Our first trip to Africa, very first safari experience, and our honeymoon all rolled into one. Yellow Zebra outdid themselves! We had an absolute ball and made memories for a lifetime! This company knows what they're doing. The prices are well worth what you get out of the trip, and EVERYTHING (minus your international flights) is booked for you by the agency. It's amazing! We had a plan to follow that was tailored to exactly what we were looking for, and more! We were treated like Kings and Queens!👑👌 We definitely want to make it back to Africa one day, and without a doubt we will be booking with Yellow Zebra again! Thank you so much!😍💛😊

We had a phenomenal experience with Yellow Zebra Safaris! Wies helped our group create a custom experience which was no small feat because we all had different arrival/departure dates and it was a short notice trip. The planning and execution of the trip was easy and completely flawless.
He was able to use his expert knowledge to guide us to the right safari areas for the time of year, recommend excellent tours and arrange all transfers and border crossings. The value of our trip seemed to exceed our budget.
On arrival, we were thrilled with our lodging, the level of service and how smoothly every part of the trip went. Each person we encountered from Yellow Zebra, the transfer companies and the lodges were friendly, professional and made us feel so welcomed. The actual safaris were fantastic!
I would without hesitation recommend Yellow Zebra Safaris. Their knowledge and expertise is invaluable in planning and it helped us create an amazing and worry free trip!

Would not book an African Safari anywhere else. From James to Wies, Catia and Sylvia. Everyone employed by this company truly cares! They really want you to have the most amazing experience. And we had just that! They'll help you create the perfect itinerary, give you reminders and updates up to your departure date, and answer any questions you have along the way.

Yellow Zebra has been everything we could have dreamed of. They helped us plan a trip to Kenya to visit our son, who is a Peace Corps volunteer. It is by far the most ambitious trip we've ever taken, and we were pretty intimidated by all the choices and logistics we faced. Wies, Jason, and Kristen have worked what feels like magic to plan an incredible itinerary, a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Booked our safari trip to Tanzania early next year with Yellow Zebra. Lauren has been extremely helpful and professional, making the whole planning stage such a hassle-free experience. The whole booking experience is quite efficient and transparent as well.

Really looking forward to the trip and will recommend Yellow Zebra to all of our friends visiting Africa.

We have just returned from an amazing 2 week safari in Tanzania and beach break in Zanzibar. It was our first safari and I'm so pleased that, after much research, I opted to book with Yellow Zebra. The service we received from our agent, Lauren Van de Meer, was second to none. From the start to the end of our holiday, every moment was magical! We were delighted with the standard of accommodation and the exceptional service we had from all staff, whether it be from our driver/guide or any of the staff in the camps. During my stay, I was ill ( probably from the Malaria tablets) and I just want to express my gratitude to Laura for organising medication which was flown out to the Serengeti in just over 12 hours from the moment I contacted her! Thank you so much! We had a holiday of a lifetime and would not hesitate to recommend Yellow Zebra to anyone.

This is our first safari and i was really impressed with the whole process, from initial enquiry through to booking. The communication and responsiveness was fantastic. Lauren was very knowledgeable and patient with the number of questions and changes we made! Her in depth knowledge and experience was a key factor in our decision to go with Yellow Zebra. Would recommend.

I cant say enough good things about Yellow Zebra Safaris. From our first contact with Lauren, it has been a super-positive experience. I usually book all my own arrangements, but booking multi-day safaris in different locations, with air transfers and land transfers it was a complex undertaking. Lauren listened to what we wanted and proposed an excellent itinerary for us. She has lived in Africa and completely understands the area and the places she recommends. After some tweaking, we selected accommodations from a few options. We loved our holiday! The accommodation was first rate, the food was fantastic, all the transfers went off without a hitch. We saw everything we wanted to see, and more. We experienced the Great Wildebeest Migration and it was fantastic! A few weeks before travelling I noticed something in our itinerary that I wanted to change and add a game drive. After an email to the Yellow Zebra Operations team, Bronwyn came back with a very positive 'no-problem' attitude,. She made adjustments by the next day once confirming things with the operators in Africa. Overall it was a very positive experience. I would recommend engaging with Yellow Zebra Safaris and allow then to organize and book your vacation!

