Piccolo negozio Sainsbury's con assortimento limitato. Non tiene il passo con il Tesco esattamente di fronte.

This Sainsbury is very small even for being a Local one. It's handy sometimes but just in front of this Sainsbury you have a Tesco that is 3 times bigger and 5 minutes walking from here you have a Sainsbury that's bigger and better than this one.

Appalling behaviour by staff! Popped in just now for a 75p pastry. Went to self service where staff member had been assisting customer and proceeded with my purchase whilst staff member was still standing by the till. The staff member then went down the back of the shop. Meanwhile another customer comes in the shop and waits at the tills. Not a member of staff to be seen. Do you have to ring a bell for service? Having made my purchase I look at the newspaper headlines and leave, still no staff and other customer still waiting. Then whilst eating my pastry walking back to Blackfriars station I hear some shouting and turn around to find the Sainsbury’s shop assistant chasing me down the street shouting at me that I haven’t paid. Full well knowing I had I return to the shop and am shown a - not uncommon - screen fault of some description - on another terminal in a different row of tills! Firstly I would like to point out that the shop assistant saw me arrive and saw me approach the self service till. Secondly, shouldn’t the shop assistants be on the shop floor assisting and serving customers? Thirdly, hasn’t Sainsbury’s spent a whole load of money recently installing sophisticated cameras on all of their self service tills in an attempt to catch out shoppers who don’t scan and pay for all of their goods? And finally, since when have Sainsbury’s shop staff been instructed to chase customers down the street and create huge embarrassment, leaving the shop unattended, all for a 75p pastry! It’s disgraceful.
I would like to point out that I had an equally bad experience shopping at the Sainsbury’s local in Blackfriars Bridge Road...
