Awesome view!😍👌
The rock formation is beautiful.
It's a must to visit this "little Petra".
Very peaceful👌.
After visiting Petra you can come here.
Walking like 20 minutes until you reached to the end, the view is even better. You can buy soda, tea and snacks once you reached the final part. You can sit and relax while enjoying the beautiful view.
Worth it, make sure to include in your bucket list if you are in Jordan🇯🇴📃.

Beautiful little valley. There's a nice viewpoint between the Petra-like valley and the hiking valley with reasonable prices for a tea and some rest.

Beautiful place close to the great Petra! 16 km of distance separates the two. free entry, total distance covered within the small petra, does not reach 1 km. inside there are several Bedouin huts selling traditional Bedouin tea. a delight! super worth the ride.

Also came up on Google maps as Little Petra. It's a must if you have 40 mins spare. Go ideally at 5.30pm as it's less busy and you get to view the sunset through rock formations. It's free to enter.

Like the name says it’s a little taste about Petra but that doesn’t mean that you don’t need to visit. Actually go there and take a bus to the monastery it’s a good choice because after that you can go to Petra for a beautiful way and views. Entrance included with Jordan Pass

‘Little Petra’ is well worth a visit. It’s fascinating and beautiful. Worth visiting before Petra itself. Easy to access for everyone but with about 50 tricky steps at the end (although that section is not essential).
Feeling brave? Walk the secret path that connects to Petra from here. It’s long and not for everyone but can be done if interested.

UNESCO World Heritage Site... absolutely a must see!

Unfortunately, there are far too many souvenir dealers left and right, represented in almost every corner, which really disturbs the archaeological view. But still highly enjoyable.

Better known as ‘Little Petra’, I was told that this place wasn’t really worth visiting if you had already visited the Petra archeological site. I completely disagree!

This place is free to enter, relatively uncrowded and, unlike the main site, you can enter the sandstone tombs/dwellings. Bedouins are selling their craftworks and souvenirs but don’t hassle you.

There are no professional guides at this site because you don’t need one. It’s small enough to see it all at leisure in 30-45 minutes. Again, I was approached by a young man at the entrance who started to talk to me about the site, but I politely told him that I didn’t need a guide and he left me alone.

Most definitely worth visiting!

I really enjoyed my hike through Little Petra. It's free, you don't need a ticket. Much less people go there, you have peace and quiet compared to big Petra. Also you can enter the caves which I liked. I followed the canyon up to the tea house but you can go much further. If the hustle in big Petra gets on your nerves you should come to Little Petra. The path in the canyon is not exposed or dangerous there are some slippery stairs where you might need your hands for support, but it's doable.

Highly highly recommend coming here before going to the main sights of Petra city. This place was soo quiet compared and was just stunning in its own right. If you have a car then plenty of parking here for you to jump out and have a wander around. You will have moments where no one else is around and you can just take in the sheer beauty of the place and silence. Highly recommend visiting here. Included as part of your Jordan pass too.

Nicer caves & more easily habitable for Nabataeans

Fantastic ancient site. Well worth the visit. Involves a lot of walking and some optional climbing. It's a geologist's dream location. I'm not a geologist, but it was a lifetime experience to visit

Incredible, but go there before going to the main Petra park, where you'll find the Treasure and the Monastery, because Little Petra is, well, smaller.
But the climb is definitely worth it, it's amazing. You won't be disappointed!

Little Petra! Many visitors skip this place, however I highly recommend as it’s beautiful and you can go to Monastery from here too! With single ticket you can visit Little Petra, Petra and Monastery!

Beautiful place to hike but if you have problem with stairs do not go as there are many stairs to go up then go down to reach it.. When you start hike there is no way to take bus and car so you have to be professional.. You will walk around 14 km to reach to little Petra.. Entrance fees is very fair if you are Jordanian or you have residency in Jordan otherwise you it is expensive.. Take water and food

Free entry- beautiful- easy to navigate. Wear hiking boots- trainers are slippery on the rocks.

About Petra
Historical place in Jordan

Petra, originally known to its inhabitants as Raqmu or Raqēmō, is a historic and archaeological city in southern Jordan. Famous for its rock-cut architecture and water conduit system, Petra is also called the "Rose City" because of the colour of the sandstone from which it is carved; it was famously called "a rose-red city half as old as time" in a poem of 1845 by John Burgon. source
