Lovely place 2 minutes from the mayhem of the A303 services at Ilminster.

Get away from the Costa and Burger King and go here instead.

Fabulous breakfasts and proper coffee with table service.

Dog friendly.

Such a lovely little cafe nestled in a quirky shopping courtyard.

Really beautiful inside. Particularly love the bench in the middle which displays a variety of salads and cakes. 😍

Service great and the food was delicious (really generous portion too which is always a win for me!).

The order:
French toast with geek yoghurt & berry compote - £11
Smoked haddock kedgeree - £12

My family and I love this venue. In fact, I have coffee here almost every day. When I can, I bring my kids and grandkids because it's such a relaxing place where the staff treat us so well. The breakfasts are delicious, as are the cakes and scones. Lunches, too, are well worth a visit and the staff are so considerate. If you need to break your journey to the West Country, do it here. You won't be disappointed.

Went with a friend to celebrate my birthday. Had an unusual cake - Ferrero Rocher cake. Had roasted hazelnuts in as well which made it crunchy. Had a Latte with it. Both of us had the cake. Tried to get a copy of the recipe but the chef said he had made it up with another recipe. Needs to sell his recipes for customers to buy. Had other cakes available. Prices reasonable. Would recommend.

This exceptional cafe is made so special by the front of house staff, so welcoming and friendly. The setting is stunning and we always have such yummy homemade food. My little 2 yr old boy is made to feel like a superstar. Such a gem of a place.

Delicious breakfast enjoyed by us all. Ingredients are of the highest quality, service was equally good. On the top end price wise however if this standard of food and service is maintained I have no complaint.

Reluctantly headed fir BK for a break in the journey home when we saw a sign for the Kitchen. Decided to investigate and very glad we did. Great little place. Friendly service, great food and great value for money. Beautiful surroundings and a chilled atmosphere. Don't hesitate to go here.

Hidden gem! We stopped off here on our way to and back from St Ives! We have a small baby and they are so family friendly. Really delicious, healthy menu, allergy conscious. Suitable for vegans and dog friendly. Great coffee and really lovely staff. Perfect for a break from driving, if you're heading to/from Cornwall.

Its very close to the highway and takes a 6-8 mins detour both ways. Has ample parking space. Food is freshly made. Coffee and drinks are refreshing and freshly brewed. Great value for money. The staff and seating arrangements ensure that social distancing is maintained. Perfect for a good meal while on a road trip.

First time I visited, I had an amazing breakfast with locally sourced egg, bacon, sausage and black pudding. Potato rosti and homemade baked beans. Even the tomato sauce was homemade! Second visit I had the eggs benedict and that was also of a very high standard. The coffee is without a doubt the best I have ever had anywhere. You do pay slightly more for the quality and excellent table service, but it's worth it! Friendly and efficient staff, relaxed atmosphere - a hidden gem!

We found this little Cafe about two years ago in our way to Cornwall. We have visited it ever since on our way to Cornwall. Food is lovely. It's so nice not to have to use the service stations. Service is very good and staff are very pleasant. I would recommend that everyone uses it.

We stopped here to have a break from the 303 traffic and use the loo but thought we should atleast buy a coffee which was excellent. We ordered a full breakfast with a great rosti, sausage, bacon, egg, crumbly but moist black pudding and what seemed to be homemade baked beans. The staff were chatty, friendly and welcoming. We would definately return.
