Such a big square in Budapest. I really liked It. I recommend visiting during the sunset as the colours of the sky with the scenery make a perfect image . In the are there is also the art museum of Budapest, Europe's biggest ice rink, and also the city park

One of the best places of Budapest. The founder of Hungary, Arpad is to be seen and a lot of other attractions, museum for arts and gallery both in opposition to each other. You must see the Museum of music 200 meters on the red hand side that good small Restaurant ein fantastic Show.

I guess everyone knows this, but don't miss this place if you are coming to Budapest! This square is magnificent and it's best to visit it with a tourist guide or to prepare yourself with a bit of Hungarian history reading so you can catch the whole concept. The nearby castle, park and the ice rink/frozen lake where you can do ice skating (during the winter ofc) makes this place even more interesting.

A large square with monuments and statues of the most outstanding kings, princes and leaders of Hungary. Behind the square is the entrance to a huge park full of various attractions, such as a zoo, one of the most popular thermal baths in Budapest and a large, beautiful castle that really makes an amazing impression.

An iconic and grand square flanked by two art museums. The square features a variety of statues depicting Hungarian symbols and figures. such as Saint Stephen, the first king of Hungary, and Louis the Great, who occupied Naples.

No tickets needed, free access to the square. Easy access from the Hop on Hop off bus, it stops right by the square. Tip: public bathrooms are available if you are in need 😊. We went through the week, the end of September 2023. There were not too many tourists. Beautiful spot, great sculptures. A must see when in Budapest.

Very impressive square representing the Hun tribes that settled here and being finished by notorious personas from Hungarian history. What's even better is the park behind it, featuring a terme, hot air balloon, a hot lake and a castle!

It was my first time visiting budapest and the heroes square is the first tourist spot i step on. It was a great experience roaming around the city, i may not visit some of the museum, but still it is worth it. And i promise to visit there again

Totally worth it! As you watch the hero's square, on left hand there is the museum of fine arts, it's a waste of time and money... Only a room is Worthing inside the museum and nothing more..

I believe one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. There is in the background a tethered hot air balloon ride. The heroes of the Hungarian revolution and history are immortalized in bronze statues here in the center of Budapest.

I could spend the whole day taking pictures and meeting other tourists at this square alone. But, better still, there's a lovely agricultural park close by with a peaceful flowing river. It's one of the stops (I think #9) on the hop on hop off tour. Budapest generally is a surprisingly great tourist city. Would definitely visit here again.

Beautiful historic memorial in the heart of Budapest centre. It is situated next to Városliget, so there are some very nice cafés and restaurants around.

Nice architectural square dedicated to the heroes of Hungary. Wide open space and one of the iconic places for photo ops. Best time to visit would be the evening time when the sun helps you in the photography.

The central historical memorial for Hungarian people with fantastic surroundings the likes of parks, museums, a public bath, ice-skating park- close to Metro stations. You will learn a lot about Hungarian heritage, the royal lineage and experience their rich history. The square is located in a residential area. It is at the end of Andrassy Avenue, worth a 30 minute walk from Budapest's centre to the Heroe's square. Enjoy!
