This was incredible tasting experience. The aged balsamic vinegar was the most flavorful my tastebuds have ever encountered!! Who knew that the flavors were so uniquely different? A drop of each will have you picking out your favorite. Adding to salads or to a gelato, the range will be vast. Along with the large selection of meats and cheeses and of course olives are abundant here. The staff is friendly and helpful. You’ll enjoy this family here for sure… we are hoping to enjoy their restaurant next door on another visit

What a great place for some good wine and an afternoon snack. Incredible selection of charcuterie meats. The owner and his employees are very attentive, with great conversation and hospitality.

Went with a friend to purchase "the best olive oil in Italy." Owner was very helpful explaining (in English) to my friend about the various types of olive oil and how to use and preserve their best taste. He was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Allowed tasting of a wide variety of olive oils. Excellent experience - exactly what my friend was looking for! If you're looking for an authentic place that is user-friendly, you can't go wrong here. Highly recommended. (They have a great selection of traditional meats and cheeses too.)

If you're into some gourmet charcuterie and cheese, this is where you go.
From the minute we walked in we kept getting little tastes of salami and cheese, accompanied with explanations and a smile :)

Wow! What a food boutique! Eating here at Volpetti is exciting. Tagliere, tre sugi e tre pani were out of this world, this is ‘must visit‘ place on the map of Rome.

came here to specifically to purchase balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. we were offered a tasting experience that helped us narrow our selections - the staff who helped us was very knowledgeable. great selection of wines, hams and more!

We heard about the good food in Testaccio. One of the local shops was the Salumeria Volpetti. Even if a lot of shops were closed in this area due to the holidays, Volpetti was still open for hungry visitors.
Besides the big pieces of ham, cheese and other Italian products they also have delicious daily food like Mozzarella balls, Calzone or Tarte. After the first visit we were desperate to eat there again. The guys over there were always so nice.
I ate a lot of good food in Italy/Rom, but if I ever go there again, this is the one place I cannot stay away from. Grazie Volpetti!

If you love to cook and are looking for a place to get specialty items, this is *the* place to go. We went to a few other shops around the city and no one had as great of a selection as Salumeria Volpetti. The store has a fantastic inventory of high quality products: cheeses, meats, oils, acids, pastas, preserves, and even some spices. Also, the people working there are very knowledgeable about the different products and were incredibly helpful, friendly, and patient. The prices are fair for the quality of the products. I wish I had known about their tastings earlier. The boards they were brining to seated guests looked incredible. What a great place!

I will probably regret posting about this place, but if you’re staying here for longer, this is the place to go. Try their dried pasta, prepared lasagna, ricotta cheese, prosciuttos and all else. If you are in need of a lunch on the go, grab pizza bread and a few slices of ham. This will beat most food you get elsewhere. Locals shop here on daily bases. Tourists go to heaven at every bite.

Perefect place to buy everything you want to eat back at home. I took it for my flight and they packed it perfectly.

Extraordinary place. Top notch selection of diary, pork, balsamic, olive oil etc. We sat at the shop for a variety plate and a glass of wine and were happy. Next door bar and restaurant looks great too.
