Harmless Store is my happy place! It's where I can shop responsibly, support cruelty-free products, and minimize packaging waste. The store bursts with positivity and good vibes, Tami and Jess are the heart and soul of it with a pinch of good, funny and contagious craziness.

The recent addition of the café, serving exclusively vegan drinks and pastries, makes you feel even better. It's refreshing not to have to specifically request plant-based milk in my cappuccino; this is how it should be.

I am so grateful to have this independent small business in my area. Not everyone gets to experience such a wonderful sense of community when shopping. In a world with endless options, choosing Harmless Store is a no brainer.

Reopened this morning - with bright and shiny new cafe - and it's fab! Happy faces, great wake-up coffee (preceded by a gentle herbal tea), amazing pastries and sandwiches, and mellow sounds. All of this on top of the normal friendly vibe and wonderful products that make the Harmless Store so special. Well done, Tami and team - looking forward to taking up residence in the window!

This shop has literally changed my life! I so look forward to my weekly visits, buying delicious vegan treats (marshmallows!!! The BEST vegan cheese you will ever taste!!!! Crunchies!!!) but also just such a lovely friendly environment.

Just moved into the neighbourhood and so chuffed to have this near me!! they have all the basics - grains, pasta, spices, tea, soap and more vegan products! affordable too. Staff are super friendly too ☺

This is North London gem! It is located in amazing Blue House Yard with other cute little stores, where they also have vegan market every Sunday. The shop is tiny but offer a lot: nuts, grains, pasta, bicarbonate of soda, teas, coffee, liquid shampoo and hair conditioner refills, eco cleaning detergent refills, locally made unique waste free face care and lots of other. Highly highly recommend!

An absolute local gem, run by a brilliantly friendly team. I've long enjoyed their refill goodies but the micro cafe is next level. FINALLY decent coffee on our doorstep! And the vegan bagels are so good my carnivore husband couldn't tell the difference!

Excellent selection of products, and things I hadn't expected from marshmallows to skin care products to sourdough and peanut butter. Amazing vegan sausage rolls - and I don’t usually like sausage rolls!!

It's good value and can be cheaper than supermarkets, e.g on my stock up of nuts and seeds.

I love that you can buy exactly how much you need, and there's no waste packaging. Staff are really friendly and helpful too.

I think it's important to have options for everyone, regardless of their dietary restrictions. Harmless Store is a good example of a business that is committed to sustainability and ethical sourcing, while also providing a wide range of delicious and affordable food options.

Edits to add: I wrote this review about two years ago and it’s still my go to shop for food. Except now it’s also my new coffee shop! Amazingly friendly and well stocked vegan store. I get everything from coffee to garlic oils from there.

Very friendly staff who don’t make you feel silly if you’re a bit intimated about using a refill shop for the first time. Really helpful in finding things and giving advice on recipes or preparation of different ingredients. Good selection of refill and packaged items, including some that are much cheaper than I’ve seen elsewhere. Welcoming to dogs and children and will help if your hands are full with them as well! Easy way to cut down on plastic waste and shop ethically. Highly recommended.

This shop has been a life line for us throughout the pandemic and subsequently. The staff go above and beyond. This should be the only way to shop! Also great around allergies, I have a nut allergy and they have factored this into how they have set the shop up. Also they are incredible at entertaining your children whilst you shop.

Great plastic free and vegan shop. Friendly, amazing staff who are excellent with both children and dogs, as well as really knowledgeable on all their products and vegan apprpaches to cooking / baking, etc. This store kept us going in lockdown (s) and has always been amazing. Well worth a visit. Plus, the cheapest spices ever!

Amazing selection of everything organic /vegan - from elusive spices, vegan chocolate, sensitive skin laundry powder to fine face clays and balms to GOOOD vegan non-alcoholic wine. And a small independent venture run by the most wonderful souls . 🤗💫support local ladies ! ⚡⚡💚

My favourite shop in London! It's run by Tami, a superhuman full of love and passion - she makes my day every time I visit. Large range of fantastic products, all chosen with the utmost care and love for our planet. At last I feel able to shop safe in the knowledge that my purchases are as ethical as possible AND blooming yummy! My kids absolutely love going too, and it's very dog-friendly. Highly recommended! xxx

Really lovely and welcoming, all the staff are angels so it's worth coming solely for the experience. So many good products, very simple and easy to do your own thing once you've been shown the ropes. I really like that I can come and get as much as I need, which is great for recipes where you might not really want or need a huge packet of something, but it has the added benefit of being kinder on the planet, too.

I love this place. It has such a great atmosphere and there is a fantastic range of products. The prices are ridiculously cheap. I just bought washing up liquid, bay leaves and delicious tomatoes on the vine all for just over £3! I had eaten most of the tomatoes before getting home. Please support this wonderful endeavour and the warm, welcoming, enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff

What a lovely experience from the moment I walked in. I was greeted by the lovely Tami, who is the store owner and boi is she a wealth of knowledge. She knows everything.

She pretty much has everything and if she doesn’t she will advise where to get it, or it may be in its way. Super helpful right.

The store I felt was so welcoming and easy to navigate around. You must bring your own bags, jars or what ever you want to use to fill them with the delicious goodies that surround you.

When I left I felt really good about myself, because not only am I helping the planet, but shopping at a local independent store is what everyone should be doing more of.

And as the famous Arnold Schwarzenegger once said: Al be back!!!

This store is just so good, honestly. Tami does her hardest to get the most sustainable products in for her customers, all the team are helpful and lovely, the products are amazing... Once when we were self-isolating her teammate Jess came by our house and did us a whole delivery package - I mean, this is care, you know? Nico and I are happy to support this small business and hope it thrives on through next year <3
