Great little shop ! I went today first time and I’m very happy i did ! Lots of rescues in my home now getting new life also the gentleman give me such a good prices for them I’m very pleased and I’ll be back for more ! Who doesn’t love a good sale ! Absolutely recommend to any plants lovers out there , very good prices and good selection indoor and outdoor plants he also get you what you want if it’s not available in shop ! Thank you so much :)

Its always good to shop local and you know you are getting a personal service for some who is passionate about this stuff, its quite incredible for such a tiny wee shop to have such a density and variety of plants.

Quirkys became an essential part of my "New me, new life" journey - not to be dramatic, I had to move and move into a place all by myself. Rather than be alone, I decided to get plants. Quirkys has been absolutely amazing in helping me supply not just plants and pots but also advice and wisdom.

Sure, it's not a massive garden centre. It's a wee store that's charismatically full of flowers and plants on North Junction Street, but the selection is surprisingly extensive. As you'd expect, it's house plants you'll get here, which means plants suitable for many different light levels.

I've not bought a bad plant from Quirkys yet, and I've bought many over the last few months. I started small, literarily, with little succulents which are happy with a newbie like me, trying not to overwater them and get on with growing themselves. I've moved up in ambition too, getting advice from the shop and buying larger plants. Spoiler: I've not always been successful, but I've not regretted trying, and I discuss my failures in store, learn from them and try again.

Why do I buy so many? I think my green purchases are because Quirkys is a helpful place to visit, but the deals are a factor too! It's often the case that if I buy one plant, it makes sense to buy another and combo-up. Quirkys is really cost-conscious.

So, in summary; a petite store in Leith with plants and flowers to match really cost-effective and fantastic help. This is a review from a plant parent newbie, so keep that in mind, but my experience of Quirkys was great on week 1 of "New life, new me", and it's still great months later.

Great first experience visiting Quirky’s. The owner is lovely and helped me pick from their wide selection of succulents for a terrarium.

An amazing selection of plants and such friendly and helpful service, got a selection of plants and a couple of little succulent types and some cat grass. I’m never growing my own cat grass again as far better value to get it from Quirkys. Will be my go to for all plants from now on, already thinking about what I’d like to add to my collection next. Everyone should shop local as much better knowledge and prices than big chain companies. I’m happy with my purchases and my cats very happy with her present too.

Love these guys! I discovered them by coincidence at the Leith Market one Saturday morning and have been visiting them every week ever since. They're always friendly and happy to have a look at my plants at their shop. Sadly I'm unable to visit their shop on a more regular basis as I'm usually at work when they're open.

Such a lovely shop specialising in miniature plants to suit all budgets. Absolutely delighted with my purchases. There are both indoor & outdoor plants as well as a selection of quirky pots. Brilliant place if you’re looking for a present. It’s my go-to plant shop now.

Really helpful and good prices. Bought a few indoor pla ts from here and they have all survived well. Highly recommended.

Quirkys is a wonderful wee shop in Leith. It has such a wide selection of super cool wee pants and other wee things to make even the tiny spaces in a home just that much warmer.
l local vibe with its one of a kind wee plants shop is so what Leith is all about. Its always worth a stop in to see whats growing on.

They seem to always have new Quirky things to put a grin on your chin.

A great way to get the jump on Spring

Of all the plant and garden shops in Edinburgh, Quirky's stands out, and not just for the name. There is a fantastic variety of plants and accessories, competitive prices, and the shop benefits from a charming and knowledgeable owner who takes pride in his passion.

I am blessed to have this little gem of a shop near my home,
but I would happily cross town to pick up a new plant, a bag of soil and some cat grass.
And to get advice about a suitable compost or fertilizer.
Just a great little shop :)

I love coming in to this great shop just across the road from me as there is a wide variety of plants to choose from. Very friendly and welcoming place to have a browse and buy affordable plants. Great service and owner always happy for a chat and some tips how to look after the plants properly. Definitely with a visit!

I started building a plant collection several months ago after reading about this plant shop.
Quirky has a wonderful selection of houseplants to choose from and is very helpful with advice on the care of those plants and if there is a particular plant that you want which is not in stock the owner will do his very best to get it for you.
I highly recommend a visit .

Fantastic little place, packed (literally ) with amazing plants at incredibly reasonable prices! Rare finds and unique little bits and bobs too. Well worth a visit and the re potting service saves so much time ( and mess!). Highly recommend

Great! wee shop full of some beautiful lovely plants! - the owner is super helpful too- would strongly recommend this little gem of a place in the heart of Leith- have shopped here a few times and always well satisfied- especially my latest edition a "Prayer Plant"
