John was excellent. He really took great care of us. He offered advice on food . John guided us through our meal expertly. The food portions are great and the German Cola was excellent!!!!

Me and my boyfriend had a lovely evening with amazing Indian food in a modern and cozy atmosphere and with very attentive and nice service. Whether it was the Daal soup as a starter, the Chicken Tikka with vegetables and Butter sauce or the Lamb Kebab with Tikka Masala sauce - we enjoyed every bite and were amazed that they also had a gluten free chickpea bread. We are definitely coming back.

Excellent food, among the top Indian restaurants in Budapest. Flexible in adjusting dishes to be completely vegan, recommending gluten-free options. Server John very kind and funny. Many thanks for the good experience!

This is one of my favorite Indian restaurants. It is the second time I come.

The dishes are delicious and varied, ideal for lovers of spiciness (although you can ask without spiciness if you don't like it). There are vegan and gluten free options.

The service is great, the guys are very friendly. The place is spacious and cozy.

I hope to come back soon !
Thank you so much :)

This place is definitely worth visiting. If you are in Budapest and you love Indian cuisine, please stop by! We actually stumbled upon the restaurant by “accident”. So glad we did! It’s vegan friendly, there’s even healthy dishes like cauliflower rice, interior was pleasant and the staff was beyond polite. The portions were so big that we took half of it home. The box which we received was packed very safely and lasted us our whole 6-hour journey back home to Czechia so we could devour the rest of the meal the next day 😊 Overall great experience, we will be back!

Very authentic food of very good quality. Very friendly manager, waiters. It’s the best Indian food I had. The chicken is not pressed junk meat but fresh chicken breast pieces, and it’s all well spiced.

I had the pleasure of dining at Pesti Chutneyand it exceeded all my expectations. The elegant decor and warm ambiance set the tone for a delightful evening. The service was impeccable, and the staff made us feel welcome throughout the meal. As for the food, each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavors that left us impressed. The chef's attention to detail was evident, and the ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality. I especially loved their Indian Tea, a perfect ending to a truly memorable dining experience.Pesti Chutney is a gem for anyone seeking a sophisticated culinary journey.

Been here with my family and let me say, the staff was very friendly and polite. Kind to my parents explaining everything on their first Indian cuisine experience, but the food was out of this world, superb! A very positive experience in a Budapest hidden corner! Very satisfied and optimum relationship price and quality! I wish i could have them in my city!

Totally recommended!!!!

The staff was super nice and attentive, asked us if everything was alright and made sure we had all we needed. The food was delicious - had the chicken lunch menu and the chicken tikka masala which we cleaned off the plate. Along with milk rice pudding, very flavorful and just the right amount of sweet.
Chill Indian music in the background, and nice colorful interior which really set the ambient for a peaceful and enjoyable lunch.
Will definitely come back.

Update (because we did go back a few more times):
we also recommend the wheat roti - it's delicious, the mango lassi is the best mango dessert/drink we ever had (even my partner who doesn't normally enjoy mango loved this one), prawn tikka with coconut curry sauce which were paired excellent together, paneer tikka masala and butter naan.
Everyone was super nice and attentive each time.
Thank you, we really enjoyed our time here!

for my taste the food was a bit tasteless but it’s a very subjective opinion, l like exaggerated amount of spices.
the service is absolutely 5 stars, they’re nice and fast. there is vegan menu options for affordable price

We tried the 7 course tasting menu, and every one of their dishes were delicious and filling. Each different types of meat were perfectly done with different types of sauces and spices each time. The waiters were charming and the service was quick. We would like to recommend this place to anyone who wants to find their new favorite Indian restaurant in Budapest. Thank you again for the unforgettable experience!

I love the people working here.. cozy atmosphere with lovely staff. :)

If you visit on a weekday their daily offer is a great choice. We had a nice tomato soup with a chicken rice meal and a nice coffe. We also tried butter naan with an eggplant cream as an appetizer.

I had an appetizer, a soup, the main dish, a ginger drink and a coffee for 13€.

The best food we ate in Budapest, better than hungarian food. Very tasty, rich in flavour and they also make the best chai latte ever. I totally recommend and i will definitely return here when i will revisit the city. The staff was very polite, helpful and very professional.

The daal lentil soup was the best i ever had. Creamy dal together with beetroot. A combination to die for. Absolutely delicious! The friendly water recommended me a main dish with beef in a rich creamy cashew nut sauce with a lovely aromatic cardammon flavour (i am a cardammon lover) The beef was so tender that i could tear it appart with the fork. Still it was a bit crispy and matched wonderfully with the cashew cardammon sauce. The chef of this restaurant must truly be the Indian god of cuisine! Mango lassi was nice, creamy and with a rich joghurt-mango flavor. Nothing fancy, but solidly good.
Another time i had a chicken curry with lentils lunch which also tasts really good. The level of chilli was great. Its spicy enough but still retains its harmonic flavor.
I can really recommend this place. In my opinion its a gem of Indian food in Budapest.
Price was a bit high with 9500 HUF for 1 but the quality was excellent!
Atmosphere is not that special but i really enjoyed the classic Indian music which was played as a chilled background vibe.

The likeable host Rajat skillfully walked me through the menu and recommended a few excellent vegetarian options. The Vegan appetizer and the main course were great. The Naan bread was not outstanding, but good too. I'll definitely come back to try other items on the menu.
