The Kings Head

Very nice outside and in. Good service by very busy lady behind the bar. Coffee and cake were excellent. The interior was very interesting.
Today I had the delicious vegan 3 bean chilli with jumbo chips and salad. The barman was very funny. He had everybody giggling.

While visiting my parents in Upton Upon Severn from Australia we had a family get together Lunch Time meal at The Kings Head in celebrating my parents Blue Sapphire 65th Wedding Anniversary on 30/03/22 & dad's 92nd birthday the same day. Excellent friendly service & excellent food & we had arranged a special anniversary cake made elsewhere.
Meals were very reasonable in price & a good meal choice selection from the menu planner.

Stopped by chance here and 6 of us had a delicious Sunday roast, all home made with fresh veg, and fruit picked from their garden made into crumble for dessert. Excellent friendly service and very reasonably price, also fantastic destination alongside the river! Definitely would recommend a visit here!!

Visited today on the way home from Tewkesbury and it happened to be the village folk festival. Despite it being very busy, the staff were extremely accommodating in managing to get a table set up for us. They are very dog friendly and our pup loved having a fuss from the staff. My son was also very happy having new people make a fuss of him too.
The food was excellent and we cannot recommend the cheeseburger or the venison sausages enough! The cheeseburger in particular was thoroughly enjoyed. The prices are excellent value - £9 for a freshly made, very good quality cheeseburger, chips and salad, and equally priced venison, mash and gravy, and (freshly cooked honey roast) ham egg and chips.
We would 100% recommend and we will be returning in the future.

Lovely river side pub

We visited the pub as a family on Friday afternoon for lunch, when my son in law was suddenly took ill. I would like to thank the staff for all their help, they were amazing. We all had a lovely meal at a really good price & we would visit again.

The two of us enjoyed a delightful seafood salad for lunch with a bowl of chips in a pleasant riverside courtyard. Friendly staff, prompt service and very decent prices. We will definitely be going back.

What a lovely pub. It wasn't very busy when we visited but had a lovely friendly atmosphere and the food was great. We will definitely be coming back for more!

Lovely dog friendly pub serving possibly the best pint of Butty Bach I have tasted. Friends recommend Weston's Vintage Cider if you're a cider drinker. Friendly helpful staff trying to cope with the hordes of people who are here for the Blues Festival Weekend and still smiling 😂 Well done to you all. Highly Recommended

Great wee pub next to the river with my favourite beer on tap.

Havent eaten here, drinks only. Reasonable prices, nice pub, with outdoor seating next to river Severn, lovely views.

We looked in today (Bank Holiday Sunday) for an impromptu drink and bite to eat, and were glad to have happened upon the courtyard to the pub for a late lunch. As with previous reviews, Sunday lunch was on offer, and we were more than impressed with the quality and quantity of meal for money! Staff were attentive too, with the added benefit of being dog friendly. Look forward to returning - thank you to the team.

Had a lovely meal here tonight, really lovely restaurant. I had the chicken and mushroom pie with mash, my husband had the double burger with an extra side of onion rings (these were so crispy, loved them), our daughter had the sausage and chips basket and all of it was great. The service was particularly good, the lad behind the bar was attentive, friendly and added to a great experience :)

We had a great meal here. The owners are very friendly and the food, drinks, and dessert were so good.

Good selection of beers

Very good food and value for money. 4 of us eat at the Kings head , not planed and totally off the cuff one lunch time. My wife and I had lasagne and our friends had rump steak. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Its not very often we ear such a large meal at lunchtime. Sat by the river, served by very efficient and friendly staff.
If we are in the area again, we will certainly will go there for a meal.
