Taj Tandoori Jedburgh

I explained to the owner i was 3 days out of hospital with key hole surgery, but had to have my favourite dish chicken korma, so I ordered the "Healthy option", Mmmm Delicious , still feeling a bit sore and a few light bags to carry home I asked if I could have my meal delivered, but to my surprise he not only delivered my meal but my groceries and me safety home and brought meal and groceries to my door step for the delivery of £3 only, I would say that this must go beyond customer service, Thank You Taj Tandoori. Very kind and considerate of you my meal was delicious and service was second to none. Very Happy costomer. 😊

Excellent fresh food, not too oily. We had a selection of vegan side dishes, coconut rice and chapattis, with chana chaat and onion bhajis to start. Really great and very clean. And friendly service too. Highly recommended.

We had a perfect meal. Food was good value with great service and staff so helpful. What made the night perfect was quite by chance it was the 25th Anniversary of the business and we were treated to a bottle of Prosecco with the mealscs and a box of chocolates as we left. This was a very kind gesture as we are not particular local but will certainly be calling again when we travel your way.

Great food and plenty of choice.

Freshly prepared, flavoursome and very well priced food. Prawn puri starter was particularly good, and the lamb shashlik - big portion of tender marinated lamb plus veg on a sizzling hot plate.

Firstly I’d like to thank the Forrester’s Arms who were full - because there was no choice (Bank Holiday Monday) we reluctantly booked at the Taj Tandoori and to our delight we could not be more pleased with the delicious meal we had. Lovely and fresh. Very tasty. In spite of the fact they were very short staffed the service was friendly and welcoming.

Loved this place. Service was great and so was the food - dead reasonably priced too. Good range of vegetarian dishes. Would definitely go back.

Fantastic food pleasant helpful staff. One of the best Indian meals wev had. We have actually been going to this Indian restaurant for many years. Would highly recommend 👌

A super meal. The decor has really changed since our last visit ( on holiday last year) and the new decoration is very contemporary. It looks fantastic.

This is a great place, food is served quickly and hot, only down side for me the atmosphere is not as good due to the flooring making the place sold echoey, not the best for people hard of hearing.

Really nice curries and excellent customer service. Jedburgh feels a bit run down but well worth coming here. The waitress /surgeon was great fun!

Spent 6 days doing the NC 500 and made Jedburgh the last night stop before home, having eaten lots of 'full Scottish' breakfasts and pub meals I really fancied something different and 'boom! ` perfect finish to a 2000 mile trip.
Poppadoms and pickles, onion bhaji and prawn puri followed by a mixed meat Jalfrezi, chicken tikha masala, mushroom rice and garlic naan, could not fault a thing, even the young girl serving was fantastic, at 59 years old I've eaten at many many Indian restaurants and this is with the top 3 👌🏻
I will definitely be back when I'm this way again!

Quiet in evening but friendly table service and lovely curries, veggie and lamb, lemon rice and plain naan.

Last minute choice with 3 friends after 14 mile walk from St Boswells, all happy with the decision - delicious, fresh, tasty south Asian food, tandoor working in good order. Fair prices, friendly staff, excellent evening
