I went here on 2nd dec with my friend for the first time....roaming on path is free for all ,it's just before minmangal ghat and after judges ghat .......best for walking, photo clicking and somewhere it's peaceful spaces are well for lovers..... The Gwalior Monument (গোয়ালিয়র স্মৃতি-সৌধ) Kolkata , also known as Ellenborough's Folly or The Pepperpot , The top of the monument is built like a Mughal 'chhatri' or umbrella supported by 8 bronze pillars. From here, the Hoogly river can be seen along with a view of the Howrah Bridge and the Vidyasagar Setu 👌 ,However entry is restricted☹. The Kolkata Rail line passes alongside the memorial between the Eden Gardens and Prinsep Ghat railway stations, and provide the view of this monument. One of Beautiful and historical architectural landmark of Kolkata .

Beautiful monument built in memory of fallen Indian soldiers in the war fought with the British in 1842 at Gwalior. Well lit at night, earlier tourists could climb up the monument. Beautiful.

View from this place is awesome.. but avoid weekends .. crowded most.. street foods are also not up to the mark.. try to visit in the sunset 🌅
