Great post office and Store ! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We have now lived in the village for almost 2 years. So happy to have such a great post office and stores on our doorstep. Fabulous & friendly staff who always have time to say hello and an efficient post office service too, including being a local hub to take in our parcels if we’re not going to be home etc. The store has a great selection of cards and gifts too, like pretty notepads etc, as well as all the papers, magazines, alcohol etc and other provisions you’d expect in a local store - as well as some more specialist items like spices and sauces etc and much more including lunchtime Hot jacket potatoes etc! Prices are reasonable- reflecting quality, choice, local suppliers and convenience- including weekly meat deliveries and even a Dry cleaning service! Feel very lucky to have such a great shop just a stroll from home! Thanks Sarah and the team! Julia & Peter x

This fab little shop has everything you need. We moved here 10 months ago and I was concerned that the shop would be overpriced and we would need to jump in the car to get the essentials. However I was delighted to find that they offer the ‘ normal’ priced items and some fabulous locally produced higher end products too. The staff have been friendly and welcoming to us. Post office staff knowledgeable. All in all they have proved to be the perfect village shop !

This is a fantastic village store. It is so difficult to compete with the supermarkets as I know only too well ,having run this gem of a shop with my husband for many years. Sarah and her brilliant staff open the door every day with a warm welcome , great customer service, an amazing selection of stock at extremely competitive prices. Thank you for continuing to provide such a valuable asset to a much loved community.

I love this little shop. I give it 5 stars for the variety of products and great service.
They even saved my bacon at Christmas when I left it last minute to get an advent calendar for the kids. Luckily these guys had them in stock, as well as some great seasonal treats etc.

It's handy having the instant coffee machine and the takeaway jacket potatoes are so good.

I'm a crisp monster and I can confidently say that this shop has the best variety of crisps in the area.

Overall this is a great little shop and post office, and I'll always use it when passing.

A local village shop for me. Staff in the shop and Post Office couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful. Quality of products is excellent. I have seen a comment regarding prices - it’s a village shop? Drive to the next one and pay an extra £5 in fuel and heaven knows how much more in your wasted travel time! 5 star all day long for me!

A great little village shop, I pop in quite a lot and everyone that works there is so friendly and welcoming. There’s a great selection of products and you can generally find the bits and bobs you need. I like that they stock a lot of local produce too so we can support the local companies.
Little touches like stocking duck food so my little one can feed the ducks opposite is lovely too. I’m always happy to support such a great little shop with a friendly team :)

As a frequent user of Hanley Swan Store and Post office, usually at least twice a week, can I draw attention to what a great store it is. Quality food, excellent Post Office service and superb friendly service. Can’t think why anyone would feel the wish to be critical of any part. On top of that, I also have my leg pulled regularly. It is a genuine gilt edged asset to the village.

What a great store. Staff very friendly and such a wide range of goods. Someone posted that prices were exorbitant but this is not my experience at all. Prices are good and sometimes even beat mainstream supermarkets. Well done Sarah and staff, we appreciate your tremendous efforts.

Everything you want from a village shop, and more. Lots of services like dry cleaning and a great Post Office counter. Interesting foods like really high quality naan's and chutneys, super high quality meat from local farms (sausages and steaks are top notch but can sell out fast), speciality cheeses, plus all the food staples, mags, cards and stationary. Good selection of ales and wines. Also have pop-up takeaway food events! Sarah and the team always cheerful , helpful and hard working. Along with The Swan gives a centre and a soul to the village.

One of the best village stores for miles!! Stocks all of the the essentials at reasonable prices plus loads more besides! It's the Aladdins cave of village stores!! Super lovely staff and efficient post office service. Somebody complained about the price of the bread, they sell a local bakerys goods and yes it is a bit more expensive but very well worth it. Also someone complained about not enough choice of cakes, pastries or ice cream............its a village store not Morrisons!!! Since this store has been taken over by the lovely Sarah it has been turned into a little gem of a shop. Highly recommended.

Having a shop within walking distance was an essential criterion for moving here several years ago and the Hanley Swan Village Stores and Post Office has way exceeded my expectations. Not sure how they manage to pack in such a range of stock as well as being a mine of local information!

Great Local village shop and post office. It is a huge asset to Hanley swan. Very well stocked with lovely local produce and other necessities. The staff are really friendly and prices are very competitive
