Beautiful camp located in the rocks just few steps from the Little Petra entrance. Easily reached by car. Very quiet and safe place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I have stayed in a lovely tent with a private bathroom, it had AC / heating, fridge, hairdryer, etc, it was really comfortable. Food is delicious, I had breakfasts and dinners in the camp, I also asked for lunch boxes when I was going to Petra and that was a very good choice. In the evening you can relax in the common area which is very spacious and cozy, with multiple fireplaces, tea and shisha if you wish. Lights in the rocks create a fairy-tale atmosphere :) I really recommend this camp!

Amazing location, really very special and in such a unique location. I had the pleasure of staying there with some friends a few weeks ago.

All the staff are very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help, food was amazing. Felt so safe and secure the entire time.

Glad we took the advice of avoiding Petra at night and stayed at the camp, what an unforgettable evening. Hope to return one day and would urge anyone even half considering it to book now.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Little Petra Bedouin Camp and it truly exceeded my expectations. The staff here are incredibly attentive, making sure every guest feels welcome and comfortable throughout their stay. Their genuine hospitality adds a special touch to the experience.

The design of the camp is so beautiful, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings. It offers a true taste of traditional Bedouin culture while still providing modern amenities.

The friendly staff go out of their way to ensure your needs are met. The owner's involvement is noticeable, and their passion for the camp and its guests shines through.

Experiencing a sense of security in Jordan, even amid the nearby regional conflict, was truly comforting. This unique period offered a chance for a more intimate experience with fewer crowds and better prices, making it an opportune moment to explore the wonders of this remarkable country. I must say, I felt the safest I have ever felt compared to other countries I have visited

Moreover, I gained valuable insights into the peace treaties that the country has in place, as well as the presence of numerous American military bases.

I want to be mindful of the situation, but if you're considering a trip to Jordan, now could be a really good time to go!

One month after staying at the camp for a night, I still remember the beautiful lounge and the most delicious dinner they served us that night. They started with mezze platter and then served a rice and meat dish along with the tastiest vegetable curry that I ever had. I don't know the name though. The owner was very welcoming and he offered an upgrade to us, but I said I wanted to stay in the traditional Bedouin tent itself. But it was kind of him and the luxury tents were really clean, large and good. The hot and cold AC was working great in the room. We just needed to use it for 10 min to warm-up our tent in Feb. Book directly with camp to get a better deal. Reem is very responsive.

This was by far not only the best place we stayed in Jordan but one of the coolest places that we stayed in anywhere in the world. It is truly unique, situated in a great position close to Petra which allows you to explore the area. The service was great, the people working here are very professional, the rooms (luxury tents) are amazing, the food was some of the best we had in Jordan. It is a shame that due to the current situation on the other side of the border this place was emptier than usual, people should know that Jordan is very safe and by hesitating to come hurts their tourism, which the country relies on. Highly recommended! Do not hesitate to come here as you will feel very welcome and safe.

This place was incredible!
From the very friendly staff, to the owner of the camp who greeted us it was the best choice we could make for our visit to Petra.

Me and my friends stayed here for 2 nights, we had the rooms with private bathroom (but we did check out the public restrooms and they were impacble), the rooms were very clean, well-equiped and we even had housekeeping come in even for such a short stay. I imagined something more simple for such a remote location, but it truly exceeded my expectations with the attention to details.

The staff were always there in case we needed something and of course the entire camp was designed beautifully with nice lights during the night and a fireplace in the middle.

The sad part was that even if the place was usually filled with guests, probably making the entertainment nights more vibrant, it was not the case now due to the regional conflicts. I want to mention that I did not feel unsafe for even 1 minute during my 1-week trip to Jordan and that the camp and hotel owners really suffer due to cancellations.

Lastly, for me, as a dog lover, the best part was the weird very friendly dog trio: a husky, a golden retriever and a rotweiller :)

Beautiful and cosy camp. Offers nightly entertainment that is VASTLY superior to Petra By Night (seriously, Petra By Night is a GIANT scam, don't go there!).

The tents are a little small (inconveniently so), but otherwise great! Breakfast is great, and the service was amazing.

Very close to Little Petra, and a short drive to Petra itself.

