luxury local abalone!
Price definitely on expensive side but it’s a whole lot more convenient being able to eat local ingredients from different parts of Japan right at Odori park!

Other than that, night time vibes also quite relaxing. People just come sitting around and chill since the weather around this time in late September is perfect.

Can’t wait to come back here again, hopefully during different season!

Lovely park in the middle of bustling Sapporo. Although there were quite many people, it never felt crowded when we were there, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. There are many picture opportunities. Autumn is the perfect time to sit down, let the sun shine, and enjoy the cool breeze. Highly recommended.

Great attraction! Very cold and slippery in winter. There are a lot of lights and things to eat. Very near the subway. I would recommend buying ice spikes for shoes on the 7eleven, they are very useful!

My first time visiting the snow festival and it wasn't as crowded as i expected. But make sure to have proper shoes as i saw many tourists slipping and falling on ice.

Great park! During the winter, my love and I built a snowman, which was a fun and amazing thing to do. The tower allows you to buy a ticket and go up to see fantastic views. It's a great place to visit if you're ever in Sapporo. Definitely had a blast!

International Snow Sculpture Contest
Began in 1974 at the 25th Sapporo Snow Festival, the International Snow Sculpture Contest is an event in which teams from countries, regions, and cities from around the world compete to create snow sculptures. Snow sculptures packed full of unique international flavor are created during the Snow Festival, and it is the only event at the Odori Site where visitors can see the snow sculptures being made up close, making it a hit with everyone.

The long stretched park across several blocks of the city area, very nice snow sculptures from different parties shown during the Sapporo Snow Festival period, highly recommended to visit at least once in winter during the snow festival....very good experiences and great views, need to wear warm clothing since the weather would be very cold and frigid when snowing...wind chill factors observed!....

Central place pf Sapporo. During the Christmas season, they have a really nice Christmas market, mostly German themed. And it's also where they do the famous Sapporo Snow festival in February.

We were fortunate to visit Sapporo during the Summer Festival 2023. Major Japanese breweries set up huge beer tents and they sell food and beers, of course! Odori Park is 1.5km long and alienated into few gardens with Sapporo TV Tower in the background. These gardens are beautifully landscape and many artworks lije statues & scupltures ..so its very pleasant to walk along these parks.

We were there for the Autumn Festival. It was a rainy day so the crowd was a bit thinned out, though this also made covered seating hard to find. We would definitely have stayed longer had it dry.

Beautiful park in the city center. We have been lucky to be there during the lilac festival. The park is lined with pink, lavender, and white lilacs while flower beds of all kinds of tulips and pansies liven up the grass. There is a beautiful stone slide and various bronze statues in between lilac trees. A wide variety of trees makes the location look like an oasis.
