I have always wanted to visit and finally made it on this trip to London from the US...Absolutely worth the visit. A unique toy shop, especially for those who love theatre and paper creations. I bought more than I planned to because I couldn't resist! Many theatre kits are between £10-£30 with some higher priced items for theatrical devotees and lower priced items for those just looking for a curious card or souvenir. A couple of my purchases (a Vivaldi, Victorian style hand-crank music box and a wooden Commedia puppet theatre) already look right at home beneath my Christmas tree...If you love theatre and puppetry, this is definitely a shop to see. You won't find any "typical" toys, but rather a collection of imaginative kits and creations meant to inspire creative minds.

Cute little toy shop in Covent Garden. They specialize in pop up theatres. The lady at the counter, Roberta, was super nice and took the time to demonstrate how each of the toys worked and the history behind the store.

Love the pop-up cards here! They are so fun😊😊I bought one for a friend and then revisited another day to get one for myself.

Very kind store operators you can ever come across in your life. I have visited the store twice and it was always during the time of closing. They always ensured to let me in though I didn’t intend to buy anything in particular.

However, I can’t stop myself from visiting the store because it feels so magical to step in. I wish I knew the intricacies of puppeteers and the theatre world to enjoy the toys and other accessories they sell. But I’m sure I know where to go, if I need to get a unique and quirky gift for my thespian friends.

Very good shop, staff was very helpful and suggested me to select the proper gift (the Victorian era theater coloring and decorating kit) for my friend. The price is also within the acceptable range. If you like the Victorian era style, definitely worth a visit.

Loved browsing through this wonderful little shop. Quite the variety of unique gifts in such a small space. We bought a game and as gifts some pop out cards. Worth a look.

Absolutely love this shop.
It’s my first stop when I come to London.
Had a slot booked this week for me and my sister.
The service is second to none (Thank you Raphael )
During these testing times Benjamin Pollock’s is still continuing to keep the magic alive by opening the shop and keeping everyone updated via its website Facebook and instagram and I appreciate all the hard work that goes into that.
Benjamin Pollock’s is the Jewel of Covent Garden and long may it continue.

How can we NOT come here for the 1st stop in London!!! This is our 4th time here (also our forth time in London). Beautiful people and unique toys/arts are all over the place. If you are chatty, you will also bring back lots of interesting stories behind the scene like we do. What a magical spot to be!!!

The last stop on our day at Covent Garden. We went up expecting to see the standard "toy store" items. Not here. This place is a classic. Vintage Victorian era items all the way up to toy solders. The biggest plus, it's not a chain store. This is the only one - and it is, a one and only.

Such an interesting toy shop not cheap but some very unusal items. Staff very pleasant too. Look here for gifts for those interested in the theatre. Such unusal editions of classics. Almost too good for children!

Went here as a kid with my dad. Mr P and my dad were working on a project. As a result my sister and i would receive models to make up. The display theatre is one I did with my mum and a Victorian home with garden was another. Love the place and would defenatly go back.

Stepping in to the Benjamin Pollock's Toy shop is a moment getaway to a parallel universe with magic and mysteries, a jump of 150 years back in a time machine. The stairways are storytelling grim legend, and inside the shop paper-based mini theaters come to life along with toys that could have come come from a fairy tale easily. Very few true authentic places can be found today - Benjamin Pollock's is certainly one of these.

What makes Pollocks so special is that it seems part-museum. So you'll find finger puppets, masks and other pocket-money friendly toys amongst antique Victorian wind-up theatres and a ventriloquist dummy. The slightly musty smell and heavy carpet definitely adds to the appeal. It isn't sleek and shiny like other toy shops, and it's far too small for little children to run amok (they'd bump into a glass display case or something) but big kids will enjoy popping in and marvelling at the old-fashioned toys for a few minutes.

This is a great toy shop!
If you are looking for really nice and typical toys, this is the place for you.
You won't find commercial stuff here, only boutique toys, lot'of them handcrafted.

Always a step back in time to my childhood. Lots of quality traditional toys. As a theatre lover, I love the wooden theatre models.
