This place is an amazing historical site in Rome. It was our first stop the day we got there. Highly recommended. From my research I was told it was free on a weekday. We went on a Friday. But when we got there we were told you needed to buy tickets to get in. The line for tickets was short and, they were €10 each I believe. well worth the price.

A beautiful must-see for the architecture and history, even though it can be seen in about 15-20 minutes. There are useful signs throughout in English and Italian and ample seating. The only downside was the 25-30 minute queue to enter (on a Friday afternoon in February).

So majestic. Pantheon is a great historical symbol in the world. It has been preserved perfectly. You can see the old history when you look at it in detail. Just a little warning for you, the queue can be so crazy and long, and I couldn't see the inside because I didn't want to wait a lot.

This the best preserved ancient Roman building. You will be awed by its magnificent architecture. Especially the oculus at the top of the rotunda, which is the only channel for the sunlight to go through. It was believed a connection for the temple and the god above. So if you can, choose a sunny day to visit, see the beam change its direction following the sun’s movement.

This incredible dome is probably the second most popular place to visit in Rome other than the Colosseum. The queue to get into it is exceptionally long if you have not purchased tickets online in advance. I recommend you do, same price as buying with cash or card on the day but you will save a lot of waiting time. The audio guide costs 10 euros (2024 price), but it’s worth to rent one, they provide thorough explanation of the history and wonder of the architecture.

The Pantheon's expansive interior is truly awe-inspiring. Its spaciousness adds to the grandeur of the architecture, creating a sense of wonder and majesty. Visitors are greeted with an overwhelming feeling of awe as they take in the vastness of the structure. It's a testament to the ingenuity of ancient engineering and a must-see for anyone visiting Rome.

Amazing place to visit, truly an architectural wonder. We visited on the first Sunday in December so admission was free. We went early so the crowds were not bad. We ended up staying for mass which was incredible. It was very moving. If you can only visit a couple of places in Rome this has to be on your list.

Beautiful and impressive! The self tour audio phones were nice to have if you want more details of history and information about the pantheon. We went on a Sunday morning at opening but it wasn’t busy only a few people inside. Didn’t have to wait long in line to buy the tickets, it was surprisingly quick, but it did start to get more crowded as the hour went by. Recommend being there within the hour it opens to have more space to enjoy it.

Incredible Roman architecture that you have to see to really get a sense of scale. The colors of the marble everywhere were magnificent, the sculptures are beautiful, and the little audio kiosks were nice. Those were two euros for up to 4 headsets, with 2 provided and 2 headphones jacks available. We went during the off season, so the wait in line was not long. We had considered getting the Roma pass for a few days, but walking to it, waiting, and walking away, was all fine with us.

Visiting the Pantheon in Rome was an experience that far exceeded my expectations, deserving nothing less than a five-star rating. This architectural masterpiece, once a Roman temple and now a church, is a testament to the ingenuity and grandeur of ancient Rome.

The Majestic Dome: The moment you step inside, the Pantheon’s vast dome captivates you. Its oculus, the only source of natural light, casts a heavenly beam across the interior, creating a serene and almost mystical atmosphere. The engineering marvel of the dome, still the world’s largest unreinforced concrete dome, left me in awe of ancient Roman architectural prowess.

Historical Significance: The Pantheon holds centuries of history within its walls, serving various roles throughout its existence. Its endurance through time, virtually intact, offers a rare and direct connection to the ancient world. Walking through the same space where emperors and artists once tread was a profoundly moving experience.

Artistic Beauty: Beyond its architectural significance, the Pantheon also houses important works of art, including the tombs of renowned artist Raphael and several Italian kings. The beauty of the art and inscriptions adorning its interior adds layers of depth to an already fascinating visit.

Accessibility and Preservation: Despite its popularity, access to the Pantheon is remarkably efficient, with free entry that allows everyone to appreciate this historical gem. The care taken to preserve this ancient structure while keeping it open to the public is commendable.

A Place of Reflection: What sets the Pantheon apart for me is its atmosphere of tranquility and reflection. Amid the bustling streets of Rome, it stands as a sanctuary of peace, inviting visitors to ponder the passage of time and the legacy of human achievement.

Conclusion: The Pantheon is not just an essential visit for those interested in history or architecture; it is a profound experience that resonates on a deeper level. Its architectural brilliance, historical depth, and enduring beauty make it a highlight of Rome that should not be missed. My visit to the Pantheon was an unforgettable journey back in time, leaving me with lasting memories and a deep appreciation for this ancient wonder.

Impressive place to visit. It's recomended to buy tickets in advance and do yourself a favour and take the audioguide! It's a 30+ minute story, around 17 chapters, in which you are guided from the construction of the pantheon, all the way to modern times. I visited during a rainy day, making the experience more pleasurable by just seeing the water pouring in through the opening in the ceiling. There are benches for you to sit in and enjoy.

This magnificent structure, once an ancient Roman temple, stands as one of the most significant historical and architectural landmarks in Rome. Its dome is so beautifully crafted that it deserves all the praises it receives, and the feelings experienced while exploring its interior are truly unique and cannot be unhissable elsewhere.

The entrance used to be free of charge, but as of 2024, they have set a €5 entrance fee.

Visiting the Pantheon was such a highlight of my time in Rome! The architecture is mind-blowing, especially the dome and the way the light streams in through the oculus. It’s like stepping into a piece of history. The atmosphere inside is so peaceful and awe-inspiring. Definitely a must-see if you’re in Rome, and definitely deserving of five stars!

Stunning, gorgeous inside and out, this is a marvel of architecture and engineering. The natural light that resonates inside is something to behold. The floor...insanely articulate and colorful. Purchase your tics in advance, but expect a wait in line regardless. Beware of the many scams and trinkets being aggressively aimed at tourists waiting in line. So worth the crowds and wait though. Getting here while walking thru the surrounding streets is so enjoyable. Lovely area to meander as you approach the plaza. If you can find a place to sit and enjoy a doppio espresso outside with a view of the Pantheon as your backdrop...congrats, you've just won!

Really cool place to visit I’m really impressed at the dome is one piece that was really neat. If you get the call today to buy educated, I would highly recommend it as I was not able to learn anything besides on YouTube and the reviews here also be aware there is a ice cream nearby number from them it’s €15 per ice cream which is crazy.

One of the best places in Rome. The inside and outside of the Panteon is quite fascinating. You can enter inside easily but you need to wait queue when it is crowded. There are also good places to drink with a good view.

5 stars because it's cool.

However, it could/will be very busy and wait times to go inside will be long (I didn't go inside because of this).

Would recommend a visit at night as well because they light it up.

Incredible. It's easy to call this the oldest building I've ever been in. What's hard is understanding that it's 2000 years old, and still the largest unreinforced cement dome in the world. It's a true marvel, well worth the €10 to get in. We had no wait on a moderately busy weekday. Not that anyone would, but you can't miss this.

The largest Rotonda and concrete dome in all of Rome. It is stunning and beautiful and offers a view like no other.

The rotonda is very large and beautiful and it is open at the top. The sunshine rains through and glitters all the monuments and statues within. It is breathtaking and superb to look at.

You can sit there for awhile and look up at its majestic views. Highly recommend a visit. Buying tickets in advance saves a bit of money and saves you time from queuing up as the lines to enter will get very long!

Very close to many attractions, spectacular dome. The downside is there are only two self-service ticket machines on-site.

Incredible monument. If you are lucky enough to go while it is raining you will see the rain through the roof coming inside. A beautiful experience.
