Himalayan Botanical Garden

A must visit place around Nainital. There is an entry fee of 50 rupees and it’s totally worth the money. The place is neatly maintained and the staff are very polite to explain things around. The variety of plants is huge and I f your are a nature lover, you will experience pure bliss experiencing variety of plants including cactuses. There is a co-located museum for insects and butterflies too. There is parking space available in front of entrance also and there won’t be much crowd usually during weekdays. The view point at the top of the garden is very picturesque.

It is a beautiful place for someone who loves nature. There are a lot of plants, beautifully maintained and labelled. Kids will learn a lot about different species of flowers. The view from the top is mesmerising. There is a small museum too. Ticket price is 50rs for entry...but worth the money. Must visit with children. Old age people might find it difficult to take steps as they are steep.

Actually very nice for people interested in viewing a variety of flaura and fauna. Mind the stairs & elevation and don't touch the plants, it can incur fine. A very quiet place to enjoy nature, surrounded by whistling mountains.

Oh I loved it! The location is perfect, you can cover this while going to Nainital or on the way back. You're going to love the plants and flowers. Make sure you go to the view point and watch tower.

A wonderful place to visit situated in between the hills . This botanical garden contains a huge variety of information about butterflies , birds, insects , flowers and cactus .
The location and ambiance is superb . The garden is very neat and clean , well maintained . You can spend a lot of time here . You should try the Aloo Paratha and Ginger Tea in the canteen inside the garden…taste was very good .

Very well maintained place. Very education for children especially insect museum. Many varieties of insect and butterflies can be seen here. Great place to see flora of this region. Over all a good experience.

With a wide variety of plants this botanical garden is a beautiful hanging out trip in itself. There is a small insect museum, fern garden and cactus green houses apart from the beautiful gardens across the hilly terrain

This place is very peaceful and green. If you want to have peace of mind and get some knowledge of plants then this is a perfect place when you have visited Nainital. There are some view towers as well from where you can see beautiful view of Nainital. Please visit here early as the closing time is 5 PM.

It's nice place if u love to see new plants and flower things .on entrance they keep lilly ,rose , marigold , orchid and other variety of flowers.they been welcome with this then small butterfly garden is there , mentioned which is butterfly various and poisonous etc

Beautiful place to see different himalyan birds and butterflies. The place also has the Khurpatal lake view form it's tree house . There is also a beautiful moss area. Best time to visit botanical garden in on winters and monsoon. Then, the life in its time can be seen . The place also has elevation so be ready to walk and fall in love with the scenery around. It also has an small canteen and a souvenir shop, to shop locally made products. It also has an butterfly and insect museum.

This place is a must visit for flower lovers as it is a place where you can find many beautiful flowers and you can also watch the scenic beauty of the mountains while breeze touching your face as you sit on the bench. It costed inr 50 per person when we visited. You shall definitely have a peaceful time visiting this place.

Value for money. It has Fern Garden, Butterfly Park, Insect Museum, Greenhouse for deser plants, watch tower etc. You will find variety of Himalayan and medicinal flora here. One can get bird's eye view of surrounding from top. It is advisable not to touch any attractive plants or butterflies as it may be toxic. There is drinking water inside. Ticket price is Rs 50 and it takes about 30min- 45 min to roam all garden

Excellent place to learn about the complete cycle of all living organism except humans. A wide variety of flowers, plants,trees and different methods to cultivate variety of plants. Very informative guide presence make this place more loving. I just loved being there. It's so Serene.just loved the place

A must visit place at Nainital. Huge lush green space with a lots of type of flowers orchids and plants. Nice well maintained, photogenic too. Bring some time here while visiting. Entry fee is also cheap, only Rs.50/- Do have a restaurant and parking space too.

It feels like coming to this place, as if tried, flowers can be fed even in the desert. Coming here, it seems as if a few moments away from the hustle and bustle of the city help you to become united with nature. This garden is built on dry dry barren rocky ground which sets it apart from the others. very beautiful. If you come to Nainital, you must come to visit here. Excellent place from the point of view of education. i love this place.