We just came back from a nine day Safari to Kenya and I cannot say enough how impressed I was with the advice we received from Yellow Zebra as well as with the superb organization from this trip. This was my husband’s first trip to Kenya and my first after 30 years. From the pickup at our hotel in Nairobi until our return to Nairobi everything went smoothly and we did not have to worry about anything. We stayed in two very different places. First, at Lewa Wilderness in the Lewa North Conservancy, where we got to see a lot of rhinos. Lewa Wilderness is a family owned camp. We stayed in a spacious but cozy cottage with view over the river - fabulous. The Lewa team was welcoming and extremely professional. We had our own guide who did an exceptional job explaining all the wildlife in Lewa. This is a little bigger camp with lots of activities. I think it is the perfect stop to start a safari for families and those who need to be eased into the safari experience. Kudos to Matt, our agent at Yellow Zebra Safaris, who had advised us to start here. Our next stop was Ngare Serenai in the Mara North Conservancy. A small camp with only four luxury tents across the Mara River. To get to it, one has to cross a narrow hanging bridge. The camp staff made us feel like we are being part of the family, especially Fatima, our host. There were only a few guests and we were the only ones our last two days. Our guide and driver James had a breath of knowledge to share not only about the wildlife but also about the Masai and the Conservancy. One day we did a bush walk in the morning where we hiked up to the rim to get a fabulous view over the plains. The wildlife is very different from Lewa. We saw lions, leopards and cheetahs and lots of game. It also had started to rain in the Mara, so everything was very green. Thanks again to Yellow Zebra Safaris for organizing this outstanding trip that exceeded our expectations.

Look no further than Yellow Zebra Safaris for the trip of a lifetime! They did not miss a beat!

I started planning this trip back in 2018 for a trip in 2021. I was partnered with Charlotte who made everything so accessible and not stressful. We started with a phone call where I told her what I was looking for and she fixed me right up. Several emails back and forth, a few tweaks, and we had our itinerary. The incredible journey included Giraffe Manor, Swala Camp, Gibb's Farm, Naona Moru Camp, Kaskaz Camp, an early morning hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti, and Hotel Matlai in Zanzibar.

Fast forward to 2020 and COVID. All of our plans imploded, but YZS stood strong through it all. With the uncertainty at the time, we decided to forego 2021 and rebook for 2022. Everything had to be rescheduled. Not once did YZS ever make excuses or complain. They just made it happen. I was partnered with Emma now. Truly one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet or to work with. Always enthusiastic, understanding, and kind. She had great suggestions and advice. I can't imagine it going any better.

All the red tape with reservations, vouchers, e-tickets, etc., was all taken care of for us. A huge relief!

We had the best time! The journey itself was exhausting, but in a good way. Finishing it all up in Zanzibar, relaxing on the beach, was definitely the way to go!

Special mentions go out to Henry and Vincent at Giraffe Manor; Moses, Abuu, and Honest at Swala; Justin at Naona Moru; Mohamed, Hashim, Chef S, and Tim at Matlai. All my complete honor to meet!

Thanks Charlotte, Janine, Catherine, Bronwyn, James, and most especially, Emma!! You guys ROCK!!

My husband and I just got back from the most amazing honeymoon trip in Tanzania booked with Yellow Zebra! We really had no idea what we were doing planning this trip and Olivia made it all so easy. We knew we wanted the trip to be part safari part beach. Olivia asked us about our interests and designed us the perfect itinerary to fit exactly what we hoped to experience on the trip. She was very responsive and helped us every step of the way, giving us advice on where to stay and when to go so that we were present for the height of the wildebeest migration and could see the most animals. We were nervous about travelling with all that could go wrong due to covid testing, delays, etc but Olivia kept us updated on any kind of requirements and the whole trip was genuinely seamless. Everything including domestic flights, transfer drives, all our meals, hotel stays everything was included so we really didn’t have to worry about a single thing on this trip.

