We were very lucky to have dinner at Trattoria Al Moro being one of the oldest and most authentic Trattoria in Rome. The food was excellent from the starters all the way to the desert. Highly recommend the spaghetti alla Moro, the carbonara and the spaghetti with truffles 👍🏼 I will surely revisit whenever I am next in Rome

Al Moro lives up to its reputation! I had the bucatini all’amatriciana, it was fantastic. Roman artichokes were delicious. The goal of al Moro is to make sure every customer leaves happy and satisfied. Everything on the menu is purposed for this goal. The waiters are all amazing characters. It’s quite a dining experience. Reservations are a must and please dress up a little bit. WORTH IT!

One or the best place to enjoy Italian food.. Best of the nest trattorias. The local carbonara ‘’spaghetti al moro’’ start with the incredible mozzarellas… the zabaione with chocolate… Also The service is better impossible 100/100

This restaurant is delicious! This is the kind of restaurant where Italians go eat, not the tourist kind. Really exquisite food with a very nice ambiance and friendly service. I really recommend! The gelato de pistachio for the dessert is from heaven.

Excellent service and original Roman cuisine. This was our favorite restaurant in Rome. We had everything that our camariere recommended. The pasta Al Moro was superb, the carciofi a la romana nothing that you can compare to, la amatricciana…It was my moms birthday, and we even sung “tanti auguri a te” thanks to the staff. Excellent wine and limoncello recommended.

This is a Roman institution, the best carbonara ( Al Moro) iv ever had. The artichokes and roasted
Porcini’s are next lvl. Service was as expected- good and respectable. Save room for desert, the berry tart and chocolate egg custard is amazing.
Being a chef myself I know how much things cost to produce and the quality is 100% there. A plate of roasted porcini’s cost 30 euro/ but there the best iv ever had— they cost over 50$ a pound to purchase so what do you expect to pay…

Ignore the bad reviews for this place because it’s a must visit when in Rome. It’s that good

FYI it’s located within stone throw of the foundation. Unfortunately a target for pickpockets etc. don’t leave your belongings or purses out and about. Use common sense. The restaurant can’t do anything for you there. Unfortunately it happens

One of the best meals we’ve had in Italy. Very authentic - don’t be intimidated by the menu, they have an English version. Artichoke appetizer was outstanding. Bresaola with arugula and parmesan was fresh and light. Pastas we’re cooked to perfection. Homemade zabaione with mixed berries was the perfect ending. Highly recommend.

Most genuine trattoria in Rome. It’s always packed with people and you certainly need to make a reservation to find a table. Staff is very polite. Huge variety of food and dishes in the menu and the wine list is a huge book that certainly makes you need some support from the waiters in order to find something close to your taste. The dishes even though not decorated like in a fancy restaurant (since you are in a trattoria) have great portions and are extraordinary and very tasty. In general the prices are really good given that you are in the heart of Rome and will eat genuinely great Italian food

2nd time at Al Moro. Outstanding in every way. Flavor's of my pasta was maybe the best I've ever had. Wine list is beautiful & the waiter helped us chose a great bottle of Sauvignon. Service is friendly & discreet.

Situated in the bustling heart of the city, Trattoria al Moro could easily be mistaken for just another tourist centered restaurant. But do not be fooled - this establishment sets itself apart with its top-tier quality and incredibly fresh seafood.

An absolute must try is their spaghetti alle vongole and prawns. These dishes are exceptional, boasting robust flavors and impeccable preparation. Moreover, the restaurant shines in its rendition of Roman classics. The Roman-style artichokes, in particular, are among the best you could find - tender, flavorful, and delightful down to the last leaf.

So, if you're looking to indulge in high-quality Roman cuisine amidst the city's tourist center, Trattoria al Moro is the perfect destination.

Back at it again!!

When we first dined at @almororoma back in 2018 when we visited Rome, it left us with quite the impression that we just had to come back and it did not disappoint!

There are a few plates missing as we just couldn’t wait.

Pictured:
~ Tagliatelle with butter and white truffle sauce
~ Spaghetti with tomatoe and basil
~ Caprese Salad
~ Strawberry custard cake
~ Profiterole (Cream puffs)

Dishes that we devoured before the camera had a chance to snap a shot:
~ Veal Meatballs with mash potatoes
~ Bucatini with butter and Parmesan
~ Zabaione (I hope I spelled this right)

The pastas here are TO DIE FOR!

And that strawberry custard cake was so good we actually ordered another!

Really good variety and authentic Italian options. Great tasting dishes to share and enjoy. Above all the service is fantastic and definitely worth the long wait time to get seated.

Never fails to make a memorable evening. Food was brilliant. Pity it's not yet ovoli season. Waiters.. Were on the tired side! Hard to get but not at disaster level.. As long as you are chilled and have a beautiful wine for the wait. Still one of my fav Rome spots.

One of the institutional trattorias in Rome. The food is as they say in Italian “ottimo” : simply great. The service is friendly. The ambiance is hundred percent original to Rome and makes you feel in this historical city. It has an Italian client base of real local residents , politicians, media personalities. You will be satisfied with whatever you order. They add dishes according to the season. I was lucky to be there once at “vignarola” season at spring time when they stew artichokes with pees and fava beans, a dish to die for that l had to order two servings. I prefer it for lunch as it is located at the center of the city, very close to the Trevi fountain to allow myself a good and tasty break and then walk out to sunshine and continue my promenade in the streets of Rome.

A fantastic restaurant in the heart of Rome. I short walk from the Trevi Fountain. Great classic Italian dishes with some Al Moro specials too. Incredible value for money, given the quality of the food and location.

We were told about al Moro by several people and were not disappointed!! Let the waiter guide you towards a dish you won't forget! We tried a salad of Ovoli mushrooms which was amazing, excellent Vitello tonnato and a fresh made pasta with sausage and fungi! Highly recommend!!

Average food, good service comparing to others in Rome and the atmosphere as a whole is good but the restaurant is pretty small. Off course they putted us in a small table, stacked in a middle of couples even thought the restaurant was completely empty.
