Amazing park near the heart of Rome. Everybody can find here a perfect spot for a picnic, meditation, workout or simply being together with loved ones. Magical place.

One of the magic places in the world. 300 hectare princely estate
With long dirt roads lined by classic statues. Grace as expressed in gardens. This enchanted place has stayed the same in the centuries. Well worth a morning visit.

The park with its wide space looks like a well organized city but no pollution and noice. It has everything to amuse the visitors such as greenery, tall-tree-shade, bush, play ground for different sports, sitting places and opportunities for spending quality time with friends and family. Once anyone comes here he/she never stops visiting this beautiful park.

Beautiful park that has some of the prettiest sunsets in all of Rome! There are very few tourists here as well, and amazing trails that go all throughout the park!

I am glad to walk in this park. Area is big. There are two different parts of the park. One part is with the old beautiful casino and gardens.

Many people are jogging and walking all day long. But it is better to walk with somebody. Because Rome is not so safety for a lonely person.

There is also a bistrot with cute interiors. It is in the part of the park where is casino. But the bistrot is close to the middle of the park.

A beautiful park! The perfect blend between nature and modernization. Not too crowded and an excellent place to spend an evening in solitude or with family.

Incredible park, maybe one of the best things I did in my 10days in Rome.
Grab some gelato on the way in, plenty of benches and shade to sit in, churches, sculptures and fountains along the way.
It was a delight to get some greenery and fresh air in the big city. All kinds of people enjoy this park without it being too crowded. Save a day for it, you won't be sorry.

A beautiful park, you have a huge area of nature for walking, running and cycling. Amazing sights , a bit hilly even, with a rokoko part and a nice cafe as well

Villa Doria Pamphili is the largest public park in Rome, and was the former country estate of the Pamphili family.

"In 1644 Cardinal Giambattista Pamphili became elected to the papacy and took the name of Innocent X. In accordance with this change in status, the Pamphili aspired to a grander and more expansively sited new villa.

The initial design had a central casino (a house in the original meaning of the term) with wings, but only the central block was built. There is uncertainty as to who the architect was; Algardi was not an architect, and it may be that he had help from Carlo Rainaldi and that the construction was supervised by Grimaldi.

Construction began in 1645 and was complete by 1647 although embellishments and the garden layouts were not finished until 1653. The casino, sometimes known as the Casino del Bel Respiro, was designed as a complement to the Pamphili collection of sculptures both ancient and modern, and other Roman antiquities such as vases, sarcophagi and inscriptions; it was only ever intended for display of the collection and the family and guests resided in the older Vecchia Vigna."

A very beautiful park. Unfortunately, the villa itself was closed, but through the fence you can see labyrinths and oranges. A nice place.

Beautiful gardens full of birds with great views of Vatican City and the snow-capped peaks to the east. Highly recommend as a quiet break from Roma.

What a great place to run and see all the local doing yoga / doors in the park. There is a cafe, a children playground, a field for running and a beautiful villa..
And is just 5-10 run from the A.Roma Hotel :) my favorite outdoor gym.

Huge public park. It was a Villa of some kind back in the 1600's. There are gardens, fountains, ponds, ruins, and those amazing Italian pine trees! Lots of locals out for a stroll or a jog. The park is amazing with ruins, though not ancient, but centuries old around every corner. The Villa is only open on the weekends I believe. The park is not crowded (not during the week anyway). A stunning, wonderful place to visit!