We stayed at all Lemala camps and lodges while on safari (Ngorongoro, Ndutu and Nanyukie) and all of our guides were very informative and helpful and really seemed to want us to experience as much as we could. Our beach resort, Kilindi, Olivia personally recommended and my husband and I have never been so pampered in our lives it is truly paradise. Everywhere we stayed they decorated our bed and gave us free champagne since it was our honeymoon. My husband and I also both had our birthdays during the trip and the hotels were informed so that we each got a celebratory cake on our birthday! This was an incredible once in a lifetime trip for us, but if we are able to go back we are absolutely booking with Yellow Zebra again!

Organised a family safari through Yellow Zebra - excellent advice and insight, valuable "extras" (support through immigration, ground support in Kenya etc) and a friendly approach to help us plan our first safari. Would highly recommend and will be looking to the team for our next adventure! Thanks Olivia and team 😊

Since our safari is still months away, I have no gorgeous pics to share of lions and exotic lodges and baby elephants. But I am more than happy to share our quick and delightful planning stage with Matt Court. We were convinced by our research and then the director/co-founder Julian's YouTube videos that YZ was the best tour operator to work with.

We made the call with more questions than answers. But then Matt's questions helped us define what was most important to us. He then had the knowledge and first hand experience to make suggestions. Within a week of back and forth emails and video chats we had the basic shape of the where and when of our trip. Another week or so and the itinerary was detailed and complete.

A shout out to their operations team - after we confirmed the trip we heard from Charlotte. One of her questions: "Does your husband's CPAP machine need distilled water?" This may sound small, but it's a huge indication that there is an exquisite attention to detail and caring for their travelers.

I hope the universe cooperates and we take our trip as planned. We already love it.

Yellow zebra organised my safari to the Masai Mara and it was the best holiday I have ever had. Jesse planned my trip and was always on hand to answer any questions I had or to amend my itinerary. The trip was organised to perfection even though I travelled during the new Omicron variant. I travelled on my own and was a bit anxious about going during Covid but the whole team made the experience as stress free as possible. I will definitely book my next safari trip with Yellow Zebra. Thank you very much for the most magical experience.

Thank you Yellow Zebra Safaris, especially Lauren. We had a wonderful honeymoon! Lauren was extremely helpful throughout the entire booking process. She even reached out throughout the trip and afterward to make sure there were no issues. After our 3 week stay in Kenya, it was hard to leave. All the internal flights and accommodations were easy flowing with no issues. We loved all the camps and lodges we stayed at. At each location, we had our own guide, who was informative about all the animals went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed each day. We will use Yellow Zebra Safaris in the future!

We would definitely recommend using Yellow Zebra to organize any trip, and would use it again in any future trips. We planned and organized our honeymoon trip to Southafrica (Capetown, Kruger Park and Johannesburg) and Seychelles with Yellow Zebra and it was the best decision we made! We live in Guatemala and at first we had no idea of where to start or what hotels and lodges to stay in. We organized it all through e-mail with Kelly Mattin. Kelly was REALLY helpful and patient with us. She booked our internal flights, hotels, transfers, and even meals (I cannot eat gluten, and everywhere we went she made sure they knew I was GF) We didn´t have to think of anything and just enjoy. Everything worked out smoothly and we didn´t have any problems with anything or anyone, since everyone was on time and everything worked as planned. Kelly looked for special honeymoon deals and packages for us, and we were greatly benefited. She found the best lodge for us in Kruger Park, where we saw the big 5 in two game drives!! We stayed at Dulini River Lodge and fell in love with it.
It was the best trip of our lives, and mostly thanks to Yellow Zebra and the luxurious and comfortable accommodations they booked, as well as the organization involved in the transfers, which we didn’t have to worry about.

