Bella Sicily

You wouldn’t expect to find a gem like Bella Sicily hidden in a Scottish Boarder Town like Jedburgh, but this culinary surprise is real. We had the unique takes on fish, pizza, calzone, pasta, steak,… everything is just outstanding. The proprietor and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, just perfection. I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough. A real find!

The food is excellent, enjoyed absolutely everything that we ate.
The service was excellent, the owners were really nice and open for a chat!
Highly recommend coming here if you're passing by or visiting Jedburgh. I definitely will be back!

Great food and lovely atmosphere.
Very friendly and professional staff . Great food and excellent service . The head chef 👩‍🍳 came to our table and asked if everything was OK. It was a very busy time. It was fully booked, but he managed to find a few minutes to sit down beside me and introduce himself and rest of the team.

Our hosts were friendly and welcoming. The food was cooked fresh, as you would expect, and was delicious. The service was faultless and I enjoyed the decor and general ambience.

An unexpected piece of Sicily in Jedburgh.
Really authentic, high quality Sicilian cuisine. The rosemary focaccia we had for starters was delicious, as were the clam spaghetti and beef pappardelle. Service was friendly and efficient. We will happily go back the next time we're in the area.

As a single tourist walk-in for lunch, I never know what to expect. The team in Bella Sicily put me on an okay table with a good view of the body of the Kirk, on a medium busy afternoon, so that was good. The restaurant is bright and clean, but with a real Italian character and the staff were attentive. As this was a quick lunch on the move, I ordered spaghetti vongole with a low alcohol beer. Both of which arrived promptly.

As my eyes were bigger than my belly, I ate too quickly, and I had a problem with food stuck in my throat. The team were helpful and sympathetic, at one point warming my food when I had spent some time recovering. This was a fantastic and attentive service and I thank the team.

I like the simple menu - this is clearly a crew that knows what works best for their customers and the chef to deliver the best food - certainly, the vongole were sweet and the spaghetti had a nice bite that was reminiscent of the Veneto.

I didn't manage a desert, but a hot, strong and sweet espresso set me on my way for the afternoon.

Definitely one to come back to!

My partner and I stopped here last night on our way to Edinburgh and were really pleased to find such lovely food and open so late!
Both our meals were fantastic and staff were friendly. Atmospheric restaurant.

Certain customers seemed confused about the absence of custard from an Italian menu however this was managed gracefully by staff.

The food was out of this world!
I had Cozze Bella Sicily ( mussels ) They were steamed to perfection and as fresh as you can get, followed by risotto langoustine again fresh and cooked to perfection.
The tiramsu was just the ticket to finish an amazing meal.

I'd definitely return.

Fabulous Italian restaurant, food was exceptional.

The service was amazing, their waiters/waitresses were so attentive to our needs.

Most amazing Italian meal in Jedburgh this evening. Lovely welcome and food was fantastic! Best bruschetta ever and amazing lobster cannelloni with prawns. Highly recommended!

I have eaten here a couple of times recently having needed to be in Jedburgh for family reasons, and I can genuinely say that Bella Sicily is one of those wierd gems where the quality of the food, service and atmosphere seem to be completely at odds with the location. Jedburgh is a lovely place but not where I would expect to find the best Italian family restauraunt I have ever enjoyed in the UK. They seem to love what they do and I can’t recommend it enough.

We really enjoyed our meal here -a family run restaurant where everything (including the pasta) is freshly made by the owner so it tastes delicious! Lovely, attentive and quick service and a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back if I was ever in Jedburgh again.

Bella Sicily in Jedburgh is a fantastic find! From the delicious food to the brilliant service, it was a truly enjoyable dining experience.

We opted for the Guancia di Manzo (beef cheek) and Pizza Bella Sicily for our mains. The beef cheek was melt-in-your-mouth tender, accompanied by perfectly seasoned vegetables - the tender stem broccoli had a lovely garlic and chilli kick to it. The pizza was a gorgeous combination of a flavourful sauce and a light, delicious base.
We couldn't resist indulging in desserts, and both the white chocolate cheesecake and tiramisu were lovely .The cheesecake was subtly sweet and very moreish, while the tiramisu was rich and bursting with flavour.
The staff at Bella Sicily were top-notch. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive, offering excellent recommendations throughout the meal. She was a true asset to the restaurant! The barman was also super friendly and chatty, adding to the warm atmosphere. The front of house staff were welcoming and efficient, and a visit from the chef to check on our satisfaction was a lovely touch.

The atmosphere at Bella Sicily was lovely and friendly. It was a great place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal with company.

Authentic Sicilian cuisine to a high standard. The staff are passionate and care and offer a warm welcome. I'm not normally a wine guy but took a punt and was pleseantly surprised. We've been a few times but I'd note it often seems fully booked on the weekend, so it's worth booking / ringing ahead.

We really enjoyed the homemade lasagna which just melted in your mouth along, with the gnocchi and it’s wonderfully flavoured sauce! Too bad we were just visiting or we would become regulars!

We stoped into town and went in to what looked like the only open restaurant only to find it's some of the best Italian meals I have had since moving to England absolutely fantastic!

Had a fantastic meal tonight out celebrating my girlfriend's 25th birthday weekend, I had the lamb shank and she had the Milanese risotto, both absolutely perfect and some of the best Italian food we have ever had. Top notch service from Danilo! He is really friendly, charming, knowledgeable and is a very welcoming atmosphere that will make you feel as if you are in the culinary heart of Sicily. The Melazane Parmigiana was a mind blowing starter, and I had Panettone for dessert. I highly recommend and we will be back to Jedburgh for second helpings!!
