Being a solo globetrotter, I rarely visit consulates to physically submit documents as most of the countries have gone digital post-pandemic. 🇵🇭 Is yet to go thoroughly online for a complete overhaul. Wonder when that can happen.

The staff is not just helpful but given the opportunity and patience to deal with everything, they would be kind enough to help you out in most of the things, Be it for tourism or business purposes! Most of the details are given on the website and impatient customers often aggravate the staff but I don't blame them. If you can read and prepare your documents in advance, I'd say the time and hassle is lessened on either end to expedite the visa issuance. 😁 Just be a bit smart!

MR.MUKESH IS REALLY VERY VERY HELPFUL & COOPERATIVE....

Prompt service; provided you have all required documents, you can check with Mr. Mukesh who works there under consulate and is very helpful and responsive even over emails, calls or messages. Instant processing (<3 day) comes with additional fees, general processing takes more than a week (and is dependent on visa type) . They have specific timings for submission and dispatch (9 am to 1 pm for submission and 4pm to 6pm for dispatch) however for general processing/pickup the security guard who is on duty will help you irrespective of the above timings.
As far as the location is concerned, the building security guards (posted outside on gate) will allow entry only after 9 AM); I would suggest you to take a ride as I don't think they have parking (there is a gas station nearby where I parked)

Often, getting the PH VISA can be very difficult, if the right documents are not available. I traveled to the PH in the month of April - 2023, and I have always preferred going to the consulate to get the VISA done, instead of any agency.

Why?

Because an agency cannot answer the questions on my behalf during the interview.

So, my experience of getting the PH VISA has been very comfortable even this time. Starting from the documentation - to the release of the passport, fortunately, things went ahead smoothly.

Hopefully, the Kolkata consulate office will continue to offer such reliable and transparent guidance and services throughout - thus making tourism safe and sound.
My experience during the month of June for getting the tourist VISA for the Philippines at the Kolkata Consulate was smooth. Mr Mukesh helped me a lot - and guided me with the process for the VISA application.

In the month of April, I have another trip planned for the PH. I shall be going for getting the VISA in the next year. Hopefully, things will go smooth. Let us pray for the best.
