Co-op Food - Islington - Holloway Road

I love shopping at co op as they have never disappointed me with their choices of food and drinks inside, good to have such a shop in our local area as they provide a friendly and professional service, thank you co-op

Decent enough size and hence selection, in a good location as this area is a bit of a blackspot for supermarkets.
They've only just opened but seems to be running ok, look forwards to seeing how the products change as they learn about what local people want to buy.
Their salt and Chardonnay wine vinegar crisps are excellent! Best S&V crisps of any I've tried!

A very welcome addition to Upper Holloway, with a better selection and lower prices compared to the Sainsburys.

Both staff was very nice and generous. Was very helpful as well.

Good place to shop

It's a nice store, and I'm only deducting a star because they let people in without masks. I asked the Security Guard why and he said it was Co-op policy to recommmend but not enforce. Pretty irresponsible given the virus has become so contagious.

I live across the road nice store but I love the sun news paper not got any had walk down to Sainsbury’s

New to the area, this Co op gives an extra option for shopping in this section of the Holloway Road. Convenient if you live locally.

If you don't look after the peny, go there the price is too high

I popped into this store literally just once. Products are very pricey(eye watering to say the least) and the quality of whatever it is depending on what it is you are buying is not present👎🏽. I was displeased with the quality of the products I purchased. Customer service is good. Staff are polite. No other issues

I was so happy to have a CO-OP as local shop when it opened. Things changed since then unfortunately. Not easy getting some service. Their self check-out do not accept cash payments. The shop used to close 11pm but now closes 10pm, so losing my custom as when I get back from work they're already closed. In the morning, most of the days, they don't have any fresh pastries nor fresh bread for some reason. Another loss on customers for them I guess. So, from being happy of their opening, now I wish another shop would have opened. Very disappointing.

This shop is a joke it’s a shop lifters paradise , I have just been in there saw two guys help themselves to all they wanted and walked out the security guy and as busy texting on his phone , it’s a joke . When I challenged him he said he was busy so I asked if I were to walkout with out paying and he said he would stop me !!! So I have to pay and others are left to help themselves???? They are useless

IF zero stars were available that's what I'd select. My first time in this store I was looking forward to seeing what was available, as I went to leave I was accosted by a store manager who told me to open my bag as she had seen me put something in it ...I couldn't believe it, I asked if she was joking to which she replied no I'm not, open the bag!, I told her angrily to check the cctv and when she does to apologise, she left me for 6mins crying and shaking in front of customers and colleagues, her colleagues were apologetic, however by that time i was enraged, she swans out the back nonchalantly and says well sorry through gritted teeth, then proceeds to offer ,"do you know how many thieves come in a day", Not the apology I was looking for , I was embarrassed demoralised and quite frankly in shock, her name is Laura seabrook, as a result I'm taking it further, I will never use co op again, and I urge black women to be careful when browsing, just being black was enough for her to assume I'm a thief!

Awful shop. Not one member of staff in the whole store. Clueless security guard not helpful. They want you to use self service check out but you can’t use cash. When we finally got staff member out from the back (it took 10 mins) he just laughed. No sense of self pride or professionalism. Only use as a last resort.

Does this business ever close on time? I’ve been here several times as the closing time says 11pm for every day of the week, yet on several occasions this past few months it has closed so much earlier. Tonight they were closing the shutters at 22.05! Fair enough if that’s the closing time but update your Google business page