Amazing experience, this place was wonderful. We spent 2 nights in there, and it was awesome.
First, the check-in was really smooth with the owner, who gave us some great tips about visiting the region. The room was super clean, and it exceeded my expectations.
The staff were great, nice and helpful and very attentive. You don't even need to ask to get what you want, very professional and reactive.
The food was really tasty and delicious 😋 for the price it's really worth it.
I don't want to spoil future guests, but the night animation is amaaaaaaziiiing.
The owner is a great nice guy helpful and always doing his best to keep all the gusts happy and makes the stay wonderful.
I highly recommend this place it's more than five stars 🌟 stay.

We stayed here for two nights in the traditional bedouin tent with share toilet and showers.

Everything was perfect and clean, they offered us breakfast and dinner for two days costing 44 dinar per person and was totally worth it. The variety is good and with breakfast you’re set for the whole day (besides some snacks) as you will be hiking anyway. It also saved us a lot of time.

Other than that the daily shows were fun and really created a pleasant group feeling. There is wifi in the communal areas that works perfect.

In short, definitely recommend this place!

Whoa! This place definitely exceeded our expectations. We just needed a place to stay in order to visit Petra but this camp was a whole experience in itself! We got the cave room, which was super-cool. The ambiance here was off the charts. We loved that they had a big campfire circle with comfy places to chill and smoke shisha and drink Bedouin tea. They also had a musician playing a traditional stringed instrument and singing. We arrived late and left early, so we regret that we did not get to sample the food at the camp. Mohammed, who checked us in, speaks great English and gave us helpful travel advice. We chose to rise before sunrise and do the hike to Little Petra. We were able to walk right to the camp to the trail head. You need offline maps or a guide to do the trail. It is about 14kms and takes 5-7 hours, depending on how fast you walk, how much time you spend exploring the sites along the way and weather or not you choose to chill in a cafe or restaurant along the way. The scenery (snd, of course, Petra itself) is stunning and we didn’t think the hike was too challenging. There’s a lot of stairs, but anyone who is reasonable fit should be able to do it. Might be kind of miserable on a really hot day, though. We would definitely recommend Little Petra Bedouin Camp. We just wish that we had been able to stay for two nights instead of one.

Amazing place. People there make you feel special, taking care of each detail.
The room was tent shaped, with nice lighting and had a private full bathroom with towels, shampoo and body gel. Also a water boiler to prepare coffee or tea and courtesy water bottles.

The breakfast buffet was very very good, including custom omelette and tasty coffee, but the dinner was really impressive. Maybe one of the best places I've ever eaten. After the dinner there is a circle of sofa's outside where there is live music of Bedouin instruments and songs around the fire, with tea and belly dancer. Also, they turn on hundreds of lights in the sandstone surrounding mountains and give you the chance to join singing and clapping. It was magical and all the guests ended taking part of the Bedouin song.
They also arranged for me a guide, transportation, picnic box...

You can pay with credit card.
Free WiFi but only in common areas.

Parking is free. It is between Petra and little Petra, outside the town.

We have just left this place and it is nothing short of incredible! Mohammed and the team are incredible people and it’s about a 20-30 minute walk to little Petra from the camp.
The rooms are amazing! Dinner and breakfast was a nice touch and the entertainment around the fire of a night just a perfect touch! Even helped us with day tours and trips to the airport.
Thanks so much for everything.

Nothing like this unique place in the mids of the desert. You really feel like a Bedouin in here. Endless black velvety starry sky hang on top of you while you sit and drink tea in the designated tea area. The place surrounded by the rock formation little in the night with tiny dot lights creating axtraordinary atmosphere.

The camp is incredible, and we enjoyed our host's warm welcome and invaluable advice on visiting Petra. We had an excellent breakfast and evening meal and enjoyed the ceremony around the fire with music, hookah and traditional mint tea with a magnificent view! Our host even upgraded us and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Great location for visiting Petra.

About Petra
Historical place in Jordan

Petra, originally known to its inhabitants as Raqmu or Raqēmō, is a historic and archaeological city in southern Jordan. Famous for its rock-cut architecture and water conduit system, Petra is also called the "Rose City" because of the colour of the sandstone from which it is carved; it was famously called "a rose-red city half as old as time" in a poem of 1845 by John Burgon. source
