Slater Menswear Edinburgh

I visited the Edinburgh store today in search for my first suit for a wedding this year! The staff were all very lovely and very friendly but the woman who helped pick out my suit was absolutely amazing! Sam was so kind and respectful of my pronouns, and always checked in with me when she had to make any alterations! She was amazing and made the whole experience so memorable so thank you very much Sam! Before visiting I was so nervous about what people might think/say about myself looking for a suit as a non binary person and she made the whole experience so easy and comfortable!
Would HIGHLY recommend any LGBT+ person looking for a suit to come here!
I would love to see some more pictures of more androgynous/non-binary models as you enter/on the website to draw in the LGBT+ community and reflect the openness and acceptance of the staff in store.

Great place, staff are always on the ball. Could do with putting prices down a bit and also a few discounts from the price. Used to get at least 5% or 10% if you asked really nice. But these days, the staff say we don't even get a discount!! Tut tut.
What ever happened to a couple of perks.

But always has something that you like and always has your size. If it doesn't fit, they will fix that for you in a very short time.

Used slaters a few times and their service is always second to none.

Needed a Tux for an event and as always parking on George street is brutal - made it in and out, tux, shoes, shirt and bow tie in hand with no parking ticket on my car.

Thankfully, this place stocks quality clothing for the larger framed person. They will do measurement and alterations for a reasonable price and will complete them in a timely manner for pick-up a few days later. My new go-to shopping experience.

Just want to say a huge thank you to Samantha who looked after me on October 25th. I arrived to the shop at 9am looking to buy a suit for my Graduation that day at 11am. Samantha was very helpful. I got measured and chose a suit. They even turned up the trousers for me and had them ready in less than 5 minutes. Great store, I work around the corner and always go here for my suits and other clothes that i need, the team are incredibly helpful, and they have a great selection of all clothes. Peter the manager is a true gent as well.

This place is awesome. Whereas I've always found issues for myself when younger and for kids, buying tiny 36" chest suits - slaters do 34"!

They are absolutey THE place to go for suits for prom or first job interview. Well easy on the pocket too. (who wants to shell out on a suit they'll grow out of in a year or so?)

Very helpful staff. When my luggage didn't arrive from the States, I needed a backup plan for a wedding in Fife. Luckily this was the first place I checked out. I bought a slick three-piece suit at a great price and the salesmen were professional and quick about it. They even had my pant legs tailored on the spot. Ace crew over there!

Have a good selection although the layout is a bit weird. The staff member I spoke to was great, got me sized up in minutes and took me right to the section I needed and gave me a few options that fitted my tastes. Wish I'd got his name, tall slim short haired young guy. Brilliant customer service.

I need also to praise all the staff at this shop. They were very skillful and I am happy with the suit for the black tie dress code wedding ceremony.

The alteration of the trousers was with no extra cost and prices for the brands were better, than elsewhere.

What an amazing team they have at Slaters. This was my second time using their service for a suit, my first being at least 10 years ago, and I'm happy to say that the level of customer service hasn't slipped an inch in all that time.

The staff are friendly, quick to help, incredibly knowledgeable and helped to make the process of finding a suit in my size (I'm not a small guy) a very smooth and easy process. They even tailored the leg of my trousers in half an hour as I had a funeral to attend the next day.
