Sapporo Station

Many coin lockers at the station. Tourist information center provides good service with many brochures.

One if the nicest and most beautiful train stations in all of Japan.

The train system here is extremely easy to use and much less crowded than central Tokyo.

There are so many delicious food options and you can also choose to walk to other parts of the city underground.

It's convenient and helps keep you warm during Sapporo's cold winter months.

Couple of good malls/department stores attached with lots of food options. Easy direct access to the long underground walkway to get into downtown Sapporo. Tons of coin lockers including the big ¥1200 ones which fit ski/snowboard bags/cases.

Sapporo station is the central hub in the city to catch the subway and Shinkansen. It’s conveniently located near Odori park and walkable. Inside the station has many shops and stores. The underground mall leads to many shops and has a lot of foot traffic.

I did not find Sapporo station to be difficult to get around. You should be cognizant of the exits so not to get confused when you exit the station.

the sapporo station rolls as connector all city of Hokkaido! as starting point here, you can design your tavel root of Hokkaido!

i also had been Sapporo station to Hokkaido trip from New chitose international Airport!

at that time i was arrived at sapporo station, i didn't know how it is big.

but,
after i passed roads for many number of subway line, entrance of Department store, so many other store and so on, i recognized the station is very huge that is i never seen before!

another impressive thing is there were so many sights things!

as all know that Japanese are very detail, anything all around are very beautiful and antique and clean, also well organized!!

Easy to get to from the New Chitose Airport. It's not that far. Look out for the rapid train. Most trains are rapid anyways. It's a quick journey, about 40 minutes.

There's a lot of restaurants and food in the area, bakeries, book stores and shops. There's even a huge Daimaru as well.

Plenty of coin lockers and ticket booths to top up your IC cards or purchase tickets to travel on the JR line. Good number of seats too if you're needing to have a rest

They had everything all train stations could be dreaming of here: from an unbelievable spacious ground to underground shopping streets and all facilities ever - coin lockers, promotional posters and designs, Ainu or natural decorations... The only thing you should be afraid of here is getting lost, since it's way too large and even linked to JR Tower. There are also no charging stations, which I desperately went finding for my dead-battery phone but there was just no use.

Good clean train station you can go anywhere in Japan from here. Many restaurants. Big departement store like Daimaru also can be found here. Hotels are many. Taxis so numerous 670 yen for first 2 km 80 yen afterward

Beautiful modern station that has easy access to the airport and other parts of Hokkaido. There is also a tourist center for when you need information.

The style of Sapporo Station reminds me of Manchukuo and Russia 🇷🇺.

JR Super Hokuto to Hakodate and bus terminal to Otaru-Shi or Toyako onsen shuttle service are all available here.

The major connection station in Hokkaido. Wait till the Shinkansen arrives in 2025.

You feel like you’re in a new planet..people are so courteous and disciplined...it’s clean and very organise .. enjoyed my stay...

Big JR Station that has few convenience store, shopping mall, and also has taxi station.

Starbucks lover will find Starbucks easily here.

It also connected to Sapporo Subway station.

We brought twin stroller. To go to Subway station, we used elevator just outside the front part of Sapporo Station.

This subway station is also connected to underground walkway that then connected to Odori station and Susukino station, as well has underground access to Tanukikoji shopping arcade and Odori Park.

One of the beautiful station I have been to. Lots happening inside and outside during the summer months.

Pretty Big Station, Lost all time in Underground Area 😅. Lots of exit gate to regain GPS signal 😂.
A few attractions (free) are within walking distance (Less than 2KM)

2022 Jan snowing - I like to Sapporo

This station is amazing! While other major stations don’t provide stroller/baby carriage rentals, JR Sapporo Station Tourist Office conveniently has one which is a life-saver for travelers with small kids. We were able to rent a comfortable stroller for our 4-year-old so she and we were able to totally enjoy our trip around Sapporo and Otaru with the stroller, even in minus 10-degree weather. Thank you for this great service that I hope other major cities (like Osaka Station) will incorporate soon. It was such a big help!
