White Lion Hotel

Didn’t stay over as a local person who had Easter Day lunch here, as we also had our Christmas Day here.
Hotel has been recently renovated and has a comfortable atmosphere, serves brilliant food and friendly efficient service.
Well done and thank you to the new owners and staff and wish you all the very very best.

I would like to thank The owners of the White Lion Hotel for their hospitality, service and the local people for their hospitality. We called in to watch the rugby and a bite to eat everyone was so nice and friendly, service was second to none. We booked our breakfast the next morning it was so nice Michelle, Michael and family were so accommodating and couldn’t help enough. On leaving we called in to say thanks we were invited back anytime. I would highly recommend the White Lion Hotel in Upton upon Severn a really nice place a lovely scenic area. Thanks to everyone. Overnight stay at the White Lion was excellent and expectations as described. Full of the kind of character you would expect in a building of its age. The service from staff was excellent, friendly and nothing too much trouble however the icing on the cake was the meal we ate in
the restaurant. Steaks cooked to perfection, first class and top marks to the chef. Can highly recommend.

Havent stayed but had sunday lunch. Great food service and value. Thoroughly recommend. Will come again. Thanks very much

We stopped at Upton on the way back from Herefordshire, and ordered an excellent Sunday roast dinner. We sat in lovely surroundings by the real fire. Absolutely brilliant staff. They were very friendly! We will definitely come again! Highly recommend.

Only went in for a drink. Very nice inside, great service and the drink prices were very reasonable.

While home in Upton for a visit from Australia & staying with my parents we were invited for Lunch on Saturday 09/04/22 to attend the White Lion Hotel by my parents neighbour & her family to celebrate my mum's birthday & my parents recent Blue Sapphire 65th Wedding anniversary. The meal service was excellent mostly served by Richard, great menu choice & the meals were well cooked & large portion size meals, soft & alcoholic drinks in-between, & a few of us decided on choosing a delicious dessert.
A relaxed friendly atmosphere & made very welcome by staff.
Highly recommend a visit to dine, not able to comment about the accommodation considering neither of us needed to stay here living locally.

It's just a short drive to The Three Counties Showground. A really nice oldy worldy pub, with probably the best breakfast and evening meals we've ever had! Our room decor was a little tired, but it was clean and had everything we needed. Having the car park was brilliant - they let me squeeze my extra large van in there every night! We would definitely love to stay again :-)

We celebrated our ruby wedding anniversary here. Has a brilliant weekend - stayed in the courtyard. Very old hotel - decor does reflect it but it’s well worth a visit. Staff go the extra mile to help and can’t do enough for you. Breakfast was amazing and the meal we had in the restaurant was top notch. Highly recommend you give it a go - worth every penny.

The White Lion Hotel, Upton upon Severn, Worcestershire is a very good place to go for a drink or meal. The service is very good.

After being flooded, my wife and I have just spent a month staying at The White Lion Hotel, Upton. The staff are all very hard working and helpful, including the owners. The food as far as I'm concerned, is nothing short of Michelin Star quality. I have tried everything on the menu and can say it's all absolutely delicious. Yes the hotel needs a makeover, but don't let that put you off. Top quality and even better value for money. Thank you all for making us feel so welcome and at home. A lovely stay in the White Lion, Upton on Severn. We stayed in one on the courtyard rooms, specious and comfortable. A great evening meal and generous breakfast. Staff are wonderful, very helpful and friendly. The hotel is over 500 years old, quirky and interesting.

Chris and her team of lovely attentive staff were so welcoming and very
thoughtful. I would highly recommend. Value for money, food was superb. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Added bonus dog friendly. My poodle loved it there. Thank you all so much.

The White Lion is just perfect!

The quaint but traditional White Lion has great character, and is situated in the heart of the town.

I found the food to be of a high standard and presentation, and made with a lot of thought and care, for a very good price.

But most of all the service is second to none and this helps the White Lion shine above everything else.

I would highly recommend? Make the White Lion your destination when heading to Upton and Malvern.

We were welcomed at the door, and a handwashing station was conveniently placed. Taken to a very comfy seating area, we had pre-dinner drinks. On to our table and we were safely seated. The meal was delicious, I had the lamb rump main. Off menu, chef rustled up a fab icecream sundae for my dessert. Friendly professional staff were unobtrusively present. I can wholeheartedly recommend this venue. Safe layout, safe practices.

Lovely 16th century hotel in nice old street right near the river. Staff friendly, rooms clean & tidy.

Our Christmas Dinner was delicious. The atmosphere is lovely too. A very cosy and warm place to share a drink and food on a cold Christmas day.

Great place to stay.I was working in Upton and stayed here for a few nights. Great sleep in a comfortable bed, lovely full English breakfast in the morning. Very attentive staff and all round good service. Jamie was especially helpful in making our stay as nice as possible. Would thoroughly recommend this place if ever in Upton.

Really helpful staff who went out of their way to make us welcome. Lovely traditional rooms. A good feel to the hotel. Would stay again. Great position with car parking.
