Ahh the Coziest cafe I’ve been in Iceland. Their fish soup is so delicious as everyone has mentioned! Specially the paprika bread is crazy good.

Top. Fantastic menu - fish soup (maybe the best I ever had), home backed bread, salad and tea or coffee. You can sit inside or outside, there is enough space. The cakes are delicious, too. Free wifi if you need.

This place embodies everything I've ever wanted in a cafe. The fish soup we had for lunch is to die for, and you can tell that it is made fresh every day. The lady who makes the soup offered extra servings if we wanted, and oh boy we took her right up on the offer. Yum!! The homemade bread made with local beer is also delicious and is perfect with the soup. To top it off, salad is also included and super yummy. Tea, coffee and lemon water are included, too. The atmosphere is so cozy and delightful, I wish I could stay here forever. Best cafe/restaurant we've been to in Iceland, hands down. Lots of locals dining here too. Can't wait to come back on our next trip - it's a must visit.

If there was ever a time to try fish soup for this first time, this restaurant has really set the bar high for all other soups to come. The homemade turmeric bread with butter and herbs was phenomenal! Glady went back for second portions!

The fish soup was butter, fish broth, good amount of smaller pieces of fish, lots offresh tarragon. Very very good.
Fish soup, bread butter, salad coffee or tea $23.50 USD. I didn't have the salad so I could have apple cake, but chocolate, carrot, Icelandic cream and berries cake, brownies and a chocolate cake were other choices. Sandwiches are another choice. I would definitely come back for the soup.

10/5 stars. This cafe has an unforgettable ambiance. From the music, the vintage and eclectic decor, to the owners who have a story to tell for each piece within the cafe, I loved and relished every minute I was here. The people and the place made me feel warm, at home, and safe. You could never get bored exploring all the pieces in this cafe. There is even a hidden old cinema room in the back. Enjoy a bowl of their fish soup with homemade local beer bread and salad while admiring the snow covered mountains by the water.

They sell one thing, and that’s all they need to sell. It’s fish soup and it’s delicious! Ours came with a salad and beer bread, the upstairs room has a fun ambiance and a gorgeous view. Two locals recommended coming here so I felt like it was an authentic experience as well.

Delicious fish soup.
The cafe is adorable. It looks like a rustic, Nordic cafe. The staff are friendly. They have fish soup, which comes with a salad, bread, and coffee (or tea). They also had quiche and a bakery case full of goodies.
There is quite a bit of seating available: outside, inside, and inside on the second floor. Second floor offers water views.

One of our favorite spots during a week visiting the country. Cozy, friendly staff, unique and pleasant decor. Local beer, homemade fish soup that comes with bread and salad and coffee, delicious pastries. Locally made wool sweaters for sale. We didn’t want to leave!

This is a great place for seafarers like us, arriving in our 10 m trimaran from Akureyri and mooring in Dalvik before going on to Hrisey a few nautical miles further to the east. A warm fish soup accompanied by a beer sat well since the outside temperature was five centigrades and the water temperature just a little bit higher. The heater on board was not functioning. Here you are well received and beer and food arrive rapidly. The place is full of guys drinking beer and Icelandic parafernalia from various seasons of the year. Highly recommended.

Everything the previous reviews have said about this place is true. It is cosy, welcoming and the fish soup is unbeatable. We stumbled across it, simply looking for a Swiss mocha whilst on the road but we ended up having the fish soup and coffees and enjoyed the leave and quiet and the view!

A cafe with extraordinary interior. Fish soup is 10/10 (portion is small and depend on plate). Skyr cake will be a good addition to the main course.

Their fish soup is really tasty with many fish pieces. For approximately 17€ you get soup with homemade bread and salad. You can even get refill of soup and take more bread and vegetables. The owners are really friendly and nice, making sure that everyone is full offering more soup or bread. The atmosphere in this place feels authentic.. with nice icelandic decorations. It's perfect stop before you go for whale watching.
