If you’re looking for a gourmet independent grocery store that also does takeaway coffee in the heart of Clapham then look no further.

Trude’s has a wide range of high quality fruit, vegetables, cheese, tea, coffee beans, condiments, delicatessen meats, wine and a whole lot more.

If there was anything I wasn’t super impressed with it was the baked goods, which I found a bit unremarkable. Regardless, it is wonderful to see an old-fashioned store thriving on the high street.

A stone’s throw from Clapham Common Underground station, Trude’s is worth a visit even if you don’t live in the area. And if you’re planned a luxury picnic on Clapham Common on a sunny day this is 100% the place to go.

Lovely new addition to Clapham Common. This little grocer has all the essentials you need - organic and quality. All the selections are well curated, and you can find nice gift items too (in particular, chocolate). The staff are super friendly... Check it out, it’s a great place to go treat yourself.

Excellent selection of some of the finest food producers from the UK and beyond. I love the bakery counter too; a must-visit spot in Clapham.

High quality essentials. The shop always very clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and coffee is really good.

I love going to this local independent business! The staff (Jennifer, Taylor & Sophia to be precise) and products are excellent as every business who charges premium prices should be. I often go to Trude's on the weekend and always have a lovely experience. Their bread, cheese and fruit are extremely good. I often buy their blood oranges and clementines and the difference between shops like Waitrose or Sainsbury's is night and day. Why buy four plums from South Africa (which taste like water) and pay £1 than buy four Italian oranges (which are full of flavour) for £4.80? I would rather line Trude's pockets than these soulless, giant supermarkets!

I went to the Old Post Office Bakery to buy my bread and I wish I hadn't have wasted my money and bought it here instead! Lesson learned...

I urge one and all to support this local business and will do my best to ensure they stay in business for years to come.

Great selection or organic veg and fruit. Kale and spinach superb. Refil options for Olive oil, eggs and coffee. Very helpful staff. Very good layout and space for my wife who uses a mobility scooter. Thoroughly recommend.

Super new grocery store, Love the Monmouth coffee I bought, it’s smooth and strong. So many things I want to go back and try. They have a refillable dry goods section that caught my eye and snazzy ice creams.
Friendly staff who were happy to make suggestions. Great addition to the high street. Will be back soon to try a sandwich ice cream!!!

Friendly staff, good selection of produce and chocolate

Popped in this morning for the first time, really nice staff and shop. Fresh veggies (most of them from Italy) at good price and a lovely selection of croissants and bread. I'll definitely be back, strongly recommend! 😍

Good selection of high-end deli items - cheeses, cured meats, some raw meat and fish. Decent selection of fresh veg as well, and they also stock fresh pasta. Nice assortment of chilled beer, wine, and cider available to take away.

been here a couple of times for coffee, great friendly staff. Erin who normally serves me on weekdays is super friendly. Good wine selection. Highly recommended for quality produce!

Addition of this new local grocer at Clapham Common feels truly like a Christmas present. Beautiful produce, top quality and accessible prices (especially given the quality!), and very friendly service. What I love about it the most is that it's practically a one stop shop. Fruit, Veg, smallgoods, Neal's Yard cheeses, and some French favourites, smallgoods, wonderful meats (you really must try their flat iron steak), fish, bakery and even coffee to go. I loved that I could get Alex to preorder me a whole fish for baking. I also love the fact that I now don't have to go to Borough Market for cheeses, proper mozarella buffala or chanterelles. Honestly, if they continue in this vein, and inventory grows a bit, why would one shop in supermarkets?! I have, in fact, cancelled my next week's big name delivery service, and shopped here instead. Tip: if you come at the end of the day a lot of baked goods from that day are half price.

I really enjoy coming here. The produce is lovely and the staff are all very friendly. I get my milk refill here every week.

It’s certainly earned it’s spot on clapham pavement

This is a wonderful shop! Love all the produce that they stock, so many incredible brands like Pump Street Chocolate, Neals Yard Cheese, El Navarrico, etc etc. And then restaurant meal kits, delicious pastries and a great selection of beer/wine.

Lockdown life saver. Absolute delight every time. Great range of cheese, wine, high end cook at home meals, and lots of other nice things. Fantastic bread, great coffee.

Trude's specialises in high quality products, and is a little pricer than Waitrose.

We go there every other morning with my girlfriend and the cappuccino is very good and cheaper than most places around. Staff is nice as well
