We have just returned from an amazing 3 night stay in a Pear Tree Spa Lodge which comes with open plan bathroom and hot tub.
The park is lovely and peaceful, located in a great area to explore nearby Thirsk Northallerton Harrogate and York. There is a large Tesco and Lidl nearby as well as plenty of nice pubs and eateries. We loved the wildlife on site, including ducks, geese and goats at the onsite bar.
To address other reviews about the road to access the park, this is a country road so the surface is as you would expect,
however staff had filled all potholes on our arrival and driving at a low speed (required for wildlife anyway) caused no issues.
Staff were all very welcoming, friendly and professional and clearly work hard to make this a lovely place.
I highly recommend the onsite Spa where I treated myself to an amazing treatment with Nicole. Another recommendation is for the Magic Wok Chinese takeaway just down the road in Thirsk!
We had a fabulous stay, thank you so much we will definitely be back!

Beautiful location. Lovely cabin but cleaning could have been better. Was still rubbish from previous guests under sofa and rug. And lots of cobwebs in the lightshade.
Fountain was beautiful during the day but as we stayed I'm a newer build this time I was disappointed to see that it did not light up on an evening like the main fountain around the older cabins.

Stayed here for the past week with two young children on a last minute half term get away. Overall it's been a lovely stay so this is more of a 'what I'd hope to see if I came back' review!

Caravan:
The lodge/caravan was lovely, perfect for what we needed. I was worried by other reviews about cleanliness but ours was very well maintained. Hot tub was absolutely lovely with privacy screen and maintained daily. Kids bedroom was gorgeous and they felt so excited to sleep in such a cool room that had been designed with kids in mind. They found the child size bath and loo hilarious as they're both quite tall. There were a couple of things that I would love to see improved and they are so menial but would be handy!

- Scissors! There's everything from tiny ramekins to oven gloves in the kitchen but no scissors!
- Loo roll! I know this is self catering but more than one loo roll would have been useful. Just one spare for when you forget to buy them and run out at 3am 😅
- Basic cleaning products & a simple hoover! Hard to keep it clean with just water and a cloth and don't want to buy a whole cleaning armoury for one week. Maybe next time I should think ahead and bring some from home!

The facilities:
I didn't really look what was available before we came, was really just looking for somewhere to chill out and this place was ideal. The pool is nice and the soft play is big enough for an mad half hour while I enjoyed a coffee. But...

- the activities are really expensive for what they are. It's fab to have so many things to do but £8.50 per child to make slime or go on a bug hunt seems really steep! For the price, I would expect excellence and unique experiences with specialist animators. Though the staff running the kids events were lovely.
- it was disappointing that the swimming times were so limited. I understand they had public swimming lessons afterwards however after paying £500 for a week I would expect to have access to the pool in the early evening too after a day out. Have never stayed at a holiday park where we can only use the pool up until 3pm.

Staff:
Staff were all lovely. Food and drink in the cafe was great. Always friendly, welcoming and ready for a quick chat which is so important for me when holidaying on my own with the kids!

Overall, lovely park, nice location to reach places like Harrogate, York and the Dales/Moors and would absolutely recommend for families!

We have just stayed in one of the lodges with our 2 dogs and all in all we had a great time and would recommend it. The lodge was spacious and clean, overlooking one of the lakes, the hot tub was well maintained and we were afforded sufficient privacy with the fence. The only negatives were the mattress had seen better days and we kept rolling to the middle and the lack of wifi.
The cafe and restaurant on site served a vast array of different dishes which were value for money

We stayed in a studio for 2 people it was lovely seemed fairly new. Only couple of little things toaster hadnt been cleaned still full of crumbs from previous people & inside oven door needed cleaning & hob needed a clean. Blinds on frosted glass window very dusty . Just the little touches but a lovely studio & will definitely go back. Hot tub was brill & a lovely decking area for sitting out & as the weather was good we ate outside a few times. Would highly recommend.
Friendly helpful staff & I treated myself to a spa pedicure which was fab & would highly recommend

