Great place! Had a good assortment of drinks, snacks and sweets. Sells newspapers and toiletries as well as tinned or canned food and non perishables. Very friendly staff. Also offer dry cleaning and ironing services. I do not believe that they allow card payments, but then again u always pay by cash.

I struggle to see the value of this store. I tried to use its dry cleaning service but it wasn't accepting clothes for the time being. As a basic grocery store, it is very limited, and duplicates much of the shop opposite. It was out of a core basic - eggs - when I needed them a few weeks ago. It also sold me counterfeit stamps a few years ago (albeit refunding me with apology when I had a letter returned). Perhaps it's mainly a tuckshop for the pupils on the Hill. I personally think it would be better if Shaws gave way to a more useful grocery shop that enabled top up shopping to save driving to a supermarket
