A notable spot & also good enough to hang out.. It's very close to Presidency college/ Sanskrit college & University.

A historical vibe can be felt, when visited.

Max menu is quite reasonable.

An awesome experience and food and service. We could see school kids to elderly people enjoying each other’s company. The staff was polite and I guess most of them have been working for the past 50+ years. They were very kind. The food was delicious and at affordable price.

Indian Coffee House at College Street,a few steps away from College Square & Sanskrit College. A nostalgic place of Kolkata, the iconic song of Manna Dey's "Coffee House er sei Adda" to many memorable persons visit here once upon a time. You can feel this vibe inside the coffee house. Staff's behaviour is good and polite to every customer, they serve in a good manner.

Old classic place to be....must visit when you come to Kolkata. The vibe is very different from other ICH. The cult feeling of Kolkata is in the air.

The place is too crowded and has a long queue.

Ordered fish, coffee, egg haka noodles & bread toast.

The taste was decent for all the dishes and very economical!

Indian coffee house in Kolkata is very much a happening place. Vibe is for real. Spend time with your love ones, chit chat , have a coffee. You'll love it. I tried only coffee, it was average tho.

A heritage of 147 yrs, the service and coffee stood the taste of time. The place has a different old school vibe, where all ages of people came be seen enjoying, which is very rare. A highly recommended place.

It's a great place to go with your friends and spend as much time as you want to prove " coffee house er sei adda ta aj ar nei, aj ar nei" wrong!😂😅.
This is truly a heritage site of Kolkata ❤.

The food here is pretty average & not so pocket friendly!

Indian Coffee House is a nostalgic heaven that beckons friends, family, and even those seeking a authentic touch. The ambiance exudes a charming, old-world charm, making it a favourite spot for both the young and old. The pocket-friendly menu adds to its allure, offering a variety of tasty items that resonate with traditional flavors. The bustling chatter of patrons and the clinking of cups created a lively atmosphere..The waiters, dressed in traditional attire, added a touch of royalty to the experience..It's not just a place to eat; it's a journey through time, where conversations flow freely upright..Its walls adorned with portraits and shelves stacked with books create a unique ambiance. A visit to this iconic establishment is a must for anyone seeking intellectual stimulation and a taste of Kolkata's cultural heritage.
Must try mutton cutlets and special coffee!

I found food a little on the higher side comparing with the overall ambience, else the taste was great. Fish cutlet was really tasty. Environment was really urban- chic- intellect kind of. People were busy in their phone, novel, laptop, coffee etc. There's also a very friendly cat hopping around tables. Overall a must visit place with your friends for light snack and gossip sesh.

It can’t be described in words …. It’s not just a random coffee shop or café or some restaurant…. It’s a Bengali emotion …a vintage place where people_friends_families used to gather after their daily routine life ….. no age barriers …. All the age group from students to senior citizens come altogether to share their whereabouts….

So it’s a must visit place if you’re coming to Kolkata to enjoy the old streets & some time quality vintage time ….

Food taste is good … and in case you want to explore the coffee in particular then go for special coffee. Last time I visited there wasn’t such option but now they have added special coffee… so you can try or else enjoy just the food specially fish fingers and fish kobiraji…😇

Very good environment and vintage look. But the quality of food is not good enough. If you want to feel the nostalgia then I would definitely suggest everyone, but not for food.

I have heard so much about this place and had made sure to visit this yesteryear renowned cafe whenever I visit Kolkata so finally explored this place, This cafe actually has a vibe where quite many people had visited for years and its always filled with people and few also visit this restaurant just to click pictures.

I had ordered for Fish kobiraji along fish cutlet and both were upto the mark service was really fast though it took me sometime to get a table free for me

This is the oldest place in Kolkata. The Indian Coffee House. The place became a meeting place for poets, artistes, literati and people from the world of art and culture. The coffee house is famous for its adda sessions, and as the breeding place of several political and cultural personalities and movements.

However, the quality of the food and drink is still good.

The pristine coffee house at its best, albeit a bit refurbished and modernised. Ordered coffee, special coffee and cold coffee with chicken pakoda and all were pretty good,

Indian Coffee House is a historical cultural place in Kolkata city and is also well-recognized by the people of the Indian sub-continent who study history and culture. However, this place is very famous for the atmosphere of it! People could enjoy different types of snacks and platters here. But the food quality is not that much appreciable considering the food price range. However, the ambiance of this place is excellent!

When I planned the trip to the city of Joy, the only thing I have been hearing from the young people is that I must visit this place. I finally got a step into the coffee house after the Durga Pooja celebrations. Its an old and charming building and huge dining place inside and also on the top of the house. As soon as you enter, you will start feeling nostalgic and go in the past. You will find many youngsters and old people sipping coffee or having omelette and indulged in some serious conversations. Its a place known of chattering and sharing information or discussing the history of India. Its a hub for all the artists of Kolkata who come together to discuss over a cup of coffee or smoke.
t's not just a place to eat; it's a journey through time, where conversations flow freely and memories linger. A visit to Indian Coffee House is not just about the food; it's an experience that binds generations together in the heart of delightful nostalgia.
I had two cup of coffee. The prices are reasonable and affordable.

I enjoyed the place so much & the food was so much good and tasty.. & yes budget friendly.. In one word it was mind blowing experience.. I will go there again

No matter how many coffee shops come in this time, Collegepara's 'Coffee House' is one and only for Bengalis. This coffee house is located in the heart of College Street where famous intellectuals hang out for hours over a cup of coffee. Formerly known as the Albert Hall, this hall has witnessed many historical meetings or gatherings. Being located in Collegepara, it is a very popular hangout for college students.

At the same time, Indian Coffee House is a nostalgia for city employees, intellectuals, politicians. It is about this coffee house that Manna Dey's famous song 'Coffee Houser Sei Addata', from which I first came to know the name of this place.

This century-old coffee house is now a tourist attraction located in West Bengal’s city kolkata College street. The taste and tradition and service remain exactly as they were in the beginning.
