More product options, however hefty prices. Most stores is open 24/7 that means a lot in Iceland especially when wanting fresh bread and pastry early in the morning, as most supermarkets open at 10a.m. that is a bit late imao. Also most supermarkets close at approx. 19:00 and Hagkaup is mentioned before 24/7 and great for midnight snacking. Or perhaps not 😁

As an American, Hagkaup kind of reminds me of a smaller Wegman's. They carry a wide variety of food, and this location at least had some prepared food at a salad bar. Staff were friendly and we got what we needed.

I was starving by the night in Iceland, and found that all the restaurants were closed at 8PM! WTH!

So I googled and found this gem so close to my rental place, like 5 mins walks. When I arrived there I was stunned because there were so many things, like a Target. from head to toe you can find it here, I believe.

I grabbed, some bites and headed back to the place and filled up my stomach and slept happily. lol

Best place for groceries. We stopped here to get some fuel and discovered this place. Excellent collection, fair price and friendly staff. We found pretty much everything we needed. I was searching for Haagen Daz Mango ice cream for the longest time ever and surprisingly found it here. Worth a visit!

Nice place for shopping and take picture, a lot of spot for selfie in this area.

More quality, more to choose from and more expensive. But not always. Other than most grocery stores in Iceland there's alot of verity outside of food and basic essentials. Clean and calm.

Stopped here late because nothing else was open. Had a good selection, and a friendly staff helped us find some items.
