Vegan Store and Food Stall

Nice guys, good products and a lot of people. The variety is quite impressive, tasted my first vegan salmon, and it was really nice. But the staff, they are really something. Recommend to go to see them, even for a sandwich, if not for more.

Huge range of absolutely delicious food, including fresh sandwiches (very tasty mortadella and cheese on focaccia), the most AMAZING tirimisu! (certainly the best in Rome), delicious chocolate orange swiss roll, and sea cocktail salad.
Barbara is an amazing vibrant woman, very friendly, and knowledgable, yet so easy to talk to.
If only I had gone here sooner, I would have been able to try out so much more food, and got to eat that amazing tiramisu more than once.
Definitely prioritise coming here!

If you are vegetarian or vegan (or not!), or if you want to reduce your single use waste, this place is a must visit if you are in the market. Taste different types of cheeses including blue cheese, Brie, Parmesan.. and make sure you get some salami to go with it. Very tasty, lots of brands to choose from, and the best vegan arancini balls. Also things like tuna and salmon paste, many different types of meatless cuts, and you can also refill your nuts, legumes and soaps. Plus, the owners are very friendly and welcoming.

f you are in Testaccio Market, come here first, whether you are vegan or not you will find something delicious and interesting, and if you are vegan or vegetarian, you’ve just arrived in Heaven and your mother’s kitchen. There is no way to describe how special this place is. Barbara is a beautiful soul who welcomes everyone as if into her own home. She has created the most beautiful vegan oasis within a butchering market environment- it is a specially curated Aladdin’s cave of treasures- you will want to try everything! I went home fully stocked with all kinds of treats which she selected and recommended including vegan pecorino-style cheeses and sliced meats, and had some of her delicious homemade delicacies in store such as the gnocchi and frappe during Carnevale.
I’m Irish but I knew I would come back to visit this store soon- it’s one of the main reasons I’ve come back to Rome just 6 months later and the only reason I decided to stay in Testaccio!
There is no other vegan establishment in the world that is like this. All veggies must add this to their itinerary (for example you can also visit the Orange Garden, keyhole, Bocca della verità and Pyramid of Caius Cestius in the Testaccio area) and she deserves all the support possible in her angelic work.

This is a small shop that is overflowing with great specialty products at amazing prices. And beyond that, they sell handmade custom sandwiches filled with fancy vegan meats and cheeses. The staff are very friendly and the food is AMAZING!

A wonderful place with great vegan chesses, especially the one from garbanzo, and a great vegan salami, and many more great vegan products. But best of all is wonderful Barbara, who stands in courage in front of violent people that cant stand to see a change is coming, and vegan products are getting more and more popular. Grazie barbara!

This is heaven for vegans! <3 freshly cut 'meats', 1000 vegan products, some available without packaging (bring your own boxes and containers!) and extremely nice owner! If I lived in Rome, I'd be a regular customer! Bought some sandwiches for the train ride home and a massive panettone as a souvenir :) wish we had something similar back home...

This stall is stacked to the roof with an enormous variety of vegan products. Food, cooking supplies, cleaning and home care supplies, and an expansive range of vegan cheese and deli meats that can be cut to order.

Even if you’re a tourist passing through I’d recommend stopping by. The owner is great to chat with and she has such clear passion for what she’s built here. Plus, there’s so many products I’ve not seen anywhere else you’re bound to find a gift for your favourite vegan back home, even if that vegan is yourself.

Wonderful service and broad selection. I was able to get some samples of vegan cheese and deli "meat" before making my purchase. The store owner was extremely welcoming and spent a good bit of time chatting with me, recommending vegan restaurants in the area. Thanks so much!

Great place! Delicious sandwiches with deli meats and cheeses, all completely vegan!
The owner is super-friendly and very welcoming. I tasted a bunch of different meats and cheeses before choosing what would go in my sandwich; I had two and they were both great.
I recommend the spicy chickpea cheese especially.

Simply wonderful place. Fresh sandwiches and pastries available on Fridays and the rest of the week literally anything you can imagine is available in a veganized version. One woman show and she speaks English Italian and Spanish all very well. Maybe more but those are the languages I've heard personally! Highly recommended

It was amazing to have this shop so close to where we were staying. It gave us a chance to try a variety of local artisan products, such as vegan cheeses and deli meats. Barbara, who runs the place, is a lovely and friendly person. I am glad to have met her! The chickpea based parmesan cheese from Toscana was to die for. We came back multiple times to get more! I highly recommend the store ❤

Great place for a vegan in Rome! Barbara (the owner) was very welcoming and recommended us tons of delicious products like local cheese and deli, etc. The shop is not big but you'll be surprised by how much stuff you can find there. Will definitely visit again next time I'm in Rome!

I had an amazing first time experience at the Vegan Store. Ran by a mother and daughter duo, the two were very kind and helpful, as well as personable enough to chat and give me samples of their vegan cold cuts and cheeses. I would highly recommend a visit for any of your vegan food needs!

This is a great little place, with a lovely owner, who offered us lots of samples of vegan cheeses and salamis. She is so friendly and really passionate about good quality vegan food. The Torta Di Nonna (with lemon and pistachio cream filling) was delicious. We ended up buying cheese and salami which she vacuum packed for us to take home to the UK and also got some lovely soaps for presents.

The sandwiches looked amazing but we had already eaten too much at breakfast so will have to try those next time.

She also has a good range of refrigerated and store cupboard foods and other items.

We will definitely be back!

We came when they were already closing but Barbara was so nice and stayed open for us later! She was so kind to us, telling us to take our time and guiding what's best to get. She also gave us samples of different vegan cheeses that were super tasty! It was amazing to chat there with her, she's such a pleasant person, she also gave us some local tips! besides all this spot is one of, if not the only completely vegan store that I spotted all across Rome! So it's such a great oasis for those looking for quality plant based stuff! Wishing this spot many years of success for people like me, who want to find quality vegan foods in their hometowns or when travel.

If you're vegan, vegetarian or you're interested in the veg lifestyle, you can't miss this place. The owner is so kind and she gave us the chance to try different products (both vegan meat and cheese were amazing). I will definitely come back if I'll visit Rome again!

This was my favourite vegan food in the all of Rome! The sandwiches Barbara made were incredible, full of vegan meats and cheeses, tasty sauces and fresh veggies. It was also a great place to buy vegan essentials while we were travelling (vegan Parmesan, nutritional yeast etc.). Most of all Barbara is amazing. Warm and friendly, she made us something different every time we visited (which we did a lot because the food was SO GOOD!).

The perfect place to stop and grab a sandwich and chill in the markets before a day walking around Rome. 100% recommend this to all vegetarians and vegans in Rome, support a vegan run business with a lot of heart and treat yourself to an EXCELLENT sandwich. 👌🏾
