Visited on 1st May. The leaves are grown in on the cherry blossom trees but it's calm to walk around. Can imagine it would have been incredible during full bloom. You can hire bikes for 200 yen for two hours but the seat doesn't adjust very high if you are a tall person.

Really relaxing park for a stroll and exercise. You can rent bikes for ¥200 for 2 hrs and extend for ¥100 per hour. We watched the Fountain show which was pretty cool.

Beautiful Serene place. Going here on a snowy day is like renting the whole park! You can easily sled here all by yourself 😄

It’s a museum, if you visit this place at December, the place so beautiful, you cant play with the snow here.
But, dont come here at the afternoon/dark, because it’s so hard find the transportation to the city. We try to find taxi but it’s none.

The park features various pyramidal objects, a glass pyramid like at the Louvre, a step pyramid that reminds of pre-columbian America, a small pyramid features at the eastern wooded playground area, a square platform juts out and up triangularly above the soccer fields, a large mound is the largest structure and reminds one of steppe Kurgans or the pagan burial mounds of Scandinavia. There is much to do with the fluidity of structures of interconnected circles and straight lines, as well as the intentional use of glass, wood and stone, and how these create a particular modern ambience and become both practical and aesthetic in what is after all a public park. But you can say this park is also a fabulous work of art. And it's free, and the views are great!

Great park, designed by the famous artist Isamu Noguchi. There’s a bus (No 6) at XX:20 and XX:50 every hour. Only the XX:20 go directly into the park while the other will stop nearby and you’ll have to walk to the park.

Wide open space with minimum supervision and cameras. Free of charge. You can rent a bicycle for JPY 200 (2 hours). Bring lots of water, although there are some vending machines inside as well. Don’t miss the fountain show n

Nice minimalist park. Not a typical park where there are lots of plants and trees and here you can really the field of lines and shapes. I don’t think the fountain is operating now and good to check with tourist office as I have seen some pictures the evening fountain show is pretty impressive.

If you do not have small children, then it is better to dedicate this park after five o'clock in the evening. Keep in mind that there are a lot of foxes that come out at this time and there are more of them than people on weekdays. In the evening there are very beautiful landscapes. We love to take photo and video sessions there. I don't know why, but the sky in this park seems to be especially beautiful at sunset.

Winter Wonderland for those non-serious skiiers. It's right in the city. The small mountain is a fantastic for sledding. The glass pyramid is nice and warm during winter.

Had a wonderful time during winter sledding down the hill. Rental is available for boots and sleds, and reasonably priced. Other items such as snow shoes and skis can be rented as well. Check their website for further details

Very large park designed by famous architect Isamu Noguchi. Although the park itself is great and wonderful, however there is not much food option beside a western restaurant that is not so cheap. Highly recommend to eat before visit the place.

Great fun place to explore - even more so with pink hire bicycles (at the East gate). Inside the glass pyramid is interesting. We were there Oct 10 (2019) - autumn leaves just about starting. Give it a week and it will be really beautiful.

Beautiful landscape. A great option for a day trip out of the city of Sapporo. We got some snacks with us and rent a bicycle to get around. There is a bicycle rental post at the park. Bicycle has a lock so you can leave them with no worries if you want to go in the glass pyramid or climb up on of the hills for an observation point. (No bicycle allowed on the trails to the 2 highest observation points in the park)
Fountain was closed when we were there due to an earthquake but still it was worth the visit.

One of the most beautiful parks in the world, designed by Isamu Noguchi. The access is not very convenient but totally worth to see!
Bus only runs in every one hour, cab costs roughly 4,000 yen from city center.

Mid December 2022. Whole park is covered with snow with chilly wind. Scenery is breathtaking.