We recently took a 17 day trip to South Africa and Botswana and the vacation planned by James Shortt was OUT OF THIS WORLD. The recommendations were perfect, the planning and timing of everything went so smoothly. It was the trip of a lifetime, almost too good to be true.
We started out in Cape Town for 4 days, and enjoyed a beautiful stay at Cape Grace. The customer service there was spot on, room was beautiful, breakfasts included were spectacular and the whiskey bar on the water downstairs made for beautiful sunsets.

At the recommendation of James, we went to Franschhoek for two nights, and we are so happy we did as it was one of the highlights of the trip. Sky scraping mountain vistas surrounding a quaint town, and the boutique hotel, le Quartier Francais lives up to its reputation as one of the top boutique hotels in the world. The wine tasting was wonderful and our final meal there at La Petit Colombe was worthy of michelin recognition.

From there we went on to Londolozi Varty for a 3 day safari. This was a 6 star experience. Everything was thought of before you could even think of it, and the attention to detail was something I had never experienced in our many years of travel. Our final night, they planned and set up an impromptu dinner in the bush, with full bar, hundreds of gas lit lamps, and the usual gourmet food. An experience I will never forget. It was like a pop up restaurant/wedding reception in the middle of the African Bush. Truly spectacular.

Leaving with tears in our eyes, we headed via Zambia to ZImbabwe, and spent a night at Victoria Falls Hotel, and visited the falls. We got to see the falls from both helicopter and up close! Very different from Londolozi safari, and was interesting to see the history of the town and the hotel itself. The hotel has an enormous Moroccan style pool with cabanas that make you feel like you've traveled back in time.

We finished our trip in Botswana at Qorokwe with another 3 day safari. It is a new camp and working out some kinks, but the accommodations were beautifully done, and without AC in the rooms, we cooled off during the day in the infinity pool that overlooks the Okavongo Delta, which always had elephants, zebras, and baboons walking by. While we saw the big 5 in Londolozi, Botswana was brimming with beautiful wild life, and felt like we were truly one with nature there.

I would use Yellow Zebra again in a heartbeat, especially for a trip back to South Africa, and highly recommend James Shortt. Within 48hrs of discussing what we wanted and budget, he had two different itineraries planned. Then once chosen, we received a thick bound booklet with all of our travel information and what we needed for planning, vaccinations, visas, etc. It was the easiest process. Thank you Yellow Zebra, and THANK YOU JAMES SHORTT!!!!! Sending a lot more business your way :)

When we kicked off our Tanzania safari planning 7 weeks ago YZ were not on our radar at all, but during enquiries with three of the major specialised holiday companies they popped up out of the blue during 'net surfing. The combination of brilliant reviews and excellent, informative website got us hooked. Now, after some 5 weeks of friendly, knowledgeable, responsive and flexible service, we have a wonderful trip to look forward to later this year, after which we expect to reinforce this positive review.

I was tasked with planning a honeymoon that I was going to keep secret from my fiance for basically an entire year and reveal on our wedding night. I reached out to Yellow Zebra to work with Sam Wallace on a very ambitious plan: 3 nights in the Serengeti, 5 nights in Zanzibar, followed by a full day in Nairobi while we wait out a 12 hour layover on international flights. I reached out to 2 other travel companies as well, and they simply presented me with 1/2 options and not a lot of insight into why i would pick one option vs another. Sam made our interactions more of an open ended conversation of options and why you would pick 1 vs the other. In the end we picked an amazing experience that lived up to the hype. I would definitely work with Sam and Yellow Zebra again for a trip of this magnitude. I would also like to throw in an extra compliment to the travel service Sam organized for our day in Nairobi. I was most worried about this day(that it might be rushed/hectic) but the guide he booked for us took care of us for the entire day, taking us to the Giraffe Center, Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, and 2 amazing meals. cheers!

This was our first safari to Africa. Kirsten Woolley was wonderful in helping us with planning and booking many different destinations. We highly recommend Yellow Zebra as they are pleasant to deal with and were the most accessible by phone or email answering our questions and providing options. We will recommend them to our friends and shall definitely use them in our future African adventures.
