I've gone today to this place to top up the electricity and I've never felt so bad treated never before.

As I came in I greeted and I left 8 pounds in coins of 1£, 2£ and 50p. I started to count the small coins that I had to make 2 pounds so it would be 10 pounds all together. I usually take lots of coins to these places as they are very grateful to provide them change for their businesses. The man who was there started to shout at me in very bad manners. This was the conversation:

-Man: What's that?
-Me: Coins for you. I am counting them to make 10 pounds.
-Man: Leave them (making a movement with his hand)
-Me: What do you mean? do you prefer 1 or 2 pounds coins?
-Man: 8 pounds!
-Me: I would like to top up 10 pounds.
-Man: Leave them (I stopped to count the coins on the counter and he started to count them by himself)

At this point he starts to mutter to himself, intimidating way. He said something which I didn't understand because his English was not very good and the bad way he was talking to me.

-Me: What's the problem? Don't you want pennies? I can give you a 2£ coin.

He didn't say anything, and I gave it to him this coin. He took it and topped it up. He gave me my card and he said: 'Thank you' looking down on me. I count the coins and there was 1£ and 95p. So I pull out from my pocket a 5p coin that I had among others to show it to him and I asked him if it was so difficult to talk properly to a customer to let him know what's happening.

At the beginning I left the coins on the counter because he shouted at me and at the end he blamed me because I gave a wrong amount because he didn't let me count it? Where is the communication and the customer service here?

I went with coins to help someone to manage his business and he treats me as a criminal who 'wanna scam 5p' because he didn't let me to count it properly based on mistreatment and intimidation? I couldn't be more frustrated.
