We were looking for a vet after our beloved Alan from Highgate Vet retired last year and we couldn't have asked for a better "replacement" than at Amwell. Dale is incredibly knowledgeable and caring and so is Margaret. Very very happy!

The best vets I have ever been to hands down. Very kind and thorough. My cats love Dale and Margaret. It was very fairly priced. Would hate to be without them.

Dale is a compassionate vet who does not oversell and takes a holistic view of situations. Highly recommended.

Amazing veterinary care, truly dedicated vet. Margaret too is simply wonderful, full of knowledge and always happy to give advice. I travel half way across London to this practice in the care of my beloved pets and I would never ever dream of leaving! Cannot find anything but utterly deserving praise!

I cannot recommend this very special vet highly enough. We were fitted in for our first visit, welcomed like old friends and for the first time ever, my dog was not frightened in a vets. I have seen many vets over the years with different pets, and this was the most positive experience ever. My darling girl was seen, diagnosed by Dale quickly, Margaret was efficient and kind and the nurse was too. I feel very blessed to have landed just at the right place when my girl will need regular monitoring. Large practices simply cannot compete with the intimacy and care offered here. Thank you for seeing us.

This practice is fantastic. Dale is the greatest old school vet on the planet. In a world of business first vets, he embodies patient first. He is bright, conservative in treatment, caring, experienced and a true professional. Anyone complaining about prices here, simply lacks the experience to understand how Dales conservatism pays off through cost avoidance. He saved both of our dogs from life threatening situations requiring surgery. We were lucky to have him. Treat the office with respect, Margaret is a wealth of knowledge herself.

I'm so happy that I was able to register my dog with this small independent practice. They are kind, very professional and take really good care of her. They're very good at reasuuring anxious owners too!

Very friendly practice with an emphasis on ethics. Margaret on reception is compassionate and very knowledgeable. Dale (vet) has treated two cats I've brought in smoothly and effectively and has a real knack with them. Recommend.

I am the founder of a cat charity that helps cats in East and Central London. Having done rescue work for some years I deal with hundreds of cats and see many vets. The mark of a truly good vet is not only excellent diagnostic & surgical skills but also compassion. Dale far surpasses other vets I have used in both these respects. For Dale being a vet is a vocation and not just a career and this is evident in his work and his results. Time and again he has given a spot-on diagnosis that other vets have overlooked, and saved a cat’s life. He and his wife Margaret, the Practice Manager, work long hours to make sure the needs of the animals in their care are met. This includes hospitalised animals being attended to early in the morning and on Sundays. They also take in stray cats and give them any necessary veterinary attention. A recent case is a kitten who suffered two broken legs in a road traffic accident. Many vets call people like me when they have a cat brought to them in such a state and the charity then has to fund the treatment costs. Not Dale. He will treat the cat himself and care for him or her until they can find the animal a home. Such vets are sadly fairly rare these days. One of my own young cats recently went into kidney failure. I cannot imagine any other practice that would offer my cat the same expert treatment and level of care. While many veterinary practices are now part of corporate groups and their atmosphere leans towards the cold and clinical, this practice is what pet owners look for in a traditional vet practice. Everyone I recommend Dale to has been equally impressed with his patience, outstanding veterinary skills and degree of caring. More than one has likened him to a ‘cat whisperer’. This is one of the best veterinary practices around.

I have been taking my Westie here for 11 years.
Though this is a small practice, there is always first class service from Dale and Margaret.
Centrally located, one of the few, in this area of London.

This is by far the best Vet. Very helpful and compassionate. I’m with Dale and Margret for the last 20+ years. I think that says it all. Simple the best.

Dale and Margaret were recommended to us 15 years ago and although it’s not the closest to where we live, I wouldn’t go anywhere else with our now rather elderly cat. Kind, caring, totally trustworthy - a superb small practice. Thank you!

Margaret and Dale are an incredible team. Our Romanian rescue dog Dylan unfortunately has behavioural issues, including territorial and fear reactivity in certain very specific circumstances. He has recently decided he doesn't like the vet and hates being injected even more - which has caused us a lot of stress and anxiety because he needs to be vaccinated to go to day care, which he loves, and we've had instances where he's ideally needed to go to emergency vets out of hours and they've been unable to inject him as needed.

Dale and Margaret have been so kind, thoughtful and patient with us and Dylan. After four failed attempts and a lot of muzzle training, we finally cracked it today and we are so relieved and thrilled. They never give up on us - as challenging as Dylan can be - and we are so grateful as we continue to work to make Dylan's life as calm and as rewarding as possible, in light of his difficult start. Dale and Margaret's constant help and guidance is so helpful in that. We would recommend Amwell Vets to anyone!

My cat received nothing but the best care in the years I have used this Service. I appreciated Dale's pragmatic approach. Margaret went out of her way to meet my elderly cat's needs during the difficult time of lockdown. My cat died in November (he was 18 years of age) and managed to live the last couple of years in comfort, in spite of being diagnosed with Diabetes. Thank you to Dale and Margaret for enabling me to feel that I /we did the best we could for my beloved Bailey, may he RIP.

Dale and Margaret looked after our cats for many years when we lived in Islington. We are very grateful for their very caring approach. We wish them the best.

Registered at here and RVC when first got our puppy years ago. After coming once knew would stay here. So brilliant, kind and considerate. Only want to do the right by my pet. They are gentle kind and consistent in their care. Not out to make a quick buck or an upsell and lovely team.
