Just returned home after a lovely weekend at the Carpenters Arms. Our stay in one of the garden rooms was perfect. Lovely room, delicious food and drink and really fab and friendly staff made it a very special weekend away. Took our little dog who also loved it! Would 100% recommend.

We took advantage of the lovely autumn weather and decided to do a short walk from Felixkirk and afterwards had lunch at the Carpenters Arms.
We were both immediately impressed with the quiet and beautiful location with far reaching views.
The interior of the pub was warm and inviting, clean and well decorated throughout.
We were greeted by a lovely young lady who showed us to our table which overlooked the rear garden and a grand view.
We ordered our food, the pie of the day and the pork belly, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed and will certainly have again.
The staff were friendly and happy to help.
Overall a great dining experience and location.

Great place, stayed overnight a while ago & room was fantastic. It's in a tiny hamlet so not everyone's cup of tea. Food very good, nice bar / dining area. Staff excellent

Fantastic pub! All the right ingredients; kid friendly, dog friendly, great food with a nice range of options, genuinely warm and friendly staff, fireplace (2), good value, the list goes on. Don’t sleep on this little gem!

Nestling in a beautiful village, this was a wonderful find which we used 3 times in one week. Each time the food was excellent . Well priced and of the highest standard. Dog friendly and with fabulous views from the terrace and gardens. We'll done to the Carpenter Arms you really made our guests and our holiday a wonderful experience.

We’ve just finished a weekend here, staying Friday night for a wedding at the Thirsk barns on the Saturday, then back on the Sunday morning for breakfast.

Amazing hospitality from start to finish, rooms are modern and nice, and the views are beautiful! They even held breakfast a little later for us as we were late leaving the wedding venue. Would definitely recommend & hopefully we’ll be back in the near future!

Dropped in to the Arms for lunch on the way back from visiting Malton. Hadn’t booked but was found a table for 4 without fuss. Nice place ordered drinks and food, 2 of us had fish and chips, one steak and ale pie and one beef burger with extra bacon. Soft drinks a pint of IPA and a large dry white wine. Food was delicious all served piping hot, the staff and team who greeted and served us were friendly and welcoming. The road signs advertising the pub may need highlighting a little more, we spotted them but I suppose if you’re local you know about it anyway. Nice place well worth stopping off for food.

Almost don't want to tell how good this pub is, I want it for myself, an absolute gem of a country pub in a setting that would make any jonny foreigner to live in the UK, staff excellent, food, as good as any I've ever tasted, can you believe dog beds so that your puppy doesn't have to lay on the flag stone floors, fire places everywhere.. Just superb.. Can't wait to go back.. 10 out of 10..

We have been a few times now always lovely. We recommend it to our friends so the six of us came for a birthday surprise for one of our friends we decorated the room for her getting there and surprise her. The other two couples we were with loved it! The place! the rooms! the staff! And most of all the food! Everyone enjoyed it my husband said it was the best steak he has ever had cooked exactly as he asked 😋 the breakfast was beautiful aswell. They all said they would definitely be back!
Thanks for a lovely stay x

Dainty hidden gem tucked away in Felixkirk…

The Korean Chicken starter was delicious!
The beef Sunday roast was tender, flavoursome and was hot when served too. The best roast I have had in recent memory 🤤

The Mango and chocolate delice w/ sorbet was incredible.

The staff were really nice and the seating is really comfortable too.

The view from the gardens at the back are 👌🏽

What a lovely place to eat, great service, brilliant food and a great setting. I had the Steak and Ale pie which I would totally recommend, my daughter had the kids katsu curry which she absolutely loved. First place I've been in a while where there were plenty of staff around to keep everyone happy and always with a smile

We love staying here as it’s very special to us, but we love the garden rooms and the team are so welcoming. The breakfast is always 10/10 and we never feel rushed. The views are amazing even on a wet day. Will 100% be back!