Very easy to find and not to far from shops and riverside walks. The lodges are lovely and spacious and impecably clean. We took our dog along and stayed in a pet friendly lodge, you would never know other dogs had stayed in it. The hot tub was perfect for aches and pains to be eased, lovely and hot and serviced regulary to maintain cleanliness. All the staff were lovely and friendly. Plenty of facilities on site from fishing lakes, playgrounds, walks, swimming pool and spa's to a massive indoor play area, cafe, sports bar and arcade.
There is a small shop onsite also that sells some necessary essentials (and wine 😉). It's a lovely quiet site and we shall definately be retugning. Thank you for a very relaxing break away.

We stayed in pear tree, beginning of September, the lodge on arrival was very clean, read other reviews about facilities in the lodge not being adequate, like no kitchen towels or not enough toilet roll, towels ect, it is a lodge not a hotel, luckily 😉 I had brought all those extras as I'm not that daft to think I was going to be provided with those extras, overall it was very peaceful and quiet, we was provided with more than enough utensils, crockery ect to make meals, All clean and unmarked, we had however an issue late at night with not being able to fully close the doors to the decking area but they still locked, due to the temperature at the time was understandable, this was very quickly rectified when reported to the reception, the onsite handyman was very pleasant and polite, the onsite bar was well equipped with comfortable seating and was relaxing next to a small pond. WiFi worked great, logged into netflix no problems, phone signal good, the bed was comfortable and having a choice of a walk in shower and bath was a great added feature, no waiting for little mermaid to get out of the bath, we would definitely stay again 😀 👍

Nicest people you'll ever meet that are working here, we were only delivering caravans here and we were treated like royalty, we weren't paying customers so they didn't have to treat us as lovely as they did, it's nice to be at work and feel like your on holiday ☺ thanks again!

Highly recommend this place. Clean and tidy lodges surrounded by tries. Small kitchen that you can use in each lodge. Our hot tub was cleaned every day. Really nice place to rest. You can use the main pool in this price as well. Restaurant and spa on side. A lot of entertainment for kids. They have pets friendly lodges as well. They invest in new furniture. A lot of paths for walks around. That was a really nice holidays for us essentially that we could take our dog with us. Thank you so much.

Had a great time visiting Woodland Lakes Lodges, Jess was the team member who looked after all of the activities we enjoyed and she was excellent! When we did Zorbing all of the family were encouraged to get involved taking pictures, NERF gun shooting meant Mum was given a loaded gun to surprise the children, tie dye and slime were amazing....Jess really helped make the holiday.
Lodges were lovely and clean, only complaint being no hot water Monday morning as they used it all to clean hot tub-felt they should have waited until we had checked out to use the water up!!

Excellent surroundings for a stress free relaxing holiday ( ours had a rocky start but with help from receptionist Jordan with his excellent first aid skills, this was sorted) fishing a separate company £10 a day on any lake thats open.

Lodges were great situated right on the lakeside. Children loved feeding the ducks right from the decking. Pool facilities and kids soft play were excellent - with a nice cafe next to both. Our lodge had a hot tub which was spotless and was warmed up ready for our arrival. We will be returning in future.

Lovely place friendly people and staff
Made very welcome
Would suggest having a few recliners on the decking aswell as the seats and a parasol would be good for shade when the weather is hot

We are a family of 4 and stayed in lodge 100, Monday to Friday. It was very clean, well equipped, well maintained, and has a great veranda, with car parking almost at the door. All staff were friendly, we did target archery and disc golf onsite which we really enjoyed. The facilities are also good, enough to stop us getting bored. The Watermill restaurant, cafe and Harvey's sports bar are also a great option if you want to stay onsite for food and drink, I think if they offered a 10% discount for guests then they would be busier. We didn't do any fishing but it looks like a great setup. It's an ideal base for trips out, lots of things to do within 15 mins to an hour away. I recommend a trip to Adrenaline in Richmond and How Steen Gorge in Lofthouse, the hot tub was a welcome comfort after gorge walking in Lofthouse. We'll definitely go back.
