Metro Bank

This bank is great! My card was stolen and they returned all my money back to me without a hassle. They also have amazing operating hours and good customer support at their branches.

The staff here are very helpful, big thank you to a staff member named Anchra she explained and showed me how to use the change machines and also help me sort out my online banking issues, was very patient and understanding, big thank you to Luis as well! great staff, great bank,!

I spoke to Christian today...I think he works at their call centre...was such a polite and friendly gentleman...I was very worried about my account but he managed so well and in a very calm way...Then I spoke to his manager and gave her a brilliant feedback about Christian...they are always happy to help...just love them and their service...❤❤❤❤💗💯💯💯💝

Can't speak highly enough of the staff in branch. Ian the business manager is amazing and he makes a good cup of tea!! They sorted out my problem with no fuss and Najwa was lovely as well, really helpful. Wouldn't go to any other bank now. Well done guys your amazing.

Very pleasant surprised that after an appeal to a credit limit increase, the managers were open to make a manual review, overriding the automatic one. All is well when ends well. I'll make sure next time to have base salary updated in the bank system, before starting anything.

Really friendly service! I was able to open a personal and business account on the same day and got my debit cards to go! The new mobile app is brilliant and lets you see personal and business accounts under one login. Also a huge plus for professional and fast telephone support!

Opened an account with them in the Hemel Hempstead branch, and was not really familiar with the bank previously. So I went into the store and straight away was greeted with a nice and friendly face, and had an appointment within 2 minutes of my arrival!

They showed me around the bank and some of the cool features such as the coin counter section which I thought is a very unique thing to have in a bank, the public toilet, the safe boxes, treats for my dog etc...really really nice and welcoming.

Now the best part...I went in at 10AM and by 10:20 I had my account opened, and with most banks you have to wait until your card comes through the post...but not here, they gave me the card there and then and it was all good to go! I am so impressed by their service!

I bank with Santander too, if you want to know how they deal with things then simply read the opposite of what I have written here, in a nut shell worst bank in the world probably.

I was scared by the reviews as returning in london after a few years but the service I had was excellent, very quick and convenient. I never had problems with metro bank.

I just had best customer service especially from Matt and Liam. i recommend to use this branch compared to rest of other banks. Thank you metro bank for your excellent customer service

Very impressed, business bank account with onsite printed bank card opened in under 2 hours!! The only customer-focused bank in UK at present.

Example: I tried to open a business account with HSBC, NatWest and Santander when opened my limited company. These arrogant banks asked me to call and make appointments with their business manager on weekday (which is impossible because I work 9-5), then after a week I need to go through a mini business interview and then after another week I'll be able to know if they'll be able to open a business account for me. It takes so long that it looks like this is designed to scare and deter business people from opening a business account. NatWest is the worst out of them all. Then I went to Metro bank on a Saturday. One of the guy called me to his desk to understand my requirements. He took my details and business details and then opened a business account for me in less than 2 hours. It's that simple! I also received my bank card printed in the branch at the time. Simply Brilliant! This is the only bank, which is trully utilising the latest advancement in technology and centralised data sharing.

I really like this bank. I had a situation with a direct debit error; I thought getting my money reimbursed by the bank would be hopeless - we all know what banks are like!
One girl who works there (I'll call her M.M. in case she doesn't want me letting the internet know she works there!) was so incredibly helpful, and really on the case.

Long story short Metrobank reimbursed me promptly. I think it's partly due to their policies putting customer service first, but I definitely have M.M. to thank too!

The only customer-service focused bank in England.

Example: I went in to Barclays asking them to print some statements for me. They told me it would cost £5, would take a week to be delivered because of 'UK banking rules and regulations'. I went into Metro and asked the same thing, and they printed some out for me in seconds.

Generally find them ok. Not my main bank, just a spare account. Staff are helpful, and direct you to what you need. They offer you a tea or coffee if you want, and have toilets. They have a coin counting machine, which can play up. Only thing is you then have to go to the counter to pay it in or get the cash. They are opening more branches or stores as they call them.

Business application processed quickly and professionally in 1 hour only by lovely Ana Patricia. Bank card received and online banking activated on the same day. Impressed! Strongly recommended.

I was having a rough day and Shaman's excellent customer service lifted it. Sorted my issues and made me some tea! Great guy - he deserves a raise!
